I can't think of one instance today where Liverpool looked comfortable defensively. I know United weren't great yesterday, but Liverpool are on a different level in that respect.
-
I'm watching the game and it's been really enjoyable, so far. Lots of chances and a feeling that a goal could come at any moment. Think that there's at least another two in this. Could finish 5-2, as well!

Man, Everton got smashed today. Think that'll be it for Koeman.

Any tips that you can give me, braaah? I'm going to spend half term looking at ways to improve this. I guess that it was extra tricky with it being my first time. Hashtag popping my cherry. I've spent yesterday and today chilling with the cats. Yeah, the formal aspect of it just made it seem a million times more difficult. Plus, it's meant to be a semi-religious type of event, so it's difficult to pitch it. So, I just kept it really simple and short. I think I did the right thing.

I loved that rap song about life in the care home. I've found that South Park isn't as laugh out loud funny as it used to be, but it's a lot of the subtler jokes that get me. Just checked out the rap that you were just talking about. Amazing!

Tempted to watch some of the football this afternoon and then a few episodes of South Park before and after playing The Stick of Truth. Really in the mood now. Butters

If you actually watch the show, the game actually follows on from the plot line and continues it, it's really clever (especially knowing how they write the episodes only and week before broadcast). I'm hoping they do the same with FBH. I watch the show, but haven't watched it in any sort of order for a long time. It's usually an episode here, then an earlier episode there and so on. Really tempted to go back to the beginning and watch it all from scratch and in order. Where does The Stick of Truth fit in?

One thing that I'd advise playing this game is to save regularly. Just make it a habit. There's nothing more heart-breaking than making loads of progress only to lose it all and find that the autosave isn't as recent as you would like. You do have to be a bit thoughtful in your approach to the game. E.g. always making sure that you keep your health, potions, etc topped up. The early stages can be quite tough going. I found myself dying fairly often until I learned to meditate more often and heavily rely on the swallow potion. Also, when tackling beasts, look at your bestiary at the weaknesses of each creature. This will help make the more difficult beasts much more easier to slay. I used the Quen sign loads to put up a protective barrier and then Igni to burn things to shiiiit.

I've had an insane week in work and am looking forward to just chilling out over half-term. In short, it's all going well so far, but it does feel like being reborn and learning lots of things from scratch. I had to help run the Harvest festival service on Friday and was already a bit nervous about a "reflection" that I had to do at the end of it, which would be around five minutes long, in front of a shitload of parents. But, it was decided about 20 minutes beforehand that we kinda needed somebody to do lots of introductions to each part, e.g. to introduce which year groups were coming to the stage and what would be happening after that. Basically, I had to play host with less than 20 minutes preparation time. So, what ended up initially just being a five minute reflection ended up being much more than that. Talking to children is easy, but the parents are terrifying. Managed to get through it ok. I guess this is something that I'll be doing more of, so going to start to look into ways to improve here. E.g. to make my voice sound less like the shrill of a banshee and more pleasing to the ear. Hosting is haaaard. Dunno how people do it!

I use Reddit (browsing and reading, not posting) and am now used to its layout. But, I do agree that it's quite messy and can be a pain to follow. I don't really read Neogaf, but I know others that do and how informative it can be there. It'll be a shame if the place crashes due to the actions of its owner. A shame for the fans to have that area tarnished. Hope the whole thing can be resolved with a positive outcome for the fans, but with appropriate justice carried out against the owner.

The Stick of Truth is fantastic. Really, really enjoying it at the moment and just find myself laughing at all of the little one-liners or nods to the tv series. It just feels like you're playing through an episode or season of the show. Can't wait to play The Fractured But Whole next.

@Eenuh has bought me this for half-term. Hooray! I've used the code to download The Stick of Truth and will go through that first.

Huddersfield were by far the better team today. They had so much more composure and were more comfortable with the ball and without it. Thoroughly deserved all of the points. A really poor performance from United today. Dreadful final ball and no real width. Pissed off at the amount of times we get the ball into good areas, only for a player to be in an offside position. Also, taking corner kicks that don't make it past the first man...shouldn't really be happening at this level.

Just out of curiosity, why would Liverpool be confident after that? I didn't think that they were particularly good either and they couldn't score past a United team that hardly attacked. Plus, they had the advantage of being home. The Premier League is a huge product and the money men will definitely have made a killing from today's game. There are certain games that carry huge prestige because of the history behind the fixtures. I'd also count the North London derby as another and also West Ham vs. Spurs, too. If you're going to advertise such a "product", you'd want the best version of said product. Having two knackered teams that can't even field their best squads because players picked up injuries on international duty (Bailly, Mane, Rashford (not fully fit, but played today as a late sub), Fellaini, etc). It doesn't show off the Premier League in the best light and devalues it as a product. That's one issue. The bigger issue for me is that the international breaks just kill momentum for a lot of Premier League teams. It leads to a very stop-start season. Wouldn't it just be better to block off all the international games and get them done during one go? All of that is a minor point anyway. The bigger issue for me is how we approached the fixture today and how we play against certain teams away from home. I felt that we could have done a lot more today than we did and didn't test Liverpool anywhere near enough as we should. That's by far the bigger issue and one that we can certainly address ourselves. Anyway, Arsenal and Chelsea lost away from home today, so maybe it isn't all bad.

One of those games which makes you wonder why you even bother watching this sport. Awful game and stupid from the organisers to put an international break before such a high profile match. Players looked knackered from both sides and our tactics were shocking. Don't think we even set foot in their box in the second half. Is there any point in watching us against the likes of City or Chelsea away if this is how we handle the bigger teams away from home? *goes back to playing Overwatch*

I'm just crying at the missed opportunity of having my old full name as an email address. What could have been!

That's pretty rough, dude. Good luck and I hope that things work out soon.

We watched the Belgium game against Bosnia through a Belgian news source. I have to say that the pitch is definitely one of the worst that I've seen in recent years. It rained pretty heavily too, so that didn't help matters. Crazy game that finished 4-3 to Belgium! Definitely was worth tuning in for. Watching the Netherlands right now and it's sad to see how much they're struggling. They've got waaaaay too many players who either aren't good enough or too many players who are in need of being phased out. The young players just aren't living up to it either, like Depay. They need a younger, vibrant coach who will get these guys playing exciting football again.

Downloaded the demo/beta version of this. When can I actually play it?

I adore Horizon. I reckon that you should go for it now, because you may not like it and then not want to play the DLC anyway. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't/shouldn't like it. The combat is superb.

Liverpool's next three fixtures: Man United (h) Maribor (a) Spurs (a) In their current form, I fancy United to get a result at Anfield. Would have preferred to have played them before the break...
-
Man, that's too much of a ball ache to go through to just play one game. I don't own a PS1, PS2 or PS3, so I have no real way of playing those games.

May try The Phantom Pain. It'll be my first MGS game! I gave Ground Zeroes a try and didn't really click with it. We'll see!

Good victory against Palace yesterday. Buuuut, they were awful in so many ways. Their pressing was shocking, as was their marking. Lukaku was completely free for his goal, as was Mata. Can't see where their goals are coming from. Worried about exactly how long Pogba will be out for. But, we've got Herrera there to step in if need be. Matic is the player who keeps the midfield ticking over and is a large part of the reason why the team are doing well.

Lukaku with another goal. He got 26 goals last season for Everton and it looks like he'll surpass that this season if he keeps going at this rate. Just what we needed!
