  1. Whenever I think about this, I feel quite sad because at the centre of all of this saga, a little girl is missing. There have been various conspiracy theories, particularly one about the parents accidentally killing her and then going through all of this as a huge cover up. If that does turn out to be the case, then...that is astonishing. However, as viewers, people like to speculate about different situations and what might have happened. People love stories. The simplest theory of what happened is what the parents are claiming, that the girl was taken by someone other than her parents. However, there are so many unanswered questions. Why were her other kids, who I think were sleeping next to Maddie, why were they left and Maddie taken? Why was she even taken in the first place? For what purpose and reason? Put yourself in the parent's position. If you were them, you would do everything you could to get her back. The measures they have gone to are extraordinary, but if many others could do the same for their kids, they probably would as well. The worst thing possibly is not knowing if she is safe, or if she even is alive. How can the parents possibly move on or bring some normality to their life without knowing that?
  2. That music is pretty soothing, but there's something about the vocals and words that I enjoyed, too. It goes together nicely for me.
  3. It is criminal that Galaxy hasn't sold more. In my opinion, every Wii owner should have it in their collection. I know quite a few Wii owners, and they all have it. If the worldwide shipment of Wiis totals at around 50 million (just had a quick browse on wiki for that) then to say that one in every five Wii owners has galaxy is...not as high as it should be. Surely you'd expect one in every other Wii owner to own it.
  4. I'm glad you like it! It's really something quite special, to me anyway. Maybe because I associate it with nice feelings or a good memory. I don't know what you would call that type of music. It's the sort of thing that I like, though.
  5. Did you not see what he did with the ice cream in the other thread? You sure you want that as your female? You Brave, Kid.
  6. The fatal error here is that you are although sexy, still lacking the breasts. It could've been a threesome type of thing, but I like things in even numbers. So, either bring a friend, or get your haaaands off my female.
  7. You're gonna get fat, boyyy. WiiFitTriplePlus for you. The 360 did come out quite a bit earlier, I can't remember how long it was off the top of my head. To be honest, due to my poorness, I tend to buy lots of things retrospectively. I beefed up my SNES collection around the time the N64 was out. Then, at the time Majora's Mask came along, I picked up a 64 and built a collection from there. I saved loads because most stuff I bought was second hand. The Gamecube was where I started to buy things from the start. I'd be interested in sitting down and working out how much more money I've spent buying Cube or Wii games compared to the method I used beforehand. Having each console does give you access. But, there really is a lot more to the Wii than just those three games. That's why I only stick with the one system, because I feel I get more "depth" out of it with the games I buy. Sure, it would be great being able to play all the "big" games on each system, but there is so much more to each system than the bigger games. Two of my favourite games last generation were Killer7 and Eternal Darkness. Granted, one of these is still a Nintendo-exclusive or created game (kinda...ish...) but they are still very different to what others enjoyed last generation. The Metroid Prime or Wind Waker replies. Thank you.
  8. A Radiohead post followed by a post about Cherly Cole? What a world! I can't stop listening to this song. It was playing in Ine's Dad's car when we were going somewhere and I instantly knew I liked it. Then, I heard it again, and I thought "I've gotta know what this is." Beautiful song, imo. Also, I can't stop listening to Massive Attack. That concert the other week has made me want them inside me.
  9. I remember I created a thread in the past about this sorta subject. But, bluddy hell, I don't understand how people have the time or, more importantly, the money to own all three consoles (sometimes both handhelds) and still continue to buy the games...that's tough stuff. I think there are so many gamers out there who do not know what their limits are. It's kinda like going to a restuarant and ordering a meal, with different courses. I know when I'm full. By comparison, others just seem to have bottomless stomachs. To me, as a gamer, I've always known what my limits are. I think many out there only choose to go for the one system, and it works well for them. It's always worked well for me to have one home console and one handheld. Last generation, I picked up an Xbox second hand (only paid 30 quid, as me and my brothers put money in together) and only ended up buying 4 or so games. By the time I had bought it, the Gamecube had taken up my heart and my time. I know that each console have their merits, their features and their wonderful games. But, I can't fathom having all three, plus both handhelds. To me, it's overkill. At the moment, I have a healthy Wii collection just shy of 20 games. It's small compared to many others. But, to contemplate having the same amount of games on each system...I find it quite sickening. Hats off to those who can do it. But, that's too much for me. (that's pretty off topic, but I caught that bit of your post and felt I had to reply to it) Edit: So, my point is that I don't neccessarily think that you need to own "everything" to be a "true gamer."
  10. I agree, this is some sick shit. There are things that they are doing that is just an insult to ice cream.
  11. That's how I feel, too. You need relegation and promotion, because how humiliating would it feel for the same team to finish bottom of the league each season? Relegation is sometimes a good thing, because it can allow teams to re-build themselves again, and they're not just thrown back in at the deep end. And, promotion: How proud must you feel to see your team promoted to the next league? We need to keep these sorts of things in football, not throw them out. I'm pleased with the wn against Blackburn, especially as I was a tad bit nervous about it, because they can be a bit problematic and I wasn't sure how we'd recover from the defeat against Liverpool. Again, I thought Berbatov looked very good. I smiled so hard when his shot went in (lovely goal, btw) and he celebrated in front of the crowd. I genuinally think many fans are starting to get won over now and are liking his creative style of play. From what I remember, he got a standing ovation when he went off for Owen. Probably one of our best performers this season. The difference today was the service in to him was a lot better. Anderson and Valencia were both excellent and seem to get better with every game. I thought Valencia was our best performer last weekend. The Liverpool situation is not down to Glen Johnson. It's the fact that there is lack of unity. There are no individual mistakes, but collectively there is no stability or spark there. You outplayed us last weekend, but the momentum hasn't carried on at all. As Happenstance says, look outside of the main 11, and it's a worry. The only regular "impact player" or sub that I can remember coming on regularly in games is Babel. N'Gog in a few games here and there. I still think Rafa should have built a bigger squad of players by now. Take United for example: Rio and Vidic didn't play, and in stepped Wes Brown and Johnny Evans. Most United fans didn't even blink, because we know what these players can do, and we trust them to come in and do the job well. Do you feel the same when you see Kyrgiakos or Degen on the teamsheet? Or Voronin? There were so many red cards in the Premier League over the weekend. Quite a few of them were harsh...about half shouldn't have been given, imo.
  12. Haha, I did refrain from properly slating the bloke. But, when I was reading that bit of info, I felt so disgusted with the guy. Well done to Wigan and Dave Whelan for casting him out. Should be applauded, imo. Now, more shocking news from Woman Beater Numero Deux, Stan Collymore: Did anybody read this frankly ludicrous article that he wrote about Premier League reforms? http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/stan-collymore/To-make-the-Premier-League-the-best-get-Leeds-and-Newcastle-back-get-rid-of-small-clubs-and-scrap-relegation-and-promotion-article201025.html To cut it short, 20 to 25 teams in the Premier League. No relegation. No Promotion. Newcastle and Leeds to be reinstated. "That would allow teams to attack without fear because no-one will be relegated." Words fail me. What an absolute tool.
  13. Did you guys read about Marlon King? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/w/wigan_athletic/8332728.stm The 29 year old Father of Three sexually assaulted a young woman and...punched her in the nose, breaking it. What the fuck? He's been jailed for 18 Months. Not only that, but Wigan are tearing up his contract. What a prat.
  14. I do like We Are Scientists, and I quite fondly remember the first time I ever heard that song. It was whilst I was out clubbing, and I just remember thinking "ooo, I quite like eeeet." But, the Smiths song is on a whole different level. I smile when I hear the words because I think they're sweet. "If a double decker bus, crashes in to us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die." The words are like poetry. Great artist. The Smiths. All the way.
  15. Reading through your previous posts on this page, you bang on about getting experience (which is easier said than done). However, you then change your tune and say that luck and opportunity is "the be all and end all." Correct me if I am wrong, but luck is not something that you can personally work at and improve in your own time. So, let us look at your friends with master degrees, experience, but no luck. What could they be doing more than they are not already? You can't just train to be lucky. Also, one thing I think is very important to point out is your location. From your profile, we can determine that you are from London. Now, you must know that the amount of opportunities available to you also depend on your present location. You think it's difficult seeking employment in London, you should maybe look at others who are in other locations with different circumstances. Try looking for a Primary School Teacher job in South Wales at the moment. There's no shortage of people who can do this job, but there is a shortage of space available, partly down to the economy at the moment, with schools not able to afford to take on too many staff. I would say location is a very, very important factor when seeking work. When moving back to Newport for my first summer break at Uni, I searched high and low and found nothing. In my second Summer, I decided to stay in Brighton, and found no shortage of work. I actually managed to work in two places during that summer period. The difference is, with Newport comes one set of circumstances, and with Brighton came another. Newport is meant to be an important City in Wales, but for employment opportunities it is nothing but shocking. There isn't even a town centre anymore... Another factor, like Raining said, is transport. I can drive, but lack a car at the moment. So, I'm using the train links to get about to places like Caerphily, which isn't easy at all. But, you persevere and do what you must. However, having a car is a huuuuge advantage for employment, particularly in my line of work. Finally, I would like to just explain my circumstances: Trained for 4 years to be a School Teacher. None of this PGCE business where you do something else for 3 years, then do a one year teaching degree. I knew from the start I wanted to do it, so did a straight 4 year course. I spent each year taking part in placements, and I've had people working in schools say to me that I've got more experience of teaching in schools than others have, including newly qualified teachers. I know myself that I've got bags of experience, all of which have been documented on my CV and each application form that ask for it - and believe me, they ask for it. Ine's seen the forms, and they are hard work to just fill out. So, I've got the qualifications, bags of experience, the desire to do it, and have filled out almost 10 times more applications than some of my friends and coursemates, who have got jobs. The difference is that many of these people decided to either stay in Brighton, or reside from an area such as the London area, Essex or Kent. I've got the exact same qualifications as them, and in some cases I've worked in more challenging schools. The difference is that where I am living at the moment, there are far, far less opportunities than there are in these other locations. What can anyone do about that? Moving simply isn't an option because that requires money. You can't move to a new location and look for this type of job, as the only reason I moved back in the first place was to be closer and have some support from parents. It's all well and good shouting "experience", but I can just shout back "I've worked in Key Stages 1,2,3 and 4 teaching kids from the ages of 5 all the way up to 15/16." So, that is just one of the flaws in your post.
  16. Oh no, a fatal error.
  17. You could be having hard sex with a jobless and/or homeless person who perhaps frequents park benches during both day and night time. Thus, hard bum sex. I don't personally know Martitititinist. For all I know, he could be a bum who lives in a trolley outside Safeways.
  18. That last bit sounds about right. Also, if there was more than one Alien doubling up on the humans, then that would also cause an Alien victory. I think the only way for the Marines to not win is if the humans controlling them just suck at shooting or if there are simply too many Aliens. Screw you, Bitchfuck. I love my Wii. Probably got just as many Wii games as I have Cube games. But, there is more I need to, too. For Both. Its more fun being a Marine if you're working with other people. Same with Aliens, too. But, if you're going solo, then being a Predator is probably the most fun. However, the speed of the Aliens is just unreal. Especially that Alien3 type Alien in AVP2, The Runner.
  19. For AVP3, no way in hell. For Aliens: Colonial Marines, I would be tempted. But, to be honest, I suck at keeping up with one system already plus the DS. Having 2 will be suicide.
  20. Fergie voicing his thoughts: Sometimes, I wish he would be a bit more humble. But then, I think that just adds to his character. He's quite charismatic, much like the Mourinho and I quite like figures like that. Like The Clough. Ferdinand: Hmm, I just think at the moment he's lost some pace. In fact, if you look across our backline, it's not the best for pace, with the exception of Evra. I think Ferdinand needs to spend some time working on his mobility. Vidic too. I really rate Johnny Evans, and Fergie has already said that Evans is going to be Rio's successor, but he's put the performances in to back it up already. I thought he was outstanding for the most part last season when he played. I also remember reading that we conceded our least amount of goals with the Evans-Vidic combo. Barnsley game yesterday: I followed it via the text updates and 606. Rafael in centre-midfield, whaaaaat? But, the main thing is we came out with the win. Hats off to Barnsley though, as by the sounds of things they had a good go at United. Neville also sounds like he was a fool to get himself sent off. I was also pleased to look across at the other scores and seeing Portsmouth nabbing some goals. Hopefully they can replicate that in the league. I like them.
  21. Just a quick question: Does the game still stay fluid when the Aliens are running fast, and stuffsss? There were quite a few games of AVP2 that I played in the past (online) where the Aliens would be on one side of the screen, jump or run and would be on the other side, halfway up the wall. I could never tell if this was a problem purely down to slight lag or delay, or if the animation just wasn't...overly amazing. I know the Aliens are meant to be supremely fast, but I don't think 2 had the balance quite right. It would be good to know if this balanced has been sorted for 3.
  22. Sorry for my lateness again. I've been having waaaay too much fun to listen to Evanescence. In fairness, I actually like the song a lot more than I thought I would. It's quite haunting. That Susan Cadogan song sounds like something that I would hear when I was out somewhere and think "yeaaaah, I could dance to this." Dan-likes-trees, I think this is one of the better rounds so far. Hmm, this is tougher than I thought it would be. Two completely contrasting songs. Hurts So Good, but only just.
  23. It is too lateeee. The Rummy and the Bot of Spam have decreed that The Lost Boys is the way to go for tonight. Rummy also said that Sleeping Beauty made him cry like a little sissy girl the last time he watched eet, when he had the flu. It's true. I read it on de Internets.
  24. Forum, make a decision for us pleeeeease. Do we watch Sleeping Beauty tonight (Ine's entry) or do we watch The Lost Boys (My entry)? Also, today, I went to the Netherlands (not the one where Peter Pan is from) to visit an Art Museum, about Art. The place was very nice, although there was a lot of stuff there that I didn't understand. Not because of the Dutchness, but because it was Abstract Art. Well, not really abstract, but just pointless. Ine says it's not pointless, but when I asked her what this stuff meant, her reply was "errr, well, this stuff doesn't really have a meaning." Ergo, pointless! Ok, maybe it didn't go quite like that. But, I think I need to be an Art enthusiast to have gotten more from this stuff. It was a lot of stuff to take in. But, the Netherlands also looked nice from outside of the car window. There were shops which sold lamps and clothes. One day I will go there and buy lamps and clothes. And beds. There were beds, too.
  25. I'm just waiting for a thread to pop up one of these days where Gaggle and Martinist declare to the world that they've been having hard bum sex, up the arse. Happy Birthday Providings from Me and Eenuhoenuhohohuheeenuhohuh.
