  1. I'd recommend giving Season 1 a re-watch. The advantage that I think Fear has is that it's not bound to anything. The characters don't have to act a certain way because there are no comic counterparts to base them off. The settings are different, the characters are unique and we get to see some different types of locations that wouldn't be possible in the main series. I feel that the main show in season 8 (which was also apparent in season 6 part 2 and season 7) has a definite goal and ending point for that arc, which is the "end of the war". They've spent two and a half seasons fighting said war and there's always been one end-goal in sight. But, there has been so much filler along the way to pad out the show because they knew that the war would end in the finale of season 8. So, the pacing has been really off and there have been so many stupid moments and manufactured storylines over the past 2 seasons that it's killed a lot of the quality of the show. With Fear, I just feel that the pacing has been pretty good, if not better than the main series. The characters talk as if they're actual human beings and the shit that they say and/or do matters. I also feel that the characters are consistent throughout. At the moment, I feel that it is becoming the stronger show.
  2. That Harry Kane tweet has killed me.
  3. I like PS Now. It has worked pretty well on my internet connection and it's allowed me to play through quite a few games that I didn't get to try last generation or the one before, like Ico, Tokyo Jungle, Arkham Asylum, etc. I already stream music through Spotify and I already stream television and films through Netflix...so why not stream videogames? The technology is there and it worked really well when I tried it. The limiting factors for me are the selection of games available and, of course, the cost. It's another thing to pay for. If it could somehow be integrated into PS+, then I'd be delighted. Also, the selection of games needs to grow. I'd like to try original Playstation games and maybe a few more PS2 games, too. I think it'll go down this route. The Microsoft approach is interesting and I like their solution to BC. The issue for me and the reason I won't pick one up, however, is that I've already got a PS4 for the multiplatform games and I don't feel enticed enough by the exclusives to fork out a lot of money on new hardware. There isn't enough there to make me want to ditch the PS4 and it's too expensive to sit alongside it to be used sporadically. With that money, I could just buy a whole lot of other stuff, including more games.
  4. Question: If Liverpool win the Champions League...does Coutinho get a winner's medal?
  5. Roma's twitter account!
  6. Fuuuuuck, can't believe Roma did it! Amazing! Don't think anyone thought this would be anything other than Barcelona going through. I mentioned City's formation earlier on and the more I think about it, the more harm I think it did than good. De Bruyne was basically playing as a centre-back in the second half. That's not where he should be at all. Sane was also horrendous over both legs, so why did they still continue to build the play through his side. Just bizarre decision making. I know City had to try to score lots of goals tonight, but Roma did that without having to resort to insane formations and without putting their player in unfamiliar roles. You have to win the game first and I think it says it all that City didn't even win the game tonight. In a week, they've conceded 8 goals against Liverpool and Man Utd. What's more, they've conceded 5 of those goals from winning positions.
  7. City didn't come out in the second half. That decision to disallow the goal has clearly started a chain of events (no goal, crowd booing the ref at half time, Pep getting angry and being sent to the stands, which has then filtered down to the team), so it was a huge moment in the game. I think if City go into half time 2-0 up, then they'll come out differently in the second half compared to how they did come out.
  8. And Liverpool score. Tie over.
  9. Starting to think that the score will stay the same. City look like they've run out of ideas after Plan A (put everybody up front!) didn't work and the more that time goes on, the more the players will lose belief. Defensively, Liverpool look alright.
  10. Aaahahha, Pep has been sent to the stands. I'm loving this. I want at least 2 red cards in the second half, which shouldn't be too much to ask for considering this ref is giving them away out there. A controversial penalty after a dive by Raheem Sterling, followed by a Salah thunderbolt to break City's hearts. Yes, I'm not asking for much. Send Klopp off, too. SEND THEM ALL OFF!
  11. That's two now. They had one disallowed in the first leg, too.
  12. That City lineup tonight! I don't even know what formation that is! 3-2-4-1? I can't even tell where De Bruyne is playing. I don't think I've ever seen a more attacking lineup. It's like something you'd try in FIFA to take the piss.
  13. I may be wrong, or the sound mixing on my stream might be off, but the atmosphere sounds incredible at the stadium. I may have to eat my words regarding what I said earlier.
  14. Watch the game, maaan. Even if you lose, it's still a hugely important game. It's a bit of history being made right now.
  15. That's handy! I try to do it straight away when I get home, but some days I'm just mentally knackered and wanna just play a game or something. I'd say that you've more than earned the time off, so enjoy it.
  16. Go with how your body feels. I'm expecting a slight hit on my numbers, so we'll see what happens when I train later. Sounds like a good idea! Enjoy your time off. I had a few months off when we moved from our flat into the house. It was expected, but it was also quite nice to use that time for other things. It's quite a big commitment to be consistent with exercise and it does take up a chunk of your week. I remember feeling like there was all of this free time!
  17. Predictions for tonight? Before the Manchester Derby, I would have said that I still think City were still in this tie. But, after seeing how easily they conceded in the second half at the Etihad, I can definitely see Liverpool scoring tonight. I think City will score 3 goals, but Liverpool will also score at least 1, too. So, final score...3-1 to City, but 4-3 to Liverpool on aggregate. I just don't see City stopping Liverpool from scoring tonight. I also think that they'll be a bit frail after the derby defeat and also because of the reverse fixture last week. In addition to all of that, I just don't feel that the Etihad has the same kind of atmosphere or ability to rise to the occasion to pull the players through like stadiums such as Anfield, Old Trafford or the Nou Camp. In those stadiums, the fans really act as an additional influence and drive the players on. We saw what happened last week at Anfield, even before the game. I think City will win the game, but lose the tie overall on aggregate. There will definitely be goals tonight and City have to play for a big win, so I'm expecting lots of attacking football from them.
  18. Got back from 10 days in Italy on Saturday night/Sunday morning and have just done my first cardio since the holiday. Went ok actually. I definitely feel like I've gained weight on the trip, though! Now for that demoralising bit where you have to work for aaaaages to get back to where you were before!
  19. Glad you're enjoying it. It's such a really fun and quirky game. I struggle a little going back to the Dreamcast controller. The single analogue throws me off a bit and it just feels a bit unbalanced.
  20. I hope he signs for you guys now, just so I can seem the meltdown.
  21. Still not convinced that this is going to be anything other than terrible. A story that nobody really wants to hear about. However, I thought the same about Rogue One, and I really enjoyed that. Will definitely wait for impressions from people from here before I even think about seeing it.
  22. Honestly, Fellaini gets a bad deal and more often than not he's just clumsy. He's tall, with a strange frame and he doesn't always seem to have grace when he strides around on the pitch. In a similar way to Peter Crouch, who I guess also has a similar frame to him. This season, we've seen players like Kane and Alli put in bad tackles (the City game, where both should have been sent off) and do all sorts of nasty stuff, but they never get anywhere near as much bad press as Fellaini does because they're media darlings and England's golden boys. He does do some stupid stuff, but I wouldn't say it's just exclusive to him. I remember going to Old Trafford last season to watch our game against Chelsea. Herrera got all the plaudits after the game for man-marking Hazard for the entire 90 minutes, but Fellaini was one of the best players on the field that day. He arrived at Old Trafford to a lot of criticism, but he's won the fans around and has become a sort of cult hero at the club.
