  1. When you become famous, I want some royalties or...something. You probably drum more than I do these days. You're living my dream!
  2. I remember Munch. Laikmosh was very crazy, I loved his hair. I miss The Fruit Returns. I still have Offerman on MSN but haven't made contact for years. I've been tempted to try.
  3. From what I know, he's training with the squad. So, I don't think he's out of the World Cup just yet. He's been selected as part of the 23 man squad. I'm not shocked that Rafa has gone. I find him to be very deceiving. He was found out last season, he scarcely had anything what resembled a plan B when things were going tits up. Saying that, he bought some steadiness to Liverpool (the last year withstanding). The team was hard to beat, and it's great for their fans that he took them to 3 major finals.(apologies if I missed any, but I mean the 2 Champions League Finals and FA Cup Final) But then, that's where lies the problem: Could he ever have won the league with Liverpool? He was a great manager in Europe for Liverpool, but he should have won the league in 08-09. Liverpool played out of their skin that year. During that season, United were very strong defensively, and in some cases the team shyed away from playing expansive or sexy-football and opted for a more clinical game. We won quite a few games 1-0 that season. Liverpool needed to do that last season, they needed to tighten up defensively and just get through the games 1-0. I have never really rated Liverpool defensively at all since Rafa has been there. Pepe, Agger and Mascherano aside. Carragher here and there. As for the World Cup, Franklin will be working on that. It should be a great experience watching the games and then discussing them here. I always go for the home nations, and I'd like to see England do something special. I don't think Britain has had a lot to shout about these last few years, so it would be special if one of the home nations did something special. For a while, it looked like the Republic of Ireland would do something great, but it wasn't meant to be. Wales needs a lot of work, but there's some promising youth coming through. Scotland needs a fair bit of work, too. Although, the media seems intent on destroying the England team's morale, so maybe that isn't meant to be either.
  4. Happy Birthday You Black Magic Maaan.
  5. Haha, June kicks arse. I'm quite excited for E3 this year, more than last year. Good review for the site, TeeDee.
  6. Yeah, I agree there. He's played some great roles over the years. R.I.P. Dennis.
  7. He's been quite good this year. I've laughed a few times. Yeah, the UK just tries to "out-sing" the others. I'd love to see us give a performance like Greece did, or France even. The true winners of the night are the men. Thank you, Armenia.
  8. Did anyone catch the Graham Norton comment about the Iceland lady enjoying peanuts? Me and Ine were in tears. My top five were: Albania Moldova France Greece Denmark With Belgium up there. Also that Armenian singer had fantastic...apricots.
  9. Happy Birthday, Chair. This is the only living creature that smiles as much as you do.
  10. Lucky bugger. That's brilliant. I thought it was a great game. Very enjoyable. Although, I was hoping it would have gone into extra-time, just to make it that bit more exciting. Thought the Champions League Final was a good one. Well done to Inter, although Bayern gave a good account of themselves. Can't believe Cambiasso and Zanetti are not in the Argentina Squad for the World Cup.
  11. Hmm, getting paid to stop smoking is a daft idea. You'll already be saving money from quitting anyway, like Raining says in the original post. Maybe as a society we're far too money-orientated and we just don't care enough about ourselves. Somebody mentioned EMA in the earlier post. I can see (sorta) how its an incentive for somebody, but essentially you're dangling a carrot infront of them, waving cash in their faces. Maybe we should be thinking more about the benefits of stopping smoking, going into college, giving up drinking, etc, rather than just the "ooo, I can get a few extra quid out of it." My brother is a smoker, and he moans so much about it being "impossible" for him to quit. Really, the fact is he just has very little willpower. If somebody told him he could get cash for quitting, I think he would do it in a shot. So, there you go.
  12. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I couldn't have done it without you and this place. I've been looking online at properties in the area. Need to find myself a one-bedroom place. I felt a really ideal one, in terms of location and price. About 9 minutes away from that school, haha. Although, I'm not sure if it's too early to be looking, as I won't need the place until around August. Hmm, need to ask about that. Sorry to hear about your stresses, Raining. Also very sorry to hear about your cat, Eevil. I am sending a hug your way, and an awkward manly hug to you, Eevil. You aren't even in the same Weapon Class as me. You are the knife, and I am the rocket launcherrrr. Sure, you can be in my class. Although you're about...ten years or something too old. Old maaaaan.
  13. Today was a good day. I sent in an application to a school last week, and I was told that I had been shortlisted for interview. Great, I thought. Except that the school is an Independent/Private school, and it had me slightly worried as I thought I wouldn't fit in well there. In the end, I thought ahhh, it'll be a fun adventure, so I'll go and see what comes of it. I get there, and the school was a great place. It's surrounded by a forest, the staff were lovely and they kept bringing me endless supplies of tea. Haha. To top it off, I had to stay in a b'n'b overnight, as the school was quite a way away. Close to Bournemouth. The place was lovely. To give myself some inspiration and belief, I took Rocky with me on dvd, and watched it in my room, the night before my interview. The whole thing went exceptionally well. I had this belief about myself that I don't think I quite had on my other interview. I enjoyed it, and thought I gave a great account of myself. Unfortunately, I was told that I wouldn't hear the result until the end of the week. Got a phone call at lunchtime today. From the tone of the headmaster's voice, I didn't think it would be good news. But then, he offers me the job. As of September, I will be a Year 4 Class Teacher at Moyles Court School. It hasn't sunk in yet, haha. Other people I've talked to have seemed a lot more happier about it than I have. I think I'm just trying to stay calm about it, heh. It's both exciting and daunting at the same time. I'm proud of myself though. I was so close to not going to that interview, because I thought my best would not be good enough. But then, I thought you may as well take a shot at it, and you never know. Plus, I thought it would be a fun experience going there anyway, as I'd never been there before. In another way, I'm also proud at myself for all of this rebuilding work that I've gone through. After the last few years, coming home to Wales and then not finding a job was demoralising. But, today, it feels like the pieces are starting to fall together now. I look at my life and compare it to 3 years ago, and it doesn't seem like the same life. In a way, it's like being born again. Now today, that's given me a huge boost. I guess I feel quite invincible at the moment.
  14. Ine has Zelda pyjamas. They feature this style of Link: I don't know how she pulls it off. There's bound to be hot BeeEssGee fans in the City of Laaandaaan. If not, then, maybe some Hot Toaster Appreciation Society.
  15. Well back, Molly. I would be absolutely thrilled if you could obtain sex in some form. If it's with Mr. Bristol, and you can sneak away in the morning, go for eet. (I joke) I think we should do a R-R-R-Role Reversal for the meet. The men should wear dresses whilst the girls can wear geeky t-shirts with cringeworthy slogans. ReZ can straddle the line in between and can flitter between both groups as he so pleases.
  16. To Ramar William Gallas says: FUCK YEAH on passing your driving test.
  17. Contracts mean nothing now. The purpose of a contract: To stop a player leaving the club on a free. When Adebayor went, I knew Arsenal would find a way forward. Same with when Kolo left. They weren't the "spine" of the team. They were important players, but they didn't hold the team together. Arsenal have done well without Kolo, as Vermaelen has come in and asserted himself well. With Cesc, I think it could impact on how creative Arsenal will be, especially in midfield. I suppose you would say that the team is built around him, and that he would now be called part of the spine. Although, players can be replaced. So, who is going to be in that midfield if he leaves? It's funny, I came home from work and saw the news about Villa going to Barca. Good timing on my part, haha. I doubt he'll move on. Barca won't have spent all that money and then just let the guy leave. He'll be benched, I bet. Villa will be the main man, and Ibra will be told he has to fight for his place. I think part of the reason players want to go to Barcelona is because of the Spanish lifestyle. That's one factor. Also, you're right, Barcelona have achieved a lot, but then that also means that the standard is higher there now. If you win, you are expected to keep winning. So, you have to be somewhat of a strong character to want to go there, knowing that you'll have to work hard if you want to succeed there. That's part of the reason why Valencia has impressed me this season at United, as he has that strong work ethic and he has that winning mentality. Cesc definitely has that, as well. So, it's understandable that he'll want to go to Barcelona. It's the ultimate test for yourself.
  18. You and Liene look very similar in that last picture. Also, I laughed at Nele's boyfriend in that second picture, staring at the camera. He looks like he's modeling that jumper. Also, you look great here. Hot and sophisticated.
  19. Hmm, is Cesc the player that Barcelona really need? I still for the life of me can't figure out why they traded in Eto'o and so much money for Ibra. They could have done with him against Inter. It was also fitting how Eto'o put in a great shift against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. It showed them exactly what they were missing. I like Ibra, but I think Barca will be looking for something else upfront in addition to him. The rumours of Villa going there seem to fit, in my opinion. He should be a success there.
  20. I would buy a Supergirl or Catwoman suit. Then, I'd wear it to work. And then finally, to bed. Also, I would touch my chest repeatedly and marvel at the fact that it is hair-free. I would be in awe from that.
  21. Hahahahahahaha. I like the guy who does the even numbers. He does the "head" thing that Bitchy Girls do. I cracked up on some of that. Plus the ending was class. Haha. Edit: Ok, number 12 is the funniest thing I have ever heard/seen in my whole life.
  22. It is 11:33 and there is no Birthday Thread for GanePark.THIRTYTWO. Happy Birthday, dude. I hope it has been a good day. Kiss kiss. Hug Hug. Grope.
  23. That game had some great moments. That first half was hilarious. I was in stitches for most of it. The Man of the Match should have been the woodwork. Drogba is outstanding. He's got an attitude, one of the few things on Earth that can be seen from outer space. But, he's bluddy good. More importantly, he can score in the big occassions. I remember watching that game thinking that the one thing Portsmouth needed that Chelsea had was a Didier Drogba. Pompey had a few good chances, and had Drogba been playing for the other side, they might have won. But of course, he's a rare thing. I was sad to see Pompey lose, but they should feel so proud. On another day, they would have won this game. I willed them on and went crazy went they had the penalty. But, it wasn't meant to be. Also, was gutted the other day when Forlan scored twice against Fulham. The first thing I said was he never fucking ever did that for us! Bar a special game against Liverpool.
  24. It's funny, because the new Zelda could use a Welsh Cake as a throwing weapon, similar to Ninja Stars, with Link having to rescue Princess Zelda from a Slayer gig, yet we'd all buy it anyway. Whatever they're toying with, Nintendo have proved that they can fiddle with things and get results. There are always exceptions to the rules, of course. But, it'll be good whatever happens.
  25. Haha, he just needed time to adjust to the cold. Ah, sometimes people are not shown in the best light when they're on screen. So, you met him, you have good things to say about him, which equals success.
