Yeah, it's probably the best controller of it's type. The only thing I can think of that hinders it is it's lack of analogue triggers. Aside from that, it's great. My favourite controller is still the Wiimote and Nunchuk, though.

Aside from my LED failure, the controller itself is lovely. The best thing about it...the analogues are in the right bluddy place! It's so light, too.

I said that to Ine during the race. A good set of races, people. I gave Ine the GamePad, so she was teh_jimzor and I was teh_jimzor2. That was hard! It's definitely not like Mario Kart where you can be last approaching the final corner and end up first. I genuinely deserved to finish last in every race.

I did flubit it. Buttt, I've sent the email already saying that it's borked. They've already replied, saying that they'll contact the supplier. They've done that too and they've sent me the email with what I need to do. I need to print off two labels or something, attach it to the box and take it to a collectplus point, which is a newsagents near me. So, not bad. I might hang on to it until Saturday, as I've got a mate who will be coming around, so I'll keep it in case we do play some Sonic racing or something. Or TEKKEEEN. After that, I'll send it back and get it replaced.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. I've bought a Wii U Pro Controller from Amazon. The controller itself is lovely but one of the led lights at the bottom (indicates what player you are) doesn't work. Number 2. Fuck saaaake. I can live with this, but I'm worried that this will lead to further problems with that controller? What do I do? Contact Amazon and send it back for a replacement? Meh.

I'm probably not going to get this on release. It seems like the Wii U went through a long period of having nothing and now it's suddenly "GAMES GAMES GAMES!" everywhere. The Wonderful 101 is going to be fantastic, so I'm leaning towards that. I feel that sales will be hampered now due to its timing. If this had launched a month ago, I would have picked it up already and would be loving it. But, I fear it'll get lost amongst some of the others around this time, such as Pikmin and 101. Part of me also wonders if there will suddenly be too many platformers on this system by the end of the year. New Mario, New Luigi, Rayman, Sonic, Donkey Kong. I will still pick this up, definitely. Might even ask for it as a Christmas present. But, on release, I can only afford to go for either Wonderful 101 or Rayman, and I'm going for 101.

This is quite a complex issue, but I'll start off by saying that I disagree with your opening post, OxyWaste. But, I'll also say that, as humans, we are quite wasteful in terms of resources. On the whole, anyway. Food is scarce in certain parts of the world, yet a significant proportion of the western world is obese or has issues to do with food. The starting part would be looking at what we do need and what we don't need, although this is something that needs to be done on a much grander scale. I'm not saying let's forget about chocolate, for example. :p It's a luxury and we should still be entitled to luxuries. We're only going to live on this planet once, so we should enjoy it, but we should be taking more care of ourselves. So, what I'm saying is that we should be looking at the quantity of food and resources that we are using. That's a start. I don't really think stopping families from having more than one child is going to solve anything. Siblings are quite important, in many respects. They can help the social development of individuals and it promotes lots of other skills, such as being able to communicate with each other, being able to work with each other, and so on. I'm sure that there is something out there, some piece of research that would say that having siblings encourages you or others to share, as opposed to if you were an only-child. Sharing. Isn't that kind of the whole point of why we are here as humans, to help each other out and to share our resources, experiences and ideas?

We'll take a look, but as we used some nectar points at the time to reduce the cost of it, it's skewed the statements in the sense that it doesn't stand out on the bank statements. If it was a £100 shopping bill that week, we'd know it was that one. So, from memory, it'll be difficult to place when we bought it exactly. I did contemplate doing what you suggested. Is that a dick move, do you think? Could I get caught out doing that as the serial number on the old kettle will be different to the new one?

I've had that problem recently. Thankfully, it's been better for the last few nights. Think about what you're doing about 3 hours before sleep and look at what might be keeping you up. I'm pissed off because my kettle, a lovely red Morphy Richards one that we bought less than 3 months ago) has stopped working. I've read up online that maybe de-scaling it will help. I've done that, the inside of the kettle looks amazing, but the fucker still won't work. The light comes on to let us know that it is switched on, but nothing. So fucking annoyed. To make matters worse, we can't find the receipt for it. No excuse though, it's a product that has been working for months, yet now decides that it doesn't want to. You expect better from that brand.

I was curious about how that would work. I'm glad that somebody tried eet out. So, you used the GamePad screen as the main screen and used the sensor bar on the TV to direct the WiiMote. Did it feel jarring at all having to point at the tv but look at another screen?

Yeah, it's instances like that where Flubit have dun goof'd. Beforehand, I put in a demand for them to beat WOWHD's price and got my offer back at 27 quid. Stupidly, I declined, because I was certain that I could get a better price. A few days later, they did the whole amazon bullshit thing. If Amazon are already the lowest price, then it's a good service. But, what would be even better is if you could say Amazon are charging this, ShopTo are charging this, beat both pleeeeeease.

I would imagine that they don't do it during the summer so that the players can get a break and go off with their teams for pre-season/travelling, etc. As it's so close to the start of the season, most teams have finished the majority of their pre-seasons "stuff" so will be getting ready for that first game. I can see the sense, but it should have been a week earlier, imo.
