Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Totally disagree. That 2% you're referring to would the hardcore Nintendo fans, the ones that would organise racing tournaments, spend money on downloadable content if it were available and pump hundreds of hours into the game. They would also be the ones nailed on to buy the next console, the next iteration of the game, take more of an interest in some of Nintendo's other niche titles. It would actually do a lot for their online presence and building communities if they allowed others to create and share their tracks. The hardcore fans/the ones who spend hundreds of hours on these games would do that. In a way, it would self-market the game and would draw the attention of those who haven't purchased it yet if they heard about these sorts of features on the likes of Miiverse, messaging boards, etc. It would do a lot of good. Either way, what is the current option that is available to the fans? Play with the same 16/32 tracks for an entire generation. I played maybe 20 hours on Mario Kart Wii and never went back onto it again. The game wasn't great to begin with, but the actual selection of options was also poor. More options + more things to do = more depth. Better value for the fan. Compare this to Super Smash Bros. Brawl which is absolutely packed full of content and things to do. Edit: Not sure what I'm thinking with 20 hours of Mario Kart Wii. It was probably a quarter of that. If that.

Yes, of course you'll get badly constructed tracks. However, that is part of the creative process. Not every track Nintendo creates is 10/10 gold either. I loathed TimeSplitters 2 as a game (it wasn't a patch on the likes of Goldeneye or Perfect Dark, which I was into at the time), but what I kept going back for was the map creator. I spent hours on that thing and testing them was a great deal of fun. Even the bad ones I designed were still fun to use. It's awesome being able to construct something and then give it to other people for them to use. That's why Nintendo went into games into the first place, is it not? The Nintendo constructed tracks will always be there anyway. Everybody has access to those, so the vast majority of people will be play these tracks first and foremost. The track editors are something for those people who want to go the extra mile. They're the ones who have already spent 40+ hours on the game anyway.
-
The problem is that you can never think of a track editor as something that is there to replace the already existing tracks. They're created by Nintendo, they're already there and will always exist as part of the game. Everybody has access to these tracks. A track editor serves as a supplement to the game. For example, if @RedShell created a map/level, he could then share that with his friends. It would be available for us to use, unless there was a way to get even greater coverage, such as uploading to a place where the wider community could see it/the rest of the Internet. It's for the fans, and it doesn't detract anything from Nintendo's own tracks. It supplements it and it in fact brings people closer together. What if you could upload your tracks and show them on Miiverse. You could get a discussion going and people would be able to comment on them, suggest improvements, etc. Nintendo's own tracks have tons of charm, but to not acknowledge that the fans themselves are creative is ridiculous. I'd even go as far to argue that Nintendo's own fans give Nintendo a run for their money at times with the amount of web comics, fan-fiction, parodies, songs, youtube videos, t-shirts and other created content that they have made themselves. What I'd also like to see is Nintendo offer some DLC for this game. It's very likely based on history that there will only be one Mario Kart for this generation (one for the SNES, one for the N64, one for the Cube, Wii, DS, 3DS), so it makes sense to actually offer fans a chance to keep playing this game and find new things through more tracks and layouts. Downloadable tracks. I'm sure the fans wouldn't mind paying a few quid either, if the quality was great.

On a side note, it was a pretty decent save from OxCham. England's number two, maybe?

60% of the time I'm right, everytime.

He's about the same age...so he could very well be.

Just read this piece on the BBC website about Arsene Wenger. The guy is a class act, for sure. I've enjoyed the rivalry with Arsenal over the years and a lot of that is down to him. Edit: Fuuuuck meeeee. 3-0 to Chelsea already and Arsenal have the wrong player sent off. Can't believe it, it's one of the strangest games I've ever seen. Fuck, ref sent off the wrong player...they'll be talking about this for days. Maybe longer.

It'll be a character or track. There's probably not a great deal else that they can reveal otherwise. Other than maybe some sort of feature we're expecting anyway (i.e, 5 player multiplayer ala Sonic Transformed)

Xpert 11 Season 30: The End of History, The Era of One Champion
Fierce_LiNk replied to Haden's topic in General Chit Chat
Bollocks, didn't set tactics/formation. Busy week/cape Friday caught up with me. Well played, Roger. That's first place blown then. Gah. -
Fuck YES. Today, I got to wear a cape. Basically, we have a house system in school where everybody (teachers, cleaners, pupils, bus drivers, everyone) belongs to one of three houses. I'm in Linford (blue) and one of my good friends is in Dockens (yellow). Today was "House Colour's Day", so you have to wear something featuring the colour of your house. I had decided a few months back that I wanted a cape. Just because. I'm the junior school leader of my house, so you have to put in a bit of an extra effort.

One or two Pikmin games for each home console would be good. 10 years was too long, but they also originally planned to do Pikmin 3 for the Wii before moving it back to the Wii U. So, the wait wouldn't have been as bad, although still a bit too long. It was worth it though, great game. Hope they manage to bring another one out within the next few years. Would be surprised if they don't.

Two things stop that controller from being hnnnggggggg. 1. Move the analogues to the Pro Controller position for great justice. 2. Needs to be wireless.

It's a difficult one, this one. Whilst I'm happy for a fellow brah to get a hold of the game (it's the greatest of all time, obviously), I do see the other argument over it being a bit unfair on people who are trying to get the game but find that it's gone. I've had too many experiences in the past where concert/gig tickets that I've wanted have been sold out, but you pop onto ebay and find that dozens or so are up there by people who want to make a hefty profit. In that sense, it's a bit of a dick move. What you should do is clone yourself, enough of you to enjoy all four copies of the game. That way, you will bring more happiness to the world. The game is amazing.

A Pikmin released every year would get old and stale very, very quickly. It would lose it's charm. Plus, it hasn't got the mass appeal or the easy pick-up-and-play aspect for that. I would looove it if Nintendo brought back NBA Courtside or the 1080 series. Or even their own football game. Gimmmeeee.

Fuck me, that was intense. We rode our luck during a few moments, and De Gea saved our arses with that amazing double save in the first half. But...get the fuck in there! As much as I moan or have moaned about things this season, I have thought about nothing else today aside from this game. Proper butterflies and all that. As soon as the penalty was given and Van Persie put it into the net, I thought we could get something from the game. The second goal was great play between him and Rooney. Great hat-trick goal, too. If anything, for Moyes' sake, he's won a big game here and needed to do something when the chips were down. They played for him tonight and gave some great performances. Giggs, Rooney and Van Persie looked good. They were all due big performances.

I loathe The Incredibles. Really don't like it. :p I can't even explain why...it just didn't work for me. The first Cars was decent. Nothing special, but I was expecting it to be absolute carp. Was surprised when it wasn't. Watched Trance and The Prestige for the first time t'other day. I feel like I need to watch Trance again. It felt like a 7/10 film to me, perhaps tried to be a bit too clever for its own good? Still liked it. The Prestige, though...woodwatchagain/10.

This game is going to be hnngggggggg. An example of when Nintendo get it right. Although, I'm worried that it'll feel barebones in terms of content. I would love a Mario Kart that had all the detail and extras of Smash Bros Brawl or F Zero GX, all the extra modes, collectables, missions, etc. Just more stuff to do.

That sounds like the best thing evvvaaaar. Fuck, why isn't there something like that here?

We've hit the bottom. I can't actually see us beating anyone at the moment, given how we create a shockingly small amount of chances. It's sad, but years ago we'd have eased through this tie. Yes, the players have to share some of the blame, but they had unwavering belief in the manager. When we were 1-0 down in a game under Fergie, we still knew that there was a good chance of finishing on top and winning the game. Now, we go 1-0 down and the heads drop and nobody knows what to do. As a motivator, Moyes has been very poor. Considering that he's "tried to make us hard to beat", I'm shocked at just how easily we've been carved open by pretty much everyone. Just what goes on during training? What do they do? I don't understand the tactics, since when have United been about long-balls and punts up the pitch? The defending is dire. As for tonight, I'm not even sure we'll win the match, let alone the tie. We will concede, because it's just far too easy to score against us. Could see us drawing 1-1 or even winning 2-1 (somehow) and going out. Either way, if you can't get the team motivated for the home game against Liverpool, you can't get them motivated for any game. That's the one I think that has killed off a lot of support for the man. It's come to a point now where if he doesn't change what he's doing (because it isn't working), then he'll lose what's left of the support that he has...including the board. Anyway, we're playing, so I want us to win. I hope we do batter them tonight and it'll be the start of something better. Hopefully. Come the fuck onnnn.

I understand your point, but I'm not really a fan of this "league system". If she agreed to go out with him, then she can't be out of his league...because if she was, she'd have simply said no to him when he asked her for a date. As for clothes personality and shtuff: Why hide your personality from somebody? They're going to find out more about you later anyway if the date was successful and they go for another one. If anything, by not showing them your personality, you're doing yourself a disservice by not revealing the real you and I guess you're also giving them a false illusion about yourself. I don't really believe in the idea of changing yourself to suit somebody else. You're just faking it then, and it might work well in the short-term/for a single date, but it won't be better in the long-run. If you are in it for the short-term (a one-off date, one-night-stand, etc), then I guess it could work. Different things work for different people. As for clothes: You need to use a bit of common sense in this area. The clothes, shoes, etc will matter, but I think they'll just as much be paying attention to your personal hygiene, having your hair done nicely, wearing a good aftershave/smell and so on. For clothes, you want to wear something that shows "you". In the past, I've normally worn a casual shirt (not going full-blown suit or proper shirt and tie unless it's a reaaally fancy restaurant and the woman is Scarlett Johanssen...) and that has worked out fine for me. It depends what it is that you're doing. If it's *ahem* a picnic under the stars in London, then you can probably get away with being a bit more casual. Plus, wearing certain clothes can make the date a bit formal at times, and it might not put the other person at ease. You want them to feel relaxed so you can get to know them, have a good time, laugh at their jokes, hoo hoo, haar haar, etc. But, like I said, the other stuff (face, hair, smell, manners) are just as important and make up the whole package. First looks count and unless you're extremely fucking unlucky and she/he/it turns around and leaves at the first sight of you, then they're going to be with you for a short amount of time anyway. That's when the rest of "you" comes into play. Letting them talk, good manners, being you, etc.

This picture would imply that Moyes has the capacity for emotion. Somebody on the RedCafe posted this photo. Followed by comments along the line of: "*sigh* He can't even get his finger up!", "Even Rodgers even points with more conviction!", etc.

That's the part that makes me sad. Well done. This feels worse to me than the 4-1 against Liverpool and the 6-1 against City, and we definitely played worse today than in those games. Against City, it was never a 6-1 game and we conceded three goals at the end when we over-committed. The sending off in the 4-1 game helped things along, but we played better than, too. We were shite at every stage. 0-0,1-0, 2-0 and 3-0. I'm amazed that a team with RVP, Rooney, Mata and Januzaj can't create anything. Some of the build-up play is fucking bizarre to watch. It just doesn't work. We've progressively got worse as the season has gone on. Can't believe it.

Check your PMs now. Oh my god, we are terrible. 2-0. Rafael should be off. We can't supply the ball to the strikers and we can't create.
