My love graph for this game is quite funny. Thursday night, playing it after Alien Isolation: "am tired, game seems nice, sleep pls." Friday night after a loooong day/week at work: "am still tired, game seems nicer, looks pretty, sleep." Saturday morning/noon after a loooong night's sleep and much needed rest: "Whut, it's beautiful, fuarkkk." The game controls really well, imo. I struggled at first and kept hitting EVERYTHING. Being a mainly Nintendo gamer in the past and being a Mario Kart fan, I never really used the brake button much. Just hammer the accelerator, fire some shells, win 60% of the time everytime. There is a definite learning curve for this game. It almost forces you to be a perfect driver and to not over-steer on the corners or collide with other vehicles. Sometimes it is unavoidable to hit another vehicle, but the penalty is minor, imo. I guess the idea behind that is to promote the actual driving, learning of the corners and layouts, rather than purposefully being a dick to others and bashing them out of the way. Possibly? Either way, I'm a big fan of it. I've spent most of my day on it and am level 15 atm. One thing that I am in absolute awe of is the time cycle, being able to start off a level in the dark and it being light when the race is over, or vice versa. It's beautiful. Give me my weatherrrrrr.

I'd say that it's rare, but it's been particularly bad for the past month. I wonder if the new update will fix a few things...I fucking hope so! Although, for the most part, I've not had much affecting me. Except for Drive Club not accessing being able to access the server.

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion

Why? The only embarrassing thing about it is the fact that it's not coming to the WiiU. The game itself is great. I'm really enjoying it. -
Gamecube Controller Adapter compatible with... Bugger all.

True, it's good that they've allowed GC support for the legacy side of it. But, where's the evolution? Surely you'd think that the Pro Controller would be the natural step up for many gamers who used the GC controller in the past. To me, it almost sends out the wrong message because they're (in a way) saying that they have made the Wiimote, nunchuk, classic controller, classic controller pro, pro controller, GamePad, balance board and yet...they kinda had it right all those years ago with the GC controller. Just seems a bit strange to me to go backwards and use a controller from two generations ago when there is already a decent controller there with the Pro Controller. But yeah, I can also see why many who had Melee would want to use the GC controller...especially after some probably skipped the Wiimote and Nunchuk combo on Brawl. I have to admit, I found that game pretty cumbersome to enjoy using that set up. -
Glad to see that you're enjoying it. It's probably one of my favourite games of the past few years. I look back on my experience with it fondly. Be sure to play Left Behind, too! (aw fuck, maneee) About the immersion breaking thing that you talked about: Yeah, I agree that it would have been awesome had the characters stayed out of view, not talked, etc. However, I can also imagine many game-breaking moments where Ellie wouldn't move when you wanted her too or if she was caught in some sort of stupid way (like running into a wall or something), thus meaning you would need to redo the section again. On the whole, I think it was done in the right way. However, I'd love to see this game again in 2 or 3 generations time where the AI has improved and can do those sorts of things that we want it to do. Not sure we're there yet.

Maybe Titanic 2 is a survival horror. Could be a "The Abyss" type of science fiction film where there's a mysterious creature under the water. Jack's body had to go somewhere under the water. I'm looking forward to the prequel: Titanic Rising.

I'm going to attempt to make my pro today and then hopefully I'll be able to get online more in the next few weeks. Half term next Friday! I played Fifa 14 last week with some of the teenagers at my school when on boarding/evening duty. We did the same yesterday with Fifa15, which somebody had managed to buy during the week. There's a clear difference between the two, even considering that we were playing on a 360. The pace is just so much quicker on 15 and the game seemed more responsive than it had done in the previous week. Had an immense game yesterday where I was 3-0 down at half time, but managed to claw the game back to 3-3 in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, the final score finished 6-4 to them and there were one or two disputable goals along the way. We had a small crowd watching us and every tackle, chance or decision got a massive roar.

I tried this for about 30 minutes last night and gave it a much proper going over today. It's excellent. I'm really enjoying it and am finding it quite addictive.

I made a big balls up yesterday. Basically, I did quite a bit of progress in the game and there was a loading screen after I got to a transit thing that took me to the next section of the map. When getting there, my tracker was going off like crazy and I quickly realised that the Alien was actually above me somewhere. So, me being the curious person that I am, I decided to hit something with my melee weapon/door opening thing/maintenance jack. There was a fucking horrrrible sound and the Alien jumped out of the vent and annihilated me. The worst thing of all? I then realised that my progress hadn't saved and I had to redo the last half an hour. It was pretty vicious. That one little moment made me realise how powerful the Alien was. I'm glad to have this feeling again, especially after the AvP films and the bad game/s.

I've barely done anything in this game. But...fuuuuuark.

u fuckin w0t m8s?! I'll be making my pro this weekend, then. Maybe even tomorrow night. What do I need to do exactly and how do I join the N-E team? As for position, I think I'm going to put myself down as a centre-back (with BRAHKON alongside me) unless I should go defensive mid? League will start soon. We're getting enough people with the game now. It's great.

Gamecube Controller Adapter compatible with... Bugger all.
Fierce_LiNk replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I dunno, I think it's best to go in with low expectations on this sort of thing. It was confirmed to be used in Smash Bros, so everything else/anything else is a bonus. Plus, do we really need ANOTHER method of control for the WiiU? There's too many as it is. In fact, I don't even think that they should have gone back to the GameCube controller at all...isn't that more or less admitting that they had things right generations ago? -
I've been playing this game yesterday night and this evening. Fuaaaaaark. Am loving the build-up and things have just started to get interesting.

I've been mega busy with work and want to start going online with this game but am struggling for time. Nevertheless, I've got my defender ready and am playing the career mode with this game to try and get used to him and his ways. This weekend, I will be ready for action!

My copy is on the way. I'm really nervous. Really wish it was here tonight, as I know that the wait tomorrow (and potentially the next day) is going to be torture.

That was a good game against Everton. I wouldn't have begrudged them a point because I thought they played well in the second half. David De Gea was immense and made at least three world class saves. He won us those points. It would have been a shame had he conceded a second because he deserved to be on the winning team. Happy to see Falcao score. Di Maria...I would turn full gay for him. I thought Blind had a great game, although I do think we look much, much stronger when somebody like Herrera is alongside him. The only downside for me is that we sat back too deep in the last 15 minutes when we should have controlled the game more. If that was against City or Chelsea, I think they would have scored.

There was a time when I was interested in the 3DS version. But, the more I think of it, the more I think that it'll just detract from the WiiU version for me. We'll get that, play it in local multiplayer most likely and enjoy that. Might have the occasional online game, but it'll mainly be local. Didn't enjoy the online on Brawl.

I'm in a similar situation. I've ordered Alien and Drive Club. Excited for both. I'm still playing FIFA and Destiny. Need to complete Watch Dogs. Got given Injustice as a gift (cheers @Ashley) and am enjoying that again. Need to finish the PS+ plus games, of which there are plenty. Half term is going to be a blast. Can't wait. I think I'm not going to buy any more games this year now, this is it. Going to be smart and clear this lot before I go for moar.

I'm trying for tickets as we speak. As amazing as the festival is, the ticket booking process is horrible. It's probably designed by Nintendo due to how infuriating it is.

- PS+ Plus edition for about £35. - £35 from TheGameCollection. Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng

I've preordered the PS+ digital edition of this game. Can't wait. 35 quid for a full digital game is a bit of a steal really. Ahhhhhhhh, hope I don't regret it. I want to say "wow".

I'm envious of you guys. I've been so busy with work this week, it's been unreal. I won't be playing this weekend as I'm off to see the Mum. Am so tired of work this week that I could cry...all I've wanted to do is play FIFA. Feelsbadman

So...so...the game is good? It's good, right? This is good, yes? Oh my god. I think I'm about to die. A GOOD Alien game? Right? RIIIIGHT? SOMEBODY REASSURE ME.
