  1. ahhh it all makes sense.
  2. you get bbc northern ireland in the south...? Interesting..
  3. when has fashion ever been about practicality? No need to be so nasty just because you don't like it.
  4. That's what the freezers for, you can keep mince in it for 3-4 months! :P
  5. :O oh noooooo! I'm just an angry angry person when it comes to people just having to prove themselves (more) intelligent, when it could have been left well alone. anyhooooo. its friday! happy happy! I had an omelette and it was nom! red peppers, baby sweetcorn, ham, red onion, mushrooms and a little cheese. (and don't forget the egg!) Oh yes. Was gooooood. also very weird; had a phone call today about a patient with an ANKLE replacement... sure knees, hips, common as hell... but ankle?! that's just crazy talk. First time i've seen it in 4 years!
  6. I didn't say that I was referencing water. Scum is just a representation of what they see us as. And no, you should know by now that I don't get jokes. /anti-spelling-grammar-nazi
  7. but that was a bit nasty what kim said, i did feel a bit sad for him then. Even if he is annoying :P
  8. I felt sorry for sabrina when they were all talking about having massive bewbs. Must have felt a bit awkward for her. (but shes still the most gorgeous BY FAR imo) If people keep putting katie up for the bush tucker trials she is going to have a breakdown hahah. Love how Kim just steaaamrolled katie, hilarity
  9. You have to be careful with leaving HDDs on all the time cause they heat up a LOT. Not only does it wear out the hdd, its a fire hazard. But yeah, nas all the way. They are a tad on the expensive side mind. p.s has to be a nas to connect to a router - a normal hd wont connect without some sort of card/adaptor, which again aren't cheap edit: just another point: i had an external drive which I wanted to use over a network. I bought a (cheap-ish) print server kind of thing, and it uses software to access the files. Its horrendously slow (and crashes vista) so i would advise against it completely.
  10. Agreed, too many nice things like mince pies and cake and sweeeeeeeeets
  11. @ine: you are probably right on the nail, I struggle with snacking cause its my achilles heel. I mean, I'm not eating nothing, I have porridge and rice and things for my breakfast/lunch, try to give myself some energies. My body isn't used to a huge amount of food (especially during the first half of the day) I've got several medical circumstances that mean eating isn't always so easy (chemotherapy side effects, erratic blood sugars, cluster migraines) I recognise that its a problem. I haven't misunderstood anything. I've just got a few underlying factors and health issues that need to be ironed out. the weightwatchers points goes from 16 to 40, and I don't have a notion how people manage to fit 40 points in a day when I'm struggling with 28 :P
  12. cause your body goes into panic mode and stores fat even more if you don't eat properly
  13. Yeah you need to look at distances or your eyes get extremely tired because of the focusing and constant movement. H&S suggests once every 20 minutes, go out for a minute and look 20m+ away from you, out of a window or whatever. 20 minutes, 20 seconds, 20 meters.
  14. I know what you mean about the grinding away your soul :P but the ones at the top find plenty of security, just the scum at the bottom that are left to rot. We do all the shitting work and get fuck all in return. ¬_¬
  15. *weightwatchers high five!!* Good on you, its nice when men join! Do you go to the men only class or brave enough to attend the mixed? :P I went back Tuesday before last, the scales said "put on more than half a stone since last visit" and the rest!! Yesterday I had lost 6 lbs! But I'm finding it seriously tough going. I have like 28 points to eat every day. I have a small breakfast and lunch (usually 4ish each) then I have like 20 point to eat at dinner.. I hate snacking when I diet because then I'm thinking about food nearly constantly all day, which makes it very tempting/difficult. URGHHHHHH so I get home from work with 20 points left (say an average 6/7/8max points for a healthy dinner...) and i basically gotta eat 3 dinners. Fuck. So I end up eating high kcal stuff just to use up the points.
  16. Aw that sucks mollster. Hopefully if worse comes to worse you get a nice severance package. I'm not in a permanent job so I'm entitled to squat all (afaik - even if i was i know I wouldn't get anything). Temporary job for 4&1/2 years... But apparently its working down the levels, bosses job is being advertised "sooner rather than later" so we should be next (gotta reapply for the perm position, bloody load of shit) and I've gotta go to an occupational health appointment tomorrow because of my arthritic wrists/cluster headaches. It's their fucking fault that I have cluster headaches.
  17. How can anyone think that games are good for your eyesight?! moving your eyes quickly and frequently (much like typing in an office) is very bad for your eyesight, tires your eyes and the unnatural light at obscene hours (we all know you do it) is very bad for your bodies time rhythm/body clock. reflex improvement can be practised in other ways than games and the biggie - RSI. I'm not an anti gamer - I'm just not kidding myself that its not good for our bodies at all.
  18. get me outta here! Watching? Thoughts? I hate how Katie price is back! Just fuck off back to the hole you came frooom. She's ugly and annoys me. How come they are stopping certain people from doing stuff on "medical" circumstances?! They shouldn't be designing stuff that people are excluded from! Hows that fair?
  19. I wouldn't think victoria beckham is smaller than an american size zero - its not possible wiki says size zero is 22inches @ waist o_O
  20. comparatively I agree with both your side and mine, of course there are both sides to the opinion and neither is really more right. A lot of people see cars, like you do, as something to be looked at in awe. Some, like me, just see it as functional. Sure I'd love to own a Bugatti Veyron, but i'm not made of money my car is rotten with rubbish and grit and crap that seems to kick up at around this time of the year (not to mention all the flooding that's been happening) I think the sides of my car could do with a t-cut but that is extreme elbow grease :P
  21. well what you see as beautiful I see as hideous. And what you see as ugly/boring I think is pretty nice. Neither of us are right, so there's no point in arguing based on opinions. I wouldn't buy an old car with 50k+ miles on it. I know people that have and have had to pay more than the car is worth to fix it when it breaks down. my dad bought his focus 1.5 (I think its 1.5) which does about 50 miles to the gallon, added onto the fact its new and he's saving on mot monies. p.s 1990 is not relatively modern in terms of cars :P
  22. What's wrong with a Focus? For a lot of people a car has a purpose, and needs to be cost effective. A Focus can do 55miles to the gallon + Only going to the petrol station once every month is sweeet. :P (ie yay for new cars)
  23. Do people here actually get the recommended 7.5-8 hours a night? I thought most of the people on here had terrible sleeping patterns :P
