  5. OK here goes... 1) Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not This is without doubt my album of the year. Say what you want about them being over-hyped and stuff, but I was addicted - ADDICTED - to this album at the start of the year. Even now I get a surge of energy and an overwhelming desire to sing along. One of my favourite gigs ever was when they played the Academy in Manchester in February. It was the first time I saw them and I went into work the next day sounding like Marge Simpson. Standout songs: Dancing Shoes, A Certain Romance, From The Ritz To The Rubble, When The Sun Goes Down 2) Hot Chip - The Warning I'm a bit impartial to a bit of bleepy-funky electro music every now and again, and this album fills that type of music perfectly. Every song on here is worth a tapped foot and songs like Over And Over make you just wanna jump about like a loon. Standout songs: Over & Over, A Boy From School, The Warning 3) Thom Yorke - The Eraser At first listen, I didn't this too much of this album. Even the massive Radiohead fan I am couldn't grasp it. But, like all Radiohead albums, the genius behind each album comes through repeated listens. I love the way this album's quite poppy in places, but also has that dark tone to it. This has definitely kept my mind off wanting a new Radiohead album for another year anyway! Standout songs: Analyse, And It Rained All Night, Skip Divided, Black Swan 4) The Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics Another album that takes a few listens. But again, totally worth it. One thing that should be stamped on all Flaming Lips albums is a 'Guaranteed To Make You So Fecking Happy' label. I saw them live twice this year, both times just being the most uplifting, involving gigs I've ever been to. Superb. Standout songs: The W.A.N.D., The Sound Of Failure, It Overtakes Me (I'll edit this post later with the rest of my 10. :P)
  6. Hey! Hope you enjoy yourself here.
  7. Well spotted that man! My black PSP is for *cough*homebrew*cough* and my white one is for normal games. Though I hardly go on it anymore since I got my DS Lite! Probably cos I've posted it, well, more than once in the past... But I'm kinda happy that it's so recognisable! Almost like it has character! :p
  8. I know I don't frequent these forums as much as I have done, but please add mine! 5374 3062 8127 9457
  9. gameplay.com delivered theirs on the day the 360 was meant to come out, Friday 2nd December. I'm assuming they'll be the same with the Wii.
  10. There's my attempt! It's not turned out as well as the Australian flag, as there isn't as much detail in the Irish one.... hope it's ok anyway.
  11. My guitar: A Squier strat. I'd really like to upgrade soon, I really would... :P My bass: Rickenbacker 4003. Which I love as much as it's humanly possible to love a chunk of wood! My bass amp: Hartke VX3500. It's 350W, so if you stand next to it at full volume, it could rip a young child's face off. Obligatory band picture: My band (well, half of it...) onstage at the Academy in Manchester a couple of months ago.
  12. Frosties - They're great. I mean, how much imagination did that take in the board room? "We need a new slogan... We need something to describe our product!" "Well, they're great?" "That's the one! You're a genius!!!1 LOLZ!" Also, the 'They're gonna taste great' kid really needs to headbutt my fist...
  13. Just want to thank everyone for their positive comments! I'm off work tomorrow, so I'll have a go at another couple.
  14. As requested: First pic: Second pic: Third pic: I'm really putting a strain on Imageshack's servers and people's monitors tonight! Yeah, that's what these pictures are from.
  15. Thank you very much for your comments, people!
  16. Thank you very much! Honestly though, if I can do it then I think anyone can. The book's called 'Photoshop CS2 Essential Skills' by Mark Galer and Philip Andrews. Not wanting to sound like I'm advertising, but I highly recommend it!
  17. So I got a book on Photoshop so I could get to grips with my not-at-all-dodgy-pirated-version-Officer version of CS2. I just wanted somewhere to show my results! Bearing in mind I had no clue how to use Photoshop this time yesterday, I don't think they're too bad!
  18. Coolness, Black Swan's probably my favourite track off The Eraser. Though I know that's gonna change everyday.
  19. The best synths are without doubt Moog synths. But they're a bit pricey...
  20. Can you say holy frick yes? http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/psp/roll-back-your-psp-to-its-15-glory-184829.php And it works too! My black PSP is now for emulation, my White one is for normal PSP-ness!
  21. The version you have is in high quality, but, alas in mono too... I'm highly anticipating a stereo version of Map Of The Problematique!
  22. Yeah, it's mono, but hey, I'm gonna buy it on July 3rd anyway. It'll tide me over til then.
  23. Just 'obtained' the album and LOVING IT!
