  1. Abso-cocking-lutely love this game online! Every game I've had so far's been pretty evenly matched too, with the game completely open to anybody winning up until the last few seconds.
  2. Ok, I've just finished the fight on normal difficulty. And it's much better than Halo 2! It's hard not to give my thoughts on it without spoiling anything, but the last 'chapter' of the game is one of the most epic moments in gaming I've ever played. I was holding my controller aloft, trying not to cheer out loud when I finally completed it! It's that good.
  3. It's £39.97 at Tesco Why aren't I? On the 8th Level now.
  4. Yaaaay! Got myself a copy early. Gotta love working on the games section of Tesco!
  5. I held an official, retail copy in my hot little hands today! Ok, I work on the entertainment bit in Tesco, so I guess I'm supposed to look at stuff a few days before they come out. I don't know if all Tesco stores have get their Halo 3 stock, but it might be worth a try to ask some dopey looking member of staff (not hard, really) to get one out of the warehouse for you...
  6. Not entirely true as you can still use your standard MP3 files on an iPod. And if you really can't stand iTunes, I'm sure I've seen plugins for WMP and Winamp to allow for files to be transferred to iPods.
  7. It's not that you can see the fingerprints on the black one as such, but you can see the moisture of peoples hands where they've been holding it.
  8. I got these yesterday: 160GB version. Was teetering on getting the 80GB version, but the value's far greater in the 160GB version. I'm off to Rome on Friday, needed to get some of their currency! Gotta love that Chicken Teriyaki tastyness!
  9. I splurged out on a 160GB iPod Classic at the Apple Store in Manchester Arndale before. I was hovering on getting the 80GB version, but this iPod has got to last me a good while and they only had the 80GB in black, which was already showing everybody's grubby fingerprints. Just taken some pics whilst syncing up my library: (My camera is terrible at taking indoor shots at night without flash) I still look at the back and think the capacity of the iPod is just plain stupid. But I cocking love it! I've only had a go using my girlfriend's music library up to now, which has got some seriously questionable music on it (S Club Juniors, anyone?) but from what I've seen, the cover flow lag is seriously exaggerated on the internet. It does take a couple of seconds to catch up if you're flying through albums, but nothing that's going to annoy you too much. It works quite smoothly too, and it is responsive. Really enjoy the new UI too, it's about time the iPod had it refreshed. The new 'Now Playing' screen looks cool!
  10. 0181 811 8181 *sigh*..... That is all!
  11. This is fantastic news! Now they need to bring Fuse bars back. Those were the shit!
  12. I don't know if I'm a sucker or not. The features of it are so useful though. And this necklace for my girlfriend's birthday. Proper diamonds in that.
  13. Well, I say 'purchased'....
  14. It was part of the last promotion the had on, but as I work on the entertainment bit there, I found it in the warehouse whilst looking through trays of old stock, so I doubt you'll find it there now. But I was in HMV before and they also had it for £5. They also have it for £4.99 on their site: http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=594350
  15. Well, it goes nicely with the HD-DVD version, I suppose.... Also in the past couple of weeks: £5 in Tesco! (£4.50 with discount) £7 in Tesco! (£6.30 with discount)
  16. The only problem I've had is I bought Ridge Racer 7 and when I received it, the box and manual were in Japanese, even though there was no mention of it on the site. Still, the game's in 100% English, that's the main thing.
  17. I'VE TOUCHED THE BOOK I'VE TOUCHED THE BOOK!! Ok, I've calmed down. We got the books in work today, it was rather good walking in to see a shitload of Harry Potter books on a pallet. But yeah, I was allowed to look at the book as long as I didn't open it. Those mean bastards.
  18. The PS3 sounds like fairies, skipping gaily amongst the daisies, gently whirring with pleasure every now and again. The 360, in comparison, sounds like getting your face ripped off with a jet engine. Also, I'm really really liking this PS3 uprising. I've been on Ninja Gaiden Sigma this weekend, and I'm enjoying it much more than on the Xbox, where I thought it was just an unbelievably difficult game. But this time round, thanks to the Ninja Dog difficulty, I'm having an incredible amount of fun on it. And it looks absolutely stunning.
  19. I fill books at the Tesco I work at and we've got a brochure for the next week regarding Harry Potter. We definitely haven't got any yet. According to the brochure, we're not getting any books until Friday, and that goes for every Tesco. It tells you allsorts actually, like how many books each Tesco is allocated for the launch. My store's (Stalybridge) getting 1204, but the Extra stores are getting about 3500 and the Expresses are just getting 32. Also, we don't know the definitive price for it until Friday, when head office decides. I'm guessing it'll be around the £8 mark. If anybody's interested in how many their Tesco store's getting, you can PM me and I'll find out for you.
  20. I work on entertainment at Tesco and in our brochure for next week, it says we're selling PS3s with R:FoM, Motorstorm and a free controller for £424.97. Almost makes me wish I waited a couple of months, what with the 10% staff discount on top of that!
  21. I got a 2nd Casino Royale Blu-Ray in the post today. Sony screw-ups FTW!
  22. You forgot Finding Nemo = Shark Tale = The Reef (new one that came out on DVD this week) Though I do really really love Pixar stuff.
  23. It was £1000 3 years ago. The price could've gone up or down really, these babies don't lose their value. As for effects pedals, I don't really use them to be honest. I love the punchy sound of the Rickenbacker too much! What kind of effects are you after? If it's distortion, I've heard that the Russian Big Muff is a good pedal for it. I've got a Boss SYB-3 Synth pedal for messing about with that's quite fun. You could always listen to my band at http://www.myspace.com/thisismylawnmower to hear how good the Rick is. *shameless plug* Ikea. Though that does mean you have the joy of making them yourself...
  24. Thanks. Though it should really for the price of it... *cough*£1000*cough*
