2 standing tickets for Blackpool! Woo! Also, got 2 tickets to see them in Manchester on Sunday as part of the NME tour. And yes, they're both taken.
-
His accent is one of the best things about them! I'm still listening to the album constantly, it's actually become the most listened to album on my iPod since last April... Gonna see them on Sunday. Can't wait! Got tickets to see them in Blackpool this April too. How top!

Mid-minimising action!

My band! http://www.myspace.com/harvieband It's like, um, indie-rock-type-stuff.

I can't believe that nobody's posted the new Splinter Cell 4 screens. So I'll do it. Yes these are in-game... or so I hear. Edit: Arse, the links have died. But I assure you they look ace!

*agrees with Schpickles, Lammie and Nicolas* To be honest, I really don't care for apps on XP that I'd hardly use, when I can have OS X and just the useful apps that I always use. OS X is light years ahead of XP in terms of funtionality. When I use Windows now, I miss little things like Expose, the dock, widgets and the general speed of OS X. I don't play games on PCs, so I don't care about that aspect. I have consoles for that. All I need is internet software (Safari), music software (iTunes), photo editing software (Photoshop CS2/iPhoto), MSN and an office suite (MS Office 04). Mac has these and they're far superior to their Windows counterparts in terms of ease of use and appearance. With the exception of MSN, but that is a Microsoft product. However, Adium comes pretty close.
-
The sooner the better, Mac MSN 5 is a pile of crap really. I sometimes use Adium, but it can play up a bit and not send messages. We need a good MSN. :P Heck, the 'new' feature in MSN 5 was display pictures. It came out in about July last year. How long's it been on Windows now? Here's hoping for microphone chat.

This thread'll probably get locked but... http://www.myspace.com/harvieband It's my band, and um, just check it out!

I've been drinking shitloads of coffee this week. It's great stuff! So, um, coffee it is.

How do you know they're repeats?

Their first single was Five Minutes With Arctic Monkeys, which had Fake Tales Of San Francisco and From The Ritz To The Rubble on it. It was released about May-ish. I have it on CD and Vinyl. Woo. I Bet You Look Good... was released in October, When The Sun Goes Down is released a week on Monday. Just clearing that up.
-
I fucking love Arctic Monkeys. Gonna see them next month. Have both their current singles on CD and vinyl, getting the new one in a couple of weeks and defo getting the album (though I have 'obtained' it...) Got 2 shirts. Love the album, love all the demos, love all the b-sides.... I like them. A lot. "Yer not from New York City, yer from ROVRAM...."

Starting Harvie (the band I'm in) - Writing loads of cool songs with a great bunch of lads and playing them live to a top audience is awesome. And so's rehearsing next door to Doves, one of my favourite bands. Getting a girlfriend - Though the 'losing one' part kinda sucked.... Going to New York - And going there for the cost of just my spending money made it even sweeter. I so wanna go back... Getting an Xbox 360 at launch - Partly because I was getting worried I wasn't going to get one and also because Xbox Live on 360 is worth the £280 alone. Concerts, concerts, concerts - This year I've been to more concerts than any other, but my favourites are the Coldplay ones at the Reebok in Bolton (I'm in the Fix You video, yay), Gorillaz and Doves in Manchester and Sigur Ros in Liverpool.

1024x768 Sorry, that joke comes out every year...
-
Hahaha - thanks! I got my white PSP this morning too. Woo!!! My black one was playing up a bit and winding me up, so now I'm just gonna use it for 'cheesecakes' and 'donuts'.
-
Please excuse the big wirey mess, it's not usually so bad...

I'm not sure about the age thing. If it was 2 14/15 year olds, and they were sensible about it, and were aware about protection, and dealt with it in an adult way, then I don't see too much of a problem. Yes, I'm covering my tracks for having sex with a 14 (nearly 15) year old when I was 16....
-
Shinin' by Mondo Grosso off the Lumines soundtrack rocks my tits off! Oh, and that Aisle 10 song off JSRF. And the I Love Love You song. And the music in Metroid Prime on the, um, grassy, um, part... (forgive me, I've not played it for 2 years :P)
-
I don't think I'd want to have a one night stand. It's, like, one level above having sex with a prostitute! I had sex with my last girlfriend 6 days after going out. The relationship lasted all of 2 weeks. Don't rush into it, people... :/
-
Woo! I ordered myself a lovely white PSP off eBay for £169 inc Postage and it's in the UK, so no import charges. And I can keep my black one for playing lots of cheesecakes and donuts.
