  1. Couple more Emmy's last night Great to see Goransson's work recognised, really well deserved. Love the overall score to each episode and the main theme was instantly memorable.
  2. Oh sure for its time it's obviously fine. It was more the Piantas I was commenting on. Toadsworth isn't too bad either
  3. I forgot how fun FLUDD was to use, the game is pretty similar to Odyssey in the movement options I was too focused on the... voice acting... to notice.
  4. That's a good move from Xbox and a good way to respond to the PS5 pre-order disaster. Seriously tempted to pick up an S, but I think I might wait a few months so I'm not losing £700 in one go
  5. Might watch some 480p videos of Sunshine and Galaxy to remember what SD looked like before loading this up
  6. Had a quick look at Sekiro when everyone was talking about it but it didn't appeal to me for whatever reason, will have a proper look though and see, thanks!
  7. Only been waiting a year to say that, like a saddo
  8. Thanks for the insight. I've played (and loved) games with Souls-like mechanics you mention, Hollow Knight or Jedi Fallen Order. Obviously not to the same extent, but there are similarities. I think I'd enjoy that tense risk/reward gameplay. If I can get through Darkest Dungeon without going mad (unlike some of the characters I played as), I should be able to enjoy Souls games. Reading this it sounds like I definitely should have given Bloodborne a chance when I still had my PS4. Don't think I'll bother with PS+ on PS5 though so might have to find it cheap somewhere if you think it's a better more modern experience than Demon Souls.
  9. It's great having no grasp of reality. You should try it sometime @Dcubed Turns out Playstation don't buy their SSDs from Amazon.
  10. Interesting, thanks for the insight, I knew about the punishing difficulty but didn't know about being able to choose from a variety of character classes. The premise kind of intrigues me and I think I'd like to give one of these games a go, so maybe will make it this one.
  11. Can someone explain the appeal of Demon Souls for someone who's never played it, nor played any Souls games? All I saw in the gameplay demo was the main character running through corridors taking foes out with a boss at the end. Is it a metroidvania? Are there puzzles? Lots of fun items to use?
  12. Nice shadowdrop for Ori, Nintendo seem to love that these days. Good to see they've (apparently) got it running well, really loved the game on Xbox.
  13. It's easier to appreciate these when they're as frequent as once a month. Ten minutes of third party stuff seems like a good idea, but each one could do with one big hitter, the first one at SMTV, but the last didn't really have anything like that as far as I can remember.
  14. Interesting article at Eurogamer... More here: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-09-17-ps5-is-a-surefire-hit-but-sonys-broken-promises-are-eroding-trust
  15. Yeah Sony U-turning their "We believe in generations" statement has made a few people question the need to get a PS5 at launch. Maybe they know hardware numbers will be seriously limited.
  16. Yeah I'm in a similar boat, though I did actually pre-order one. Not sure why though, it's just really Spider-Man at launch and even that's not massively appealing It did look pretty though. I was hoping for a proper revamp of their PS+ service but if it's just PS4 games I've already played then I won't bother with that. Disappointing.
  17. I framed it against PS5 game prices full stop. Nothing to do with consoles or launche line-ups. Oh and Xbox aren't prioritising selling you a console, they're selling a service.
  18. I personally saw 2 games I wanted to play last night, the Spider-Man expansion and Hogwarts. Game Pass has tons of games, not just AAA but indie that I want to play. Game Pass is fantastic, there really shouldn't be much of an argument over that.
  19. That's why Game Pass was trending on Twitter last night after the PS5 show, people looking at the £70 prices of PS4 games and how that (doesn't) stack up to the amazing value of Game Pass.
  20. Get up you lazy...! Couple more... It won 5 out of 10 on the first night (3 of those nominations were in the same category)
  21. Playstation Plus has been poor for a while now so definitely needed a revamp to be worth the money but I'm not sure offering last gen games everyone's just played in the last few years is quite the Game Pass killer Sony may think it is? But I guess they know they're unlikely to make many sales of last gen games anymore so may as well offer them for free. Cool if there's a couple you haven't played and want to subscribe to Plus for online.
  22. You're surprised everything Sony do is amazing and Microsoft can do nothing right to some people on here?
  23. Yeah agreed, Spider-Man looked pretty good. The usual superhero action + quicktime events but the game looked beautiful and I'm sure the combat will be fun. Hogwarts looked a little rough but that was the only other thing I was interested in in that whole stream.
