  1. Jesus christ, I thought I was at the end of World of Light and it just keeps going. Enormously so. I'm not sure I can be bothered finishing it at this rate, it just dumps what looks like hundreds of extra battles on you out of the blue
  2. I really hope they don't give us Odyssey DLC and just give us a Galaxy 2 type sequel. Feels like over a year later we're past the point of potential DLC for it. If the Star Fox racing game is a thing I can see them holding off on new MK8 DLC too. That's another game that might just get a sequel in a couple of years anyway.
  3. Sorry forgot to reply to this. re: potential trailer, I tend to type in Star Wars in google most days and a few places were reporting rumblings that we might get a teaser trailer this month. Who knows, it's probably just nonsense. I kind of hope we don't see till a few months down the line, feels a bit early. That's a very good point re: Ren's crimes, I hadn't really added them all up together. It might sound obvious but I can imagine something like his redemption being giving his life to save Rey. Abrams would get plenty of grief for rehashing Jedi, but it's the only way to have him pay for his crimes and be somewhat redeemed. I'll have to take you and Cube's word for it re: Thrawn, I've not watched an episode of Rebels and only briefly red Heir to the Empire around the time it came out. Anyway forget about who or if we'll see a bigger bad. Just give us new B-Wings JJ! That's what I want to see.
  4. Yeah I've no clue about when Pokemon typically releases, so Gen 8 in November it is! I think Nintendo likes to have a big (non-Pokemon) end of year/Christmas game and I figured Metroid or Retro's title would be that game. Basically the title their E3 is centred on. Maybe it'll be something unannounced, but their line-up is pretty packed and diverse as it is I'm not sure how many more surprises are in store for next year. If Retro are doing that Star Fox Grand Prix game it makes sense they'd hold off talking about it until Star Link had its moment (ok, whimper) before they reveal it. If that's the case it should be close to release.
  5. January: NSMBUDX February: Daemon x Machina March: Yoshi's Crafted World April: Metroid Prime Trilogy May: Fire Emblem Three Houses June: Animal Crossing July: ?? August: Bayonetta 3 September: Pokemon Gen 8 October: Luigi's Mansion 3 November: Metroid Prime 3/Retro's game December: ?? Throw in Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein Whatever It's Called, Persona 5 and Mortal Kombat XI into the mix third party wise, and a couple of surprise Nintendo releases. Probably wishful thinking to get Bayonetta 3, Metroid and/or Retro's game in the same year, but it could happen I guess
  6. I would hold off on the final boss as long as possible tbh, I won't say much more for fear of spoiling but if you fight him now it'll be the most anticlimactic ending ever.
  7. I've always had a big backlog but Red Dead and the prospect of Assassin's Creed shortly aftwards is just overwhelming We can't complain really, the quality of games is ridiculously high these days, on all platforms.
  8. I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by how many games I’m keen to play. I don’t like to have more than two games going at once (on separate consoles) but I’m struggling at the moment. Really keen to finish Red Dead but I’ve only just started chapter 4 and I haven’t actually played it for a couple of weeks. World of Light is neverending and I haven’t even touched the Classic mode yet. Really want to get Elite Dangerous on Xbox, and play AC Odyssey, and Forza Horizon 4, not to mention “smaller” games like Below and The Messenger and a million other Switch indies. Plus the looming threat of Anthem in a couple of months ARGH!!
  9. I’m loving it, it’s just LONG. Surprised to see some light puzzle solving and Metroidvania aspects in it. I also didn’t think I’d enjoy the spirit system as much as I do, it’s surprisingly fun. Also how every fight is a little dose of nostalgia or fan service. Or who the F is that in the case of Fire Emblem spirits.
  10. Wow, World of Light just keeps going eh
  11. I don't think Doom Guy is that unlikely tbh, though they may have to steer clear of the BFG for his final smash. If Joker is any indication I can see a lot of the DLC characters being third party ones. Steve from Minecraft makes too much sense, even if everyone would rather have Banjo. Maybe both.
  12. I think there's a lot of nostalgia involved
  13. If anyone happens to spot an Xbox One S selling for cheap somewhere could you let me know? Keen to buy one for a mate. Currently about £180/190 everywhere I look.
  14. I had the same thought earlier, but with Luigi
  15. I'm getting pretty obsessed with World of Light. I keep looking over at my Switch on my desk and thinking "fine, just another couple of spirit battles" *an hour passes* *puts Switch down* twenty minutes later I'm at it again.
  16. In hindsight (well, not really), Ubisoft were about 5 years too late for a toys to life game, especially one that doesn't rely on brand recognition like Nintendo, Disney etc. The Star Fox connection definitely got it more sales, but this sounds like an absolute disaster otherwise. Seems pretty fun from what I've seen of it, with a surprising amount of depth.
  17. Cheers, after what felt like the 47th attempt I finally beat them, only to be met with a blocked path. D'oh! I'll look around some more get skill points etc.
  18. How the F do you beat the Andy spirit from Advance Wars in World of Light, I must have tried about 30-40 times
  19. Crazy numbers, especially considering I suspect digital sales will have been pretty high. Switch software sales remain an absolute beast. Nintendo made a console that people want to play games on.
  20. If Hux hadn't been set up as an object of ridicule in TLJ I'd agree with you that he could take the reigns but I think we're past that point now. I don't necessarily think we need a "bigger" bad, as much as a bad guy full stop. I'm talking more Grievous (sigh) than Palpatine. Someone to advance the plot and give Kylo Ren room to do his own thing. As for the majority of the audience not being aware of Thrawn, I don't think that matters too much, they can introduce him as any new character would be introduced and there'd be backstory already in place for those that know him. From reports it sounds like we might be getting a first teaser trailer this month, so maybe we'll soon find out.
