well in that case who makes COD, AC, Batman, LEGO, Rayman, Wonderfull 101, F1 Race Stars because i definitely have all these games and i'm sure they are not all made by Nintendo. Either list all the publishers or retract your statement -

if the company advertised the car with a sunroof, then yes I would complain if it didn't have one. As for you last comment, are you really that much of a Sony fanboy that in your mind it's ok for them to falsely advertise a product and it's down to the customer to make sure they are not getting duped. I think XB1 is a horror, but I at least admire Microsoft for being open and upfront with their plans. Put it another way what would you think if you opened your PS4 and there was no controller? -

don't answer a question with a question. You stated that pretty much every developer had abandoned the Wii U. I asked you to list them and all you did was list games that are actually exclusive to Wii U, the complete opposite of what you had claimed. Of course there are games that won't come to Wii U, nobody bought a Wii U to play GTA5 or Battlefield, but the flip side of that coin is that Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Zelda etc -

because they advertised it. There should have least been some small print clarifying that an additional purchase was necessary. It's the same as saying PS4 is cheaper is than XB1 without actually clarifying that you get more in the box with XB1. I would be pretty pissed off to have seen that demo (which was brilliant) forked out £330 on the console only to then find out I would need to pay an extra £100 to do what was advertised on the box. It's like when you see an advert for a car, they always show the top spec model, but in the small print state this is the top model @ £27,500 but the basic car is £20,000. They let you know you are not getting what's in the picture. -

Really? Can you list them? Apart from EA I wasn't aware of this. I mean I look at the charts and apart from FIFA 14, I have most of these games on Wii U. -

Sony's PR has been very good. XB1 was so bad I can't actually believe it's selling as well as it is. It's like catching the mikman with your wife and still getting your milk delivered. That said Sony have been sneaky bastards, they made a big thing of eyetoy with the robot demo, but neglected to mention that eyetoy is not in the box and likewise made a big thing about being cheaper than XB1 again without mentioning that the eyetoy is not in the box. I also really don't like the fact neither Sony or Microsoft let you know there is a subscription to play online. I have heard so many stories (some on here) where people have purchased a new console and only when you are ready to go online you get hit with the subscription bombshell. -

without doubt one of the greatest games I've ever played. The single player was massive. About 4 times I thought that's the end, then you open up a whole new area. And when you finally finished it, the mercenaries were a brilliant way of keeping you coming back again and again. -
I was joking buddy just getting hyped

when does the league start... 1st June? i did spit the dummy and pack it in, but it was not because I was coming last "once or twice" (cough, cough) There was one chaotic night where it all went pear shaped a few people got disconnected from a GP, the rest of us carried on only to find out they had started again. Now the rules are if you get disconnected that's your loss, but to start again and punish the people who didn't get disconnected was the final straw for me. It's like the lag in COD. That's why MK8 above all else needs a good online system.

I did exactly the same thing with the gamecube, bought the purple one, sold that to get the platinum one and then sold that. Didn't buy a wii at launch, then played wii sports was blown away and couldn't get my hands on one for months. So this gen I bought 4 wii u thinking I would sell 3 of them... I am a fuckwit!

Tetris 64... the thinking mans multiplayer of choice. I would kill for this on VC and also a HD remake of Perfect Dark with online multiplayer. N64 was 4 player brilliance. I had one and sold it when Gamecube came out, then a few years later I realised the error of my ways and bought another one and then I sold that. Now reading this thread I'm thinking of getting another one. But come on Nintendo put these frickin games on VC.

and then some. However, Nintendo has always been a hugely profitable company and Wii aside their home consoles have sold in the 30 million bracket, so they are not reliant on doing Wii numbers. PS2 at the time kept Sony afloat and that shifted 150 million units, so it's easy to see why they are posting 1 billion loses when PS3 only did roughly half the numbers of PS2. Apple destroyed Sony with ipod. Prior to that Sony owned the portable music market -
It is a fact, end of. We have had many disagreements on here and everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but trying to argue that the PS4 is cheaper than Wii U is an act of tomfoolery. As you pointed out recently when you falsely accused me of stating you had purchased a PS4, it retails at £330. The RRP for PSN is £40 per annum which is required. So based on a 5 year life span a PS4 will set you back £530. I'm not sure what the RRP for Wii U is at present but even taking the most expensive pack available at launch, the Zombie U bundle was £299 and that came with Zombie U, a game pad and a Pro controller. That's £230 less than a PS4 and if you wanted to be pedantic you could add in the cost of a Vita at circa £200 to enable the PS4 to do exactly what Wii U can do. It is as Black and White as a Penguin playing chess on a zebra crossing that Wii U is considerably cheaper than PS4 to own and perceived values and the depreciation of game values are in no way a valid justification to argue otherwise.

that's an outrageous assumption considering I'm back for this. I'm personally insulted that you have written off my chances of coming last! Me and @Blade will be battling hard for the wooden spoon.
-
not just that, it was a funded game in the first place so why didn't they just raise the initial funding level? I know me and @dazzybee wanted to get involved in this project, but it was closed when we found out about it. Seems a bit crazy that people are trying to invest in a project but can't and yet the project is having cashflow issues.

Yeah of course there are plenty of things Sony and Microsoft do better than Nintendo. I may be in the minority but I like the fact that copying the opposition is not in Nintendos make up. That for me is what makes them such great innovators because they come up with this stuff time and again rather than just looking over the fence and keeping up with the Jones'. As it is Sony and Microsoft produce very similar consoles every gen, what would be the point in having a third generic console. Look what happened when Microsoft tried doing their own thing with xb1the gaming community were in uproar and they had to backtrack on their entire ethos.

granted there have a been a couple of games that have had release across platforms almost on a par, but when 99% of Wii U versions suffer for one reason or another then the general mindset is one of don't buy 3rd party games on Wii U. People are not going to go out of their way to find out if the odd title here or there are equal or better on Wii U. Nintendo do have to take a chunk of the blame as this trend became such a big issue last gen because Wii just could not match the grunt of PS3 or 360 so the gimped version became the norm and it seems that publishers have not got out of the habit.

i discovered N- Europe whilst browsing for Mario Kart Wii forums, got involved in the Mario Kart league, @lostmario you legend, and I've been here ever since.

sometimes it's the hardware that makes the software innovative. Wii Sports was so good because of the hardware. Without the wiimote, wii sports could not exist. Wii Sports almost single handed shifted 100 million consoles (you could also include the balance board in that) when was the last time you saw that kind of innovation. There is no way on God's earth that Move and Kinect were just a coincidence. No mention of these products at launch, Wii takes over the world and suddenly Sony and Microsoft have similar products coming to market. Kinect even launched with a Wii sports style game.

I've been saying for some time on here that I didn't think Watch Dogs would make it to Wii U. It's doesn't really bother me as I most likely would not have got it anyway, but it's symptomatic of the vicious circle that seems to be Wii U 3rd party releases. With PS4/Xbox1/Wii U sales at a similar level at this point in time it was an opportunity to see a game released across all three platforms on a level playing field. Unfortunately, pretty much every 3rd party release thus far has seen the Wii U version hampered in one way or another.
-
i have not read the article, but my personal opinion on the innovation debate is that Sony and Microsoft copy Nintendo. There can be little argument that Sony in particular have copied Nintendo, especially their controllers. Kinect is a direct result of trying to take motion gaming and forward it a step further. I may be wrong but I don't recall any instances where Nintendo have copied either Sony or Microsoft, in fact with Wii they seemed to intentionally go the opposite direction and yet what happened there... Sony and Microsoft jumped on the family/casual bandwagon and started churning out Wii esque games. But that's just my opinion before WW4 breaks out.

PHEW! I think I actually want this more than Mario Kart 8
