I think the hate for Hendersom comes from him having done nothing to warrant his selection in the team, that goes for Downing too. You can defend them to the hills and talk up their potential but in the end that counts for nothing. Players are picked on what they've done not what they possibly could do. How exactly is Joe Cole pointless? he's had a very good season for Lille, certainly better than anyone in that centre midfield than Parker. Henderson is perhaps picked due to the lack of other options but the same can't be said for Downing, there's plenty of better options that have been ignored. I can't believe Osman has never played for England, the guy is so underrated. Considering the lack of creative midfielders England have, he should definitely be in that squad.

Absolutely although he's never been able to replicate his club form for country. That's not exclusive to Gerrard, seems to be a lot of players who can't do it for England like they do for their club.

Read the post again, i was referring to their season not their potential or past ability. If you think Gerrard gad a good season, you're seriously deluded.

It's a covering thought that Liverpool players make up more of the England squad than just about any other team. Especially when you consider Johnson aside, the rest were well below average.

Not sure about other states, but tipping is a way of life in New York.

Do you have a specific time frame in mind for waiting?

Liverpool fans at a stretch.

I suggest you check what Total football is. Total football is being able to play every position, not just attack. Sticking midfielders in defence and a frustrated striker in goals is not total football.

For me, the tactics Chelsea employed were befitting of a small club facing a big league name in away trip in the FA Cup. Chelsea aren't minnows, by UEFA rankings they're the 3rd best team in Europe (ahead of Bayern Munich). It does sound very bitter to say they didn't deserve it but looking back on all the years I've followed this competition, i'eve never seen a team so outplayed in every tie yet still somehow lift the trophy. I admire their determination but lady luck was certainly smiling on them,

Suarez POTENTIALLY could be as good as Rooney, van Persie or Aguero if he could keep his head and learn how to finish but as with everything in life, potential is no good if it's not fulfilled. It's the same kind of deal for the whole squad, on paper it should be challenging for the league but it's got absolutely no where near it. I'm sure some fans are still in a bit of shock at just badly they failed in that respect. Recently we've been used to seeing Liverpool fall way as the season progressed but they'd normally return to form when it's near the end. This season they seemed to get worse. Perhaps all it needs is a new approach to spawn the desired result.

No. I'm saying Fletcher has had a better season, considering the shit he plays for. Suarez isn't in the same class as the other three. I don't think i've ever seen you actually criticise anything in relation to Liverpool. Your the only scouse fan that I know that has continually praised players like Downing and Henderson.

The man directing it, David Nutter is probably the best Pilot director in the industry. Unfortunately the people behind it are dos responsible for Green Lantern.

I watched Suarez for years when he was at Ajax, long before he ever signed for Liverpool, I know exactly what he's capable off. As for Carroll, one good season for Newcastle coming off a decent season in the Championship, a season in which he was outscored by Gary Hooper who played for Scunthorpe at the time. Fletcher may not have been signed for £20 million + but he's been a damn sight more effective than Suarez has. If Suarez would play to his potential he'd be nearly unplayable, unfortunately he can't. It was never a problem in the inferior Dutch league, but it's not the same standard in the EPL.
-
I want my strikers to score goals, stay on the pitch and not drag the image of the club down. Yakubu and Fletcher both fit those roles, Carroll and Suarez do not.
-
How he's played doesn't matter, it's how many goals he's scored. Liverpool would have apparently won the league on how they played but that doesn't matter a hoot. There's a lot more English strikers who have been getting done above Carroll, one good performance in the FA cup final doesn't change that, it's countless performances like his effort against Newcastle that do.
-
That has to be the worst England squad i've ever seen. WHY THE FUCK IS DOWNING THERE? Adam Johnson's gone all quiet probably because he's died of shock. Matt Jarvis should have been selected before Downing. It's great to see Ox there but it's a waste of a space if he isn't going to be used. Carrol is a joke, and Defoe has been patchy all season. Daniel Sturridge, Crouch and a half fit Bent should have all been selected ahead of them. I can understand Richards omission, he's not played very much this season at all. Jordan Henderson as a reserve makes me lol, I'd have gone for Joey Barton before I reached for Henderson.
-
I was referring more to the idea of the tackle than the actual injury. He's got it coming either way. Even if someone was to seriously injure him, it wouldn't come close to touching the things he has done both on and off the pitch. The fact that he shows no remorse is the icing on the cake.
-
It's times like this i'd wish someone would channel their inner Roy Keane and 'Haaland' Joey Barton.

I loled at Frimmy's tweet about that twat.

Before everyone brings up the buying success shot at City, remember to also apply to Utd. Comparing the starting line up's of both clubs yesterday and Utd's as assembled at a higher cost. City might have the bigger squad that was assembled at a higher cost but factor in players like Anderson and Berbatov (well over £50 million combined) and the difference between the two isn't as large as many people like to make out.

Today wasn't Del Piero's last game, that comes next week in the Italian Cup final.

Sensitivity aside, most people didn't even know about the original design beside the badge, not it's been moved it draw far more attention and people will be curious as to what it is.
