Do you make the the 'VUUUUUMMMMMM' noise everytime you unleash it? Not to hijack the thread but what about manscaping? Do people let it grow like a jungle or smooth as silk or perhaps a little foliage?
-
Yes, someone with a bit of experience, who has won at the top level. Right after Seaman we had mad Jens and it worked well because he was so experienced.....and because he was Mad Jens. On older guy would complement the two young guys we've currently got and help them develop.

Nah, if we're getting a keeper it has to be an established big name. Mignolet has a lot of potential but so does Chesney. I don't rate Mignolet any higher than Ches.

I could be about BUT GET MY FUCKING NAME RIGHT YOU LITTLE MIDGET. xoxo.

Not getting carried away at all. Arsenal's performance yesterday was fantastic in every way. Cazorla was unplayable, Ramsey ran the show and Giroud said fuck you to all the haters. We defended well and countered attack like the old days. Podolski showed why he's got the goal record he does, literally did nothing but score 2. Sagna showed he was capable of playing every position on the pitch. Chezzers made some good saves and commanded the box well. Walcott is now putting in performances every game and showing what a key player he is. Rosicky is so underrated, he's older now but wasn't long ago he was the best midfielder in Europe. Even after so many injuries, he's still very nippy...complimented Santi and Rambo very well. Time to kick on now, build on the back of 2 great performances, invest some good money into the squad and get ready for the scum on Sunday.

It's all coming Thursday, so I'll get some photos of it all when it's up and running. Perhaps an action shot or two

I'd personally have chosen Daniel Radcliffe. He always seemed so good a playing a moody little cunt who thought the world was against him.

I think the reaction to Affleck has been blown well out of proportion. He's made some shit films that he's openly acknowledged but you can only work with what you're given and that wasn't much in things like Pearl Harbour and Daredevil. The guy can really act, write and direct, he knows his stuff. I think he's gotten a lot better as he's gotten older, perhaps not seeking out the major movies anymore in attempt to fix his image (lulz picking Batman). Argo is a fucking immense piece of work. People jizzed themselves over Bale because "OMG HE"S A CHARACTER ACTOR WHO ONCE LOST 13 STONE TO APPEAR AS PILLOW IN SOME FILM NO ONE REMEMBERS!' Funny not many people mention Terminator Salvation.

Haha yeah, I've always wanted to work out with the Eric Prydz 'Call on Me' video in full view My arse isn't much of a fan either, I always just imagine i'm Lance Armstrong without the drugs. Do you do any cardio prior to lifting? or just stretching maybe? Yep, that's what the handles at the top are for. The handles on the right are for dips. It's can be used for a lot of different things, Squats, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Inverted Rows, Power Cleans, Deadlifts etc.

That is the biggest factor for me. It will save so much time not having to commute to the gym. I'll no longer have to worry about getting to the gym at a decent time before it overruns or never face a battle to use the equipment I need. The only thing i'll miss are the pretty ladies and the bikes. Although I've been eyeing up a bike that's available for £200 odd that might join my facility in the future

It's a 20kg, 7ft bad boy. Total weight is 140kg Need a few more Chickens before i'm getting anywhere near that
-
Everything is by Bodymax. The weights are a cast finish. I've actually added some more now, so got a total of 120kg worth of plates. 2 x 20KG 2 x 15KG 2 x 10KG 4 x 5KG 4 x 2.5KG 4 x 1.5KG If you're ever up North, pop in for a visit

No worries brah, look foreard tonseeing them. Nah, unfortunately doesn't say under the specs. They look pretty robust though, should be able to take a decent amount. Yeah, that's pretty natural. Your body will suppress hunger after exercise. Too busy releasing all those feel good endorphins to worry about food. That said, it is important to eat something not long after, eating the right stuff is paramount to your body recovering and getting stronger.

Jon's Gym will soon be open for business

Really depends on how hard you work, what your conditioning level is like. If you generally feel good, there's no harm in doing something. Sometime a little cardio is good for easing the stiffness that sometimes follows a workout with weights. I've only gone and ordered everything for the home gym. Definitely glad to have spent the little extra on the cage, the ability to dips and chin ups is an added bonus. @Fierce_LiNk Found some olympic sized dumbbells that i'm gonna get eventually. £25 per bar. Posted everything i've ordered so far in the bought thread.
-
It's not necessarily a bad thing though. A lot of those things you mentioned are annoying things but you'd let them pass because you didn't want to cause a scene. Now, with things like the cinema, you've payed your money and you want watch the fucking film in peace. One thing i've learned as you get older is your bullshit level drops and you're more inclined to tell people what you think. As for the drink thing, you've exhausted it. The people who are still doing it later in life are the sad people. Nothing wrong with going out at a weekend but when the hair's receding and your week is still one long hangover; you've got issues.
-
Unfortunately it isn't a ground floor room. I can drop the supports right down and deadlift off the rack, so it's not a major problem. Definitely won't miss the gym, the only machine I rarely use is the leg press but that's very rarely; normally stick to squats, lunges and calf raises. Space will be on the tight side but i've measured and it fits.....I think I might buy some mats just for any core work or press ups etc.
-
Seem to be pretty decent. The more I think about the more I like the whole idea of it. At the moment I probably go to the gym about 3 times a week, i'm probably like £30 for parking a month because parking in Aberdeen so shit and the gym is right in the city centre. Not to mention the appeal of rolling out my bed and working out without seeing a single Polish* muscle heads : peace: No disrespect to Polish people intended.

So. http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-100kg-olympic-rubber-radial-barbell-kit-with-6-bar.php with http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf376r-half-cage.php and http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/bodymax-cf325-fid-utility-bench.php That rack is a bit more expensive but it's far superior and has pull up handles too! Would try and find some olympic sized dumbbells like you mentioned @Fierce_LiNk. Is it worth getting some sort of mats for flooring? i'm just thinking for deadlifting, since I don't want to disturb everyone in the house.
-
The one benefit of using a standard bar over an Olympic would be the ability to use the same plates on the barbell and dumbbell. All this thinking is harder than working out
-
I'm use to lifting with Olympic bars too. It's just trying to find the right combination of plates. Seems to be hard to find adjustable dumbbells with any great weight. They all seem to be 20kg sets, I was kinda aiming for at least 20kg per Dumbbell.
-
Amazon have got a York olympic bar for £60. Space is at a premium so the smaller bar might be the better option, though i'd need to get more plates, since the bar would be a fair big lighter.
-
Yeah man some pics would be great. Had a browse on power-house, racks and benches can be gotten fairly cheaply but the barbels and weights are pretty pricey. Will have a look at where you've suggested. Powerhouse have that for £199.
-
Sack what i just said Flink, you've inspired me. Been out with the tape measure , IT'S POSSIBLE. Thinking about what I do in the gym, don't really need more than a Bench, Rack and Dumbbells. Any good sites for equipment?
-
If only I had the room brah, I'd struggle to fit a medicine ball in my bedroom, let alone any dumbbells Definitely a future ambition though!
