  1. Maybe if you went to GAF more. I do that there, too :p
  2. A few friends and I are meeting up, and we're going to have Pokémon battles. I'm not even joking
  3. I am totally going to get this table when I get my house
  4. Mostly the people. I like being in a close knit group of people with very similar interests. As you know, I'm a head of a massive community, and while that's awesome, I don't get the sense of camaraderie, not even with the staff as much, due to the position I'm in. As such, it's great to be here with cool people talking about Nintendo. Sure, there's a rift between people here due to Nintendo's recent happenings, but I still fully enjoy this place, no matter how frustrating it can get
  5. An ad break on ITV this evening to promote it.
  6. High quality box-art has surfaced
  7. Shin'en's graphical output on the Wii U is nothing short of remarkable. Plus, with physics being done at 240fps...sweet jesus. I love puzzle games so I will be getting this.
  8. Incidentally, there's some maintenance going on Monday morning. This sort of maintenance typically has only occurred just before a system update Extended maintenance - Wii U and 3DS (online play, leaderboards) on Monday, February 10th : a) Europe : 6AM to 8AM b) UK : 5AM to 7AM c) USA (East Coast) : 12AM to 2PM d) USA (West Coast) : 9PM to 11PM (Sunday) e) Japan : 2PM to 4PM
  9. Ah, so I countered your arguments and you're now moving the goalposts. Gotcha.
  10. I disagree. You can make it from start to finish on most Super Mario 3D World levels in around the same time as you can levels in Super Mario 64. Also, funnily enough, Mario 64's levels are based on old things. Grass level, castle level, lava level, 2 snow levels, 3 water levels, a desert level, a flying level. All I'm saying is that Super Mario 3D World is not any less or more a 3D Mario game (though I did imply it using your logic, but it isn't the case), or less of a "proper" Mario game, than Super Mario 64. Just because you may not like it does not make it true
  11. It is still a Mario game and it is still a 3D one. If anything, it's closer to a true 3D Mario than Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine were. It's also not a simple game. Go try Crown-Crown...I dare you. Its gameplay also isn't 2D Mario. Just because you go from A to B and it has a flagpole does not make it so. Mario 64 isn't even that different. You go from A to B to get a star, with the level changing slightly. You can maybe get another star while doing so, but it's still linear, just with the same levels over and over and over again, whereas Super Mario 3D World has variety.
  12. Super Mario 3D World IS a proper 3D Mario game.
  13. Yep, didn't know it was still being done :p ====== Ruby & Sapphire are a mixed bag. They introduced a load of amazing staples to the Pokémon franchise that exist today such as Natures, Abilities, Berries and Double Battles. There were also a load of changes to the mechanics that caused them to have to cut off compatibility with the previous generation (which I wish they had done BW into XY due to the hacks, but that's another issue). They increased the IVs per stat from 15 to 31 and added a cap to Effort Values at 510 total (in Gens 1 & 2 you could max out each stat) which added a layer of strategy to work out how best to train your Pokémon. Pokémon-wise, I was very critical of it. Though while it has absolute stinkers like Grumpig (the only Pokémon I hate, and I don't know why), it has many awesome designs and awesome Pokémon. Now, the game itself...this is where things get a bit iffy. Hoenn, as a region, just never sat right. It felt its order was convoluted for the sake of being convoluted. There wasn't that much variety and the characters were a bit bland...and the water, oh god there was way too much water to navigate. While the underwater aspects were cool, the amount of surfing, especially with random encounters, is unacceptable. Story wise, it was over far too quickly. There weren't enough Magma/Aqua encounters, and you never faced your rival with them having fully evolved Pokémon, which is utterly ridiculous. Ruby & Sapphire almost killed my love of the franchise. FireRed & LeafGreen kept me hanging in there, and Diamond & Pearl brought me back. I will always resent these games for that.
  14. Second???? Interesting. http://www.joystiq.com/2014/02/06/sonic-boom-comes-to-wii-u-and-3ds-from-western-studios/
  15. Someone on GAF posted this, apparently made several years back. How true it has become
  16. This is developed by former Naughty Dog developers though, being developed partially by Big Red Button, so it can't be all bad.
  17. So we have the trailer, I honestly don't know what to think about this Need more details. The gameplay looks interesting, but the designs...
  18. From the cartoon which is accompanying the new game http://video.lefigaro.fr/figaro/video/la-bande-annonce-de-sonic-boom/3161522154001/ Trailer Wii U & 3DS exclusive
  19. We're also getting it before the US and Japan. This is becoming a common occurrence. Happened with A Link to the Past, too.
  20. My god..what have they done?
  21. 30% off Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2012 Winter Olympic Games from tomorrow until the end of the 9th
  22. EA wasn't as hated then as it is now :p
  23. The Five-ish Doctors Reboot still cracks me up.
  24. I'd settle for that. Do we have a date for FAST?
