There's a lot of games i'll be checking up on, Metroid, red steel, MGS4, Halo 3, Resi 5, but really the only game I really want to see is the mario game. I think people have forgotten how brilliant the mario games are. Its been what, ten years since 64. Sunshine was great, brilliant even, it was just not up to that mario standard of SMB3 and Mario 64, games that you should see in any serious gamers top 10 list. WiiMario, as I like to call it, is going to be the same as 64. A groundbraking title that will define how games are done on the Wii with a Wiimote. I just wish I knew how.

A hook you say? Well how about the fact that the Nintendo Wii is going to be the first (properly) online home Nintendo console. Do a little bit of research on P.C. and Xbox clan websites, or websites devoted to online games. You could set up tournaments and other crap like that. Maybe even review and report on games that appear on the virtual console? I don't know i'm just throwing out ideas here.

If you're going to post something at least make sure it hasn't been posted before. Especially if it's been posted, like 4 times before. The annoying thing is that its not even that funny.

Look i'm still gonna buy the Wii, but there's no harm in laughing at it a little. And to all those complaining about the graphics, if those are infact from the Wii version, Ninty told use two tears ago it wouldn't be as powerful as the other two. They've had their cards laid out on the table for all to see to see for a while now, stop pretending you didn't know what was coming.

There is not one business on earth that doesn't want as much demand as possible. And the initial point of this thread is that Nintendo are stockpiling the Wiis (ha) in order to meet a worldwide demand. And yeh you're right it was actually meant to read "they're either on holiday or outside in the sunshine". It's this heat.

There's a very good reason why consoles and games are not released in Summer. People aren't at home. They're either at home or they're out playing in the sunshine. Wii will be released in September at the earliest. I'd put money on that.

Interesting. Those who know me around here know i'm not one to believe these typres of things, hell to give them the light of day, but this...this seems it may be...possible. Not right, possible. Here's why: 1. Whenever adressing the issue of release date Nintendo has always stated, no asserted, that they would release, if not before the PS3, then at least alongside it. They tag the PS2s lead as one of the reasons it took the sales this generation, and won't allow it to happen again. 2. The Wii is not like the PS3 or 360. It's a simple, quiet machine, and supposedly cheap and cost effective. These are the criteria required for an easy to make product. The Wii should be able to be made fast, and not have the production hickups that competitors products face. 3. The poster. Seems reliable. However may be inside joke. There's only one thing in the back of my head. I remember an article that spoke of the company supplying the graphics chips (or something along those lines) and that they had just been ordered. Someone help me with this. If true, great news.

Some of you guys may remember I ran a thread back on the old forums that was basically where everyone posted what they thought the release date of the Wii (then Revolution) will be. Unfortunatly it got wiped out in one of the forum crashes that plagued the old boards. But now, behold: Resurrection Yes, the challenge to you is to give your best guess as to the European release date of the Wii. But that's not all. Why not just keep it. I mean everyone who visits the site knows that Revolution was the codename, and it'd be a decent description of the console, and the whole movemtn Nintendo is making in games at the moment. Or you could just go for somthing lame like "www.wii-are-europe.com"

Wow, that does sounds incredible, but it's dated two years ago, so is there anything more recent? I'd also make the link to the presentation being held at the Kodak theatre, but I think its held there every year. Thats the first thing that has made me think there is even the slightest possibility of projection being used with the Wii.

Yeah, as said by some others, if Nintendo are to make this name work, 1st they need to make sure the public find out about it now, so all the initial jokes are done with, and so that people can know and remember it, because as stupid as it is, people will remember it. 2nd they need to aknowledge its a bit of a joke and take it in its stride, so.... 30s something or maybe teen is waiting in a really long line for the toilet, at a club or party, and he's bursting for it. Then he wets himself when he can hold it no longer, big puddle, everyone looks, music stops to worsen condition. Rewind a few seconds, and he looks down at his hand, to see the Wiimote, and smiles, maybe chuckles. He sweeps his hand horizontally, and all the people in line infront of him are thrown out of the way (going through windows, smashing into walls, yadda yadda). He walks into the toilet, smiling, while the people he swept aside are mangled, maybe bleeding and rithing in pain. The Wii comes up, and the line reads, in a deep male voice "Need a Wii?".

I saw his show while I was out in the states, follows the Daily Show. It's got to be one of the funniest things ever.
