Some pictures I took on my trip to Weston Super-Mare today. The editing was a bit rushed since I had a load to get through: And my personal favourite:

China is a hellhole. I'm aware that's a massive generalisation, but the more I see about the place, the more I doubt there is a good side. Another example Here. Watch the video, it's fucking shameful. I often do wonder though, how much is real and how much is made up. The internet is rife with people making up fake shock stories for a laugh.

I read a bit on the Qur'an and treatment of women. I think a lot of it is taken out of context. Their views are actually very protective, although a little patronising. But even then, aren't men naturally the protectors (along with hunter gatherer)? So the idea that men should protect women isn't entirely unjustified. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you mean sham marriages. I don't agree with sham marriages, but if it's a geniune marriage I have no problem with it. After all, the whole reason we're all here is to form relationships and reproduce, so I see it as a totally valid reason for immigration.

The most attractive shop worker girls in my area are actually the ones that work (or used to work) in Game and Gamestation. Lady nerds (or Lards as I affectionately call them) are just corking. That said, they're still probably attracted to guys with 2 tickets to the gun show and a jaw like the top end of a coffin, just like every other girl. Fortunately, I am the spitting image of Fabio. I'm loving Outrun at the minute. Although the multiplayer does have a few flaws. Firstly it's hard to really make a mistake, which means races tend to me more of a convoy than an actual race, although I do like the "should I or shouldn't I drift?" tactics. Plus the community seems quite mature, I haven't been rammed yet. Secondly, I always seem to end up joining a race in progress. It kind of defeats the point of a "just a quick go" arcade racer if you have to wait for a few minutes for a race to begin. Other than that, I absolutely love it. One of my favourite racers, I always play it in the arcade if I see it. I think I have the top score in the one in Northampton. I liked the demo of Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram, but 1200 points is a bit steep. Shame since I love the original. Might dig it out soon.

I was just listening to a podcast about British TV and they hit the nail on the head. People who make British TV shows generally know when to stop. They said that American networks keep making shows as long as it's making money (Simpsons etc), whereas British networks make shows untill they feel like stopping. Shows that finish before they get a bit crap end up going on to be classics. Fawlty Towers only had 12 episodes and is generally considered to be awesome because it quit while it was ahead (Although I'm not a huge fan to be honest). Firefly was cancelled because it didn't recieve great ratings, but because it didn't have chance to carry on going until it became stale, it got a bit of a cult following, enough to get a film made. Shows should quite before they become stale. Family Guy was a perfect example IMO. The first 3 seasons were good, but now the formula has become stale and a bit boring. They should'nt have brought back Family Guy and instead concentrated on American Dad and then on to the next show once that became stale.

The green one is proper army green, but it looks brighter here: Rat look car I painted. Matte grey/primer all over with mud and junk up the side: Edit: Damn it, I feel the need to find out my old toys. More later. Edit take 2: Found em! Micromachines and Mini Boglins. I'm sure I have tonnes more Mini Boglins somewhere else. -

I've decided swine flu is actually a good thing. Hopefully it will be a media frenzy, leaving less time to talk about the credit crunch, making people forget about it and buy more junk, thus ending the recession. Granted, if it all goes proper tits up we'll all be too dead to notice, but never mind. More dead people=more jobs! [paranoid nut] Does anyone see a possible conspiracy here? Country in recession, government make up/exadurate threat to distract people untill recession goes away.[/paranoid nut] Back to being rational. That's probably not the case, but it would make a good story.

It's been done in 3 sittings so far. First sitting was 3 hours to get the top bit outlined and coloured. Second sitting was 1 hour to get the bottom bit done in outline. Third sitting (today) was 1 hour to get the bottom bit coloured in. Those were just actual tattooing time, there was another hour or two total fannying about with placing the stencils on and other stuff. The reason the second 2 appointments were shorter was that you can't do too much if your doing all around an arm since it swells all round and can limit circulation to the hands. Or at least that's what they told me. I'm hoping it will be finished in the next sitting.

Cheers guys. Just got to have the last bit done and I'm finished (for now). I payed for all of it today, so I don't have to worry about paying for it anymore. It's going to feel like a free tattoo next time. Sweet.

With MGS3, what's the camera like? Is it fixed above you or is it full 3D like MGS4? I'm not a fan of the above view to be honest. It feels restrictive since you can't see far enough ahead.

Nah. The place I go to doesn't seem to use cling film. I've heard mixed things about cling film. Some places recommend it, others say no dressing is better than cling film. I've been to 2 different places and one used cling film, the other doesn't. Cling film wasn't the best experience, all the blood and excess ink was visible through it and I just had a reddish brown mess all over my leg as I walked through the hight street. The tattoo chap was quite impressed/jealous (his words) about how well my skin took the ink today. He said that the top bit was a bit tricky when I had it done, but the bottom bit worked really well. Bonus.

Ouch. Got the main part of my FMA tattoo coloured in today. It hurt a whole bunch. But I'm proper hard and took it like a champ. I done bled through my bandage: Gore: The result:

I have several options I would consider: A) Watch an entire series of 24. Seeing as it's quite a way under 24 hours, I'd spend the rest of the time reflecting on the season. 2: Declare my love for all my female friends one at a time. Just to see who returns the feelings. If any of them did I'd yell "I fucking knew it!" and move onto the next female friend. Unless they were one of my attractive female friends, then we'd bump uglies for a while. D. Spend the last 24 hours travelling. I reckon I could make it to Spain, providing the Chunnel is accessable.

MGS4 It's rad as shit. I think it might actually be the first game I've completed and immediately started a second playthrough. I rarely play a story driven game twice, but I'm pretty much in love with the game. The story isn't perfect (a bit over complicated IMO), but it's told so well. Plus Raiden is a certified badass. I'm now tracking down copies of the other games to see what I've missed. MGS2 is on the way (PS2 and Xbox, I collect things properly!). 9.5/10
