  1. I'm a fan of the Wario Land games so Master of Disguise was naturally on my radar... that was, until the reviews hit. http://www.gametrailers.com/reviews/s2cvfp/wario--master-of-disguise-review
  2. By the end of the game?? You just got it I thought. Not as pronounced as in Bangai-O but its there alright. I don't think its as intentional as in Bangai-O either.
  3. Does the Speed stat do anything? I've stuck some points into it but Solange is still pretty sluggish. She has style but I want her to be quick and nimble. (Floating through the air and climbing up trees isn't a priority.)
  4. Ever wondered what might happen if you mixed this: With this: ? The answer: Obscurity + obscurity!
  5. Hey hey! What about the new radio stations, Cruising Line and Camino a Mi Amor? They both fit in pretty well, imo. I always thought that if I raced well in Out Run, the good bit at the end of Splash Wave* would kick in on stage five, making it a sort of victory lap. However on this version, even flooring it with all the upgrades on, the music always peaks on stage four. Unless its F-Zero X, 60fps must be too much for me. I hope you are playing it on the highest difficulty? I bet you have been cantering through on the easiest which is why you sound like you're the bees knees. By the way, how good does stage three of the hard route look with the 3D on? :awesome: 1986 was very early doors for us kids so not to worry. Its great stuff if you want an upgrade from the GBA version. *Splash Wave: second only to Summer Time by the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff as far as summer songs go.
  6. Is it solid? : peace: Car sorted? I tried the MH 4U demo out and wow, are most people playing this on the larger 3DS models cos on my old white one, everything seems too crammed in.
  7. Yes, their traditional pride and secrecy have a part to play (though why would you help a competitor??) but I think the language barrier has been a huge issue when it comes to the Japanese using western tools. I read somewhere the other week that the likes of Dragon Quest XI is using Unreal 4 because a) its more cost effective and faster than Armor Project developing their own engine and b) because this version of Unreal finally has good Japanese documentation. If so, is it any wonder that it seemed the west has been in cahoots whilst Japan plays catch up?
  8. Sayonara Umihara Kawase. Have you played this? I've actually watched the video on the eShop a few times (the most recent being the other day because the eShop recommended it to me) and it looks terrible. Like just downright bad. I've looked at it each time purely because of the title my brain is like, ooh Japanese game. However, since you've mentioned it here, I've just Googled it and this is actually well rated because it has good gameplay. Is it really worth a punt? Fishing line platforming is good fun??
  9. They did some great work, didn't they? What a 3D conversion. How great is it even to be able to tweak the music? Splash Wave on headphones with a stupidly heavy bass is cringy yet amazing at the same time. :awesome: Do you find the unlockable arcade mode easier? I think (for me) the new version has only become a definite complete every run because of the car upgrades you get. Before getting the upgrades it took me a few goes to find my groove - sometimes I was running out of time two or three stages in but this could have been due to messing with the display options. The arcade cabinet is surreal yet a little touch of genius.
  10. When it comes to gifs, I got nothing to respond with. I in turn noticed you were lurking round the eShop last night - thought maybe you were grabbing SMT IV. Code of Princess seems ok. I had a quick look at the online section and it said there were no current lobbies. Might just be us two playing it seeing as Grazza... ...needs to redownload Code of Princess and rebuy Fantasy Life.
  11. Don't suppose anyone is still up for some online antics?
  12. I haven't been interested in this new Smash Bros. game in the slightest, but having read some of the views filtering through with the Japanese release, I'm kind of wanting it. @Hero\-of\-Time tells me theres an impending demo so I'll be checking that out - and hopefully that will remind me this is still the same old game it's always been. They could stick N64 Smash Bros. on the VC (with online...?) and that would do me.
  13. FF 3D Classics makes so much sense it was looking like they were never going to do it!
  14. Your save games are still intact? That's a win right there. : peace:
  15. The region free rumour has since been quashed.
  16. The whole situation is a complete joke - but I'll still be downloading it as soon as it eventually goes live.
  17. I haven't played Tomodachi since the World Cup ended (played it during matches due to its passive gameplay style) but then I haven't really played much at all since then - we did Pokémon TCG when it came onto the VC and I pottered about again in Etrian Odyssey 3 a bit. Tomodachi isn't like Animal Crossing or the Sims gameplay-wise, but I'd put it in that same bracket of game where you make up your own goals and thus motivate yourself to keep playing. Plus, its your own Mii's which gives it an extra personal touch and makes you feel more vested in what madness is happening in their little island lives. If you like open ended games you'll have a great laugh with Tomodachi - I don't regret buying it, you stingy gits.
  18. Tough to think of worst - maybe Fifa International Soccer - but I can think of two of my most disappointing retro games: Forsaken 64 and Conker's Pocket Tales. I was expecting so much more from those two.
  19. So the not so subtle hints were true then. I'm also still pottering about with EO III as well so I might just forget it now, judging by the rate they have started pumping the remakes out. The trailer is one of the best I've seen for any game. What a series this has become.
  20. Enjoying reading the history of who owns what. Interesting to think that early Turok had some influence on Metroid. Wasn't there another, multiplayer only, Turok as well?
  21. Hey man, how's the gaming going these days? Is old Patch keeping well? I've seen him on 3DS some nights but of course theres no chat feature in the friends list.

  22. I've a Gladiator and Hoplite some skill points currently hoarded up. I've gone the Medic route with my Monk and the fire route with my Zodiac. I've the equivalent of a Survivalist but am unsure what to do with them. In EO I it seemed easier to pre-plan what each character was going to specialise in. In this one I read the descriptions of skills and can't seem to commit! My team is basically just fight and heal (no joke) whilst I try to figure the growth trees out.

Hope writing your To Kill a Mockinbird or Breakfast at Tiffany's is going well. Don't forget to take regular breaks to game.
