  1. Everyone dreams 5 times a night- you only remember a few dreams.
  2. Quite possibly... but don't bank on it.
  3. Yeah, I know, I'm just not sure to what degree it was lucid; I think I realised it was a dream about halfway through. Did you know that you're most likely to have a lucid dream the night after you hear about their existence?
  4. Is that a dream, or real life? The weirdest dream I've had was where you had to be permanently tied to your wife with an elastic string, or the priests shot you... that was the same one where I fell miles down a hole in the area to fields below (like from an aeroplane), and later saw an entire family on one bicycle... Edit: I think it was a lucid dream.
  5. It's been pushed back again... to the 25th of September. (US release date)
  6. Damn it, there's always a sci-fi explanation...
  7. According to my dad the language was all wrong as well.
  8. I have now been watching Azumanga Daioh, which is brilliant- generally because of osaka.
  9. Interesting. I'm sceptical without hearing it, especially seeing as "binaural" usually refers to sounds recorded by two microphones in the position of ears, to give a "perfect" stereo experience. Nevertheless, I suppose this is potentially possible, but definitely not unique; I remember hearing that Mozart was composed to be "in tune with your brain rhythms", supposedly by subconcious design. But does "brain rhythms" mean anything, and who understands them enough to compose music to alter them?
  10. It used to be on http://www.outpostnine.com in editorials (by some guy called Azreal) but I think it's temporarily non-existent while he moves it to http://www.gaijinsmash.net.
  11. Anyone who reads "I'm a Japanese School Teacher" on outpostnine will already know about Hard Gay.
  12. Thats why I mentionned gene therapy; it would have to be specific for your DNA or it would be inefficient and/or produce side effects.
  13. Testosterone is a specific chemical with a specific shape- if you changed it, it would no longer be testosterone. Of course, it may be possible to create a chemical with only the effect of increasing aggression, but almost all chemicals have side effects, especially if they are as relatively simple as testosterone. I suppose some kind of gene therapy might have potential to develop such a chemical, but gene therapy has been very unsuccessful in huaman tests. So the simple answer is probably no... but the "sci-fi" answer is yes.
  14. I know what you're talking about... but I like it when that happens; it concentrates me.
  15. Well if I do have an actual phobia, it's not particularly pronounced, perhaps putting in question its status as a phobia. I'm not too keen on cliffs (and sometimes other heights) but I kind of like going near the edge of them anyway... I suppose to prove that I can do it, and for the adrenalin.
  16. Did you have that bastard edexcel double science 2005? I hated that paper so much, not because it was hard, but because it didn't test knowledge! I knew the whole bloody syllabus, then got stupidly easy questions like "Why shouldn't you drink and drive?" Then they marked it crappily as well...
  17. It's definitely a kid's show, but that doesn't mean they don't put jokes in for adults watching. Also, few kids will appreciate the references to the old doctor who's. (I know some of these references screw up continuity etc.)
  18. Do you still have to learn lists of questions? I hated that... As for "what time you should meet"... I haven't done french for a year, so take whatever I say with a pinch of salt but: A quelle heure nous doivent retrouver? Or something like that. Edit: btw, my phrase says "what time should we meet?".
  19. Yeah I knew it was somewhere in the timeline. However, Ed still hasn't come into it yet... should I wait until I watch her introduction episode?
  20. I'm not a maths genius, but I'll try and explain. NB. In all example, I'm rearranging to give y in terms of x i.e. "x=..." Basically, you always have to do the same action to each side of the equation, so it's still equal. Its hard to explain this generally, so for instance with adding and subtracting: x+3 = y+7 so subtract 3 from both sides: x+3-3 = y+7-3 x = y+4 or x-4 = y-2 so add 4 to both sides x-4+4 = y-2+4 x = y+2 With multiples: 3x = 9y so divide both sides by 3 (3x)/3 = (9y)/3 x = 3y With fractions: x/4 = 2y so multiply both sides by 4 (x/4)*4 = 2y*4 x = 8y You may have to carry out several of these processes one after the other: eg. (4+3x)/7 = y 4+3x = 7y (multiply both sides by 7) 3x = 7y-4 (subtract 4 from both sides) x= (7y-4)/3 (divide both sides by 3) If this is too simple or complicated, tell me.
  21. I get so used to it I don't actually realise that I'm reading subs- my brain almost dubs a soundtrack over... Plus I understand some of the Japanese. By the way, can anyone tell me if I should bother waiting and viewing the cowboy bebop movie chronologically (I've only watched the first 5 eps of Bebop) or whether I should just see it anyway?
  22. In my opinion, however good a dub is, you should still watch with subs.
