So it would be: 3x^2*e^(-x^2)? Anyway, thats the right notation (for the chain rule).

Yes, I did write it wrong... I need to differentiate f(3x) with respect to x. And given that you can't find f(x), it's a pretty evil question.

Basically, the question I have to answer is as follows: f '(x)=e^((-x)^2) find f '(3x). I'm aware that it has something to do with setting f(3x) to f(y), and then working out a calculus formula using the chain rule and those limit of delta y over delta x fractions, but I'm don't really know exactly how to proceed. Obviously you can't simply find f(x), as f '(x) can't be integrated, so there must be some side route to do with what I said earlier. Any help?

I think if you install the Japanese typing software as well, then everything will work. I have done this, but I can't remember how to... there are lots of tutorials on the net though.

Yay for Layla! *sings* you got me on my knees *sings* I'd have to say the best sounding instrument is electric guitar. I know I'm jumping on the bandwagon, although a large amount of what I listen to (Gary Moore) is more "pure" guitar than in current music (eg. indie).

Yeah I know, I must have watched it on youtube about 50 times- I'd say it's better than the mai-hime OP. Unfortunately there's no new ED though- the current one is crap- just the same animation the whole way through. Actually, have you seen the mai-hime "specials" on youtube? They're DVD extras that give you more insight into the characters.

That's where you're wrong... after hoovering it didn't work, I finally managed to get the processor cover open (it just needed a wiggle) and I took out the heat sink, airsprayed it, airsprayed the processor and all the fans, removed the thermal grease on the processor, replaced it with new grease, and put everything back together... And now it works as good as new!

Actually for most proteins (ie. those in humans) the tempearture is about 40 degrees. They're fully denatured by 60.

Nah I don't need to buy anything, I can already tell the temperature with my hand- it stops when it reaches about 70 C. Actually, I had a go at hoovering it, but it's no better.
