  1. Yeah, well I'm not watching the anime, so as much as I enjoyed the first 8 volumes of the manga, I don't see any point in buying the remaining ones, when I gave up volume 9 for more interesting things. But you're right in saying it's a brilliant series until then. I might finish reading the manga sometime, but it's on the backburner for the moment.
  2. I didn't stop quite yet... maybe sometime in the early thirties. I felt that it went progressively downhill after... well, you know. Haha, I love sad, or at least bittersweet endings.
  3. Well, I suppose it isn't that disturbing. Anyway, Hikaru no Go is great, and it has the bonus effect of getting people into go, which is always a good thing. I was so pleased when I found something combining two of my interests.
  4. I give you more birthday happiness!
  5. Yes, probably, though I do have one friend who loves the anime, but seems to show no interest in playing the game whatsoever... Anyway, what rank are you DiemetriX? At the moment I'm about 12/13k. And in reply to Gizmo, Bleach has many, many episodes.
  6. Wow, maybe if some people get into Hikaru no Go I can convince them to play go with me.
  7. The trouble with starting a new term is the second day, when the lethargy hits you. I almost couldn't get out of bed this morning.
  8. It's basically about the game of go. The plotline is as follows: a young boy finds a go board haunted with the spirit of a go master, and becomes haunted himself. It's pretty good, though I'm not usually too keen on shounen. You don't have to know about go to enjoy it either- many people got into the game through this anime.
  9. If you haven't yet read the manga, I doubt you'll think the remainder of death note is so amazing. It is nevertheless the second best shounen series I have come across- Hikaru no Go beats it, but that's because I'm obsessed with go.
  10. Haha, fools. Why should I do applied when I can do pure?
  11. That was my point. When I saw the question (on a practice paper, not in an exam) I burst out laughing. Actually, someone in our school did burst out laughing in an exam, S3...
  12. Well, good luck, but don't be too annoyed if you don't get it. Although I applied, my school thought I hadn't, so I didn't end up being a prefect. (mind you, even if they thought I'd applied, I still wouldn't have got the position) I was a bit put out at first, but as time went on, I gradually realised that, at my school at least, there are only disadvantages to being a prefect. You have to do everybody's dirty work, and universities don't appear to give a damn what you are.
  13. AS general studies is an utter joke. I wrote crap and got an easy A. Here are two example questions from the science and maths paper:
  14. My exam timetable is the other extreme... I only have 2 exams not counting critical thinking.
  15. Yes, going back is annoying, for the following reasons: - It's going back to school. - I'm going to be very tired on Monday. - I have a presentation to do first thing. - I haven't finished this presentation yet. On the upside, it's my last ever half term of real school.
  16. This is fairly amusing... I'm waiting for Ashley's reaction.
  17. That's no good- give me Emma Watson's double!
  18. Err... it's not a good idea to eat animals that have been tested on. Would you want to eat an animal pumped full of barely tested drugs?
  19. In my opinion, the major error in judgement that animal rights activists make is that people's live are less important than the lives of animals. Thus they think it's alright to kill people if it will save the lives of animals somewhere down the line.
