True, those clothes are... odd. But then Hikaru is a strange child. I spent the entire series wishing he would fix his two tone hair, but he never does...

Touya always dresses up gay. As for Hikaru, all his shirts are some reference to go, though it may help to know some Japanese, especially that 5 is "go".

In fact Shorty, Hikaru no Go didn't make me like go... I watched it becuase I played go. But yes, it is good, and it does get better. Some of the OPs and EDs are a bit crappy though. Edit: I checked where you are, and the show has barely got going... you will have a lot of fun.

I had a brief look at it on youtube to sample, and thought it was a bit odd. But then I figured that is was Japanese, and ended up watching and loving the entire series.

We've argued about this before... I reckon they should be bigger, but only say, 25kKB. 30 or 40 is a bit much.

That would be because the correct name of the series is actually 舞-HiME, which can be romanised in a variety of ways. Using Hepburn, it comes out as Mai-HiME, which I prefer as it preserves all but one of the puns in the name. However, both Sunrise and the official translation go with My-HiME as the romanisation, which gives the remaining pun.

Er, Lucky Star probably isn't brilliant for a first time anime watcher. My first series was Mai-HiME, that was good.

Shows is generally the way forward with anime... and a lot aren't like English series- more like an absurdly long film split up into 26 or however many episodes.
