Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios
david.dakota replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The fact Disney is prohibited from using its own IP in its flagship park is probably motivation enough for them to make a deal with Universal. Everything has it's price and Disney will make a deal. -
The online portion of the game is playable only between the hours of 2300 and 0600 so that kids can be super protected from swear words after the NSA hacks the gamepad to listen in for terrorists. There is no online until Summer seems to be on the right lines...

Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios
david.dakota replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Fabulous news! Just a thought: with space at Universal Studios Resort is very limited I expect Universal to retheme an area of their resort - likely the Marvel area. Bob Iger, Disney CEO has already said Disneys Hollywood Studios theme park is to have some major investment. It already has a Star Wars simulator ride and it's no big leap to think that they'd want Marvel (along with Star Wars and similar IP) to be a major attraction here. Marvel is unlikely to exist within two competing parks (so close to eachother) so a retheme at Universal is likely and Nintendo characters are a strong enough replacement for Marvel. -
Starfox Unscrewed.

I think digital presentations are the way to go. Personally, whilst I appreciate the overarching Direct i'd like to see daily Directs and Treehouse presentations for individual games, really focus each title and give them some room to breath.

I always assumed we would see a HD version of Xenoblade, not a 3D port. I think I'd have rather a HD version - the game screams out for that extra visual polish. I'd have bought HD but have sat the 3DS version out.

I must say, with the exception on Diddy Kong, mine have been perfect. My biggest complaint remains the terrible supports of Fox, Falcon and Link. Amiibo have been getting better and better, the most recent batch look incredible and Slatoon amiibo sublime (it's still possible they pull a first wave on them though).

Specifically YouTube? That's a bit odd, given that all and sundry now stream.
-
Hopefully Twitch works better than the UStream version. The US also has a YouTube live stream which is flawless, god knows why NOE don't.

I'm sorry to be so frank, but that's bullshit. Which company ensured you carry your content over because it sure the heck wasn't Sony. I think most people are more confident in Nintendo delivering a solution to preservation than Sony. Whether or not that's with current Wii U architecture I can't tell you but whatever is next i'll be playing Super Mario Bros from my Wii/Wii U license which transfers to NX and long into the future. Nintendo respects it's heritage has always attempted to ensure new gamers can play classic titles. On the subject of streaming you've inherent issues which will hinder it's long term progress - issues like latency and video compression will undoubtedly put gamers off (and as we see time and time again, it's thsee core gamers who set the trend; unless you harness that market you're dead in the water). Sadly, no one will be able to solve the issue of latency so I don't believe you'll grab those trend setters. You're over estimating the future of streaming - it will not be a ubiquitous thing and for the foreseeable future it's all Sony. By purchasing Gaikai AND OnLive they've assured they have a streaming future but locked others out - do remember significant cloud gaming patents were held by Onlive. A strategy Nintendo will not adopt is paying a competitor royalties, except in essential circumstances. Not going to happen. My views out of the way, I cannot believe we're discussing the best way to deliver classic titles. I'm sure this saying refers to a bow being a musical instrument. You're adding more strings to your bow to create a greater range of notes and therefore more beautiful piece of music. You've played too much Zelda

@Wii, yup being sarcastic. Regardless of that find, which could be for a forthcoming shovelware or other peice of nonsense the new COD was never, ever going to grace Wii U.
-
An enjoyable romp (in a daft, silly, over-the-top way) but interspersed with god-damn awful combat. There a great game in there... Somewhere.

Konami delists itself from the NY stock exchange. No idea what this means. http://www.konami.co.jp/zaimu/2015/0427/en_aa7e9c.pdf

The most surprising thing about this is that @Wii took time out of his day to post this! Also (at the time, and location of writing) tomorrow is Monday!

This is not the game that needs background uploads. As discussed I these levels won't be too big, but Mario Kart TV is painfully slow to upload, after rendering the video it should upload during sleep mode.
-
I don't think it's that fast but I'm not sure it suits Mario Kart. Maybe if it were toned down a little? Is not really the additional mode I want, I'd rather they added...

Because Xenoblade won't take June, July, August, September to fully complete! May is unlikely, i think they'll want to give Splatoon some breathing space, maybe June. Sooner the better in my book.

I'm.... In.

Jigglypuff and Greninja were sold out yesterday within 7 minutes. Madness.

You're running the risk of sounding a bit petty minded about this. We do get it, you're passionately disappointed and you are laser-focussed on expressing that disappointment to anyone who'll react but I do think it's time to move your argument on. Is there something new you'd like to say about Splatoon?

I can't fathom why stock is always so limited in the Nintendo store. Should anyone want my disk copy, let me know - ill knock a few quid off. I've only bought the special edition for the Inkling Squid, getting the game digitally.

Not £12 worth of awesome, @Serebii.
-
Or, more accurately, your found a gave which you've not had to badger her into loving Almost too similar... Especially when we all spent £12 on Dr Luigi.
-
The Apollo programme cost $110bn in today's money...
-
That's a really surprising result. I thought there were more than 8 knobs here? Come on guys, its a disappointment for sure. But this is big new IP, it looks great fun and that's why you should give it a go. For those who, like me, want voice chat we'll find some cumbersome way to communicate but the lack of chat is not a reason to boycott this game. Having scenes of beastiality would be. Perspective, please.
