Mario & Luigi: Brothership (7th November 2024)
Hero-of-Time replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Nintendo UK store has a couple of pre-orders up. First comes with a lovely steelbook. Steelbook The other comes with some stamps and tag. Stamps and Tag -
Amazing game. Loved it to bits. It's one of those where I would love to forget what happened so I could play it again. Problem with these types of games is the impact is lost once you've played them the once.

Too many. I've got MH Stories 2, Digimon Survive (more of a VN, really), Granblue Fantasy, Unicorn Overlord, Trails of Zero, Final Fantasy Pixel Collection and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. Not too fussed about MH Stories 2 as I only finished the first a couple of months back. There's really only November and start of December left to play these before the end of the year because October is my spooky game month. Yeah...

Looks like Atlus delivered again. I'll probably pick this up just before Christmas. Got a few weeks booked off from work over the festive period and so it will give me time to dig into it. That's providing I've got through the other JRPGs sat in my backlog. This year has been insane for releases.

Bakeru (Totally not Goemon) (3rd September 2024)
Hero-of-Time replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Awesome...unless its LRG who are handling it. -
Hopefully it's half the length of the original. The thing just dragged on and on. Easily one of the most overhyped games from last gen that I played.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (26th September 2024)

Sad to say that if you aren't feeling the combat now then I'll be very surprised if you feel any different later on. -
The only one I can think of is maybe new Monster Hunter. It's been 4 years since Rise was released. Saying that, Capcom may not want to promote 2 MH games at the same time.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (26th September 2024)

Given how many seem to miss it, I just don't think it's telegraphed that well. -
Amazing work, @EEVILMURRAY. I used to work with a lad who was well into the 40k universe. He loved the lore of it all and some of the pieces he painted and showed me were amazing. He used to sell some of them online and take requests/orders for custom pieces. I've not played or painted since my teen years. Used to love picking up the latest issue of White Dwarf and looking at all the latest sets and paint jobs.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (26th September 2024)

It's crazy how many people didn't think of doing what you are supposed to do (as Glen pointed out) and as such the battle seemed like a passive experience. I used Tri a stupid amount of times when I played the game and so it was second nature to me but it seems a lot of players forgot all about it during that fight. The combat is pretty much like that throughout the game. You can attack on your own for a limited time but for the most part you let the Echoes do the fighting. -
Yakuza series. Loved each and every one of them but have never earned the platinum on all of them, which is a rare thing for me not to do. I would love to go through them all again but the time sink would be huge and the 100% completion list + Legend play through is an absolute grind. The Mass Effect trilogy is another I would love to revisit. The trilogy release on PS4 has been sat on my shelf for years but I just can't bring myself to play them due to the length and the possibility of how janky they are. The first game wasn't exactly a smooth experience back in the 360 days. To be honest, I would like to revisit a lot of games but there are that many new releases to get through, it's getting harder to do so. Not to mention a lot of games are a lot longer than they used to be, making repeat playthroughs harder to stomach. So, for me, it's not so much the lack of desire or fear of the game not hold up, but rather time.

Me and a mate of mine were having a conversation about this game the other week on the way to work due to the rumours of the remastered version popping up. We both didn't care for the game back when it released and we both think even less of it now. Every point you made @Julius is spot on to our own thoughts. I think the game would had been far better had it been more liner but then the comparisons to TLOU would have been made even more. Ultimately, it's a game that didn't really need to be made. Sony had their zombie/post apocalyptic game and didn't really need another in a similar setting.

Love the box art for the PS5 version. It matches up nicely with the sequel. Reminds me of TLOU PS5 box arts.

Nintendo Museum – opening 2nd October 2024!

Scalpers are the worst but some of this is on Nintendo. I mentioned this in the PS5 thread in relation to the 30th anniversary products but what do companies expect when they limit products from their fan base? This kind of merchandise should be made for the global audience. Having stuff like this available everywhere would instantly stop scalpers. -

Yeah, I played it last year and really enjoyed it. One of the better VN type games. -

This was a nice surprise. I wasn't planning on playing this during my October/Halloween gaming month but the patch for the broken trophies dropped yesterday afternoon. This meant I could finally finish the game, which I done this evening. The Garlic Paradise adventure mode wasn't too difficult but I struggled more than I should with World of Light and Dark. The game just wouldn't give me the drops I needed and I was always too weak when the later rounds came around. I decided to drop my weapons from 6 to 4, meaning they would level up quicker. This worked a treat. All done!

I remember struggling with the structure when I first played it. I'm sure I found the missions far too long. I think it won me over in the end. Like Pikmin, the 3rd game is by far my favourite.
-
Something similar should have been implemented over here. People with the most platinum trophies should have been first in the queue.
-
Sod all from that list. Final Fantasy Pixel Collection is getting bought though. I've got a bunch of October/Halloween games planned and so everything else is taking a back seat.
-
Yeah, it's a definite time sink. I still go back and forth as to whether I enjoyed it or not. Pikmin 3 is still my favourite though.

Looks like the recent Siren trademark is for an updated version, most likely for PS+. I wonder if they'll release it this month in time for the spooky season? -
Yeah, I've got this lined up to play this month as well. Totally agree with your Pikmin icon comment. It irritated me to no end every time it put it on my home screen. Had a similar issue on my PS5 with the Tomb Raider collection where you would play the first game but it would add the trophy list for all of them. I had to keep deleting them every time I played the thing. Yeah, the Pikmin games have come a long way since the original but I appreciate how snappy the first game is, especially considering how bloated Pikmin 4 was.
