  1. Had a few nice games with Cooky and Choze although I don't think the mics worked well on it. Got better towards the end though, had to eat my fi and chi though. Ah well, at least I have convinced a couple of people to try out the brilliant reggae reggae sauce.

    Killzone 2

Just got in on time. Didn't manage to help though, almost won the body count but we were outnumbered and they spammed the shotgun/turrets so it was pretty hard.
  3. Resistance 2 is still my overall favourite online game. You may remember a few weeks back I was gutted with the loss of my online skills on this, well the news of DLC made me play it just then and I somehow I found all the know-how again. It was a tad laggy but I came first in a team deathmatch with 36 kills. 10 ahead of 2nd place. I don't know if it is this that makes the online mode seem more fun to me but there's something about it which nails pretty much every aspect. Almost every game on it I end up finishing, it is always fun and engaging - it's brilliant. KZ2 is also great, it's just I always find with Resistance that it is more enjoyable.
  4. ^ That's awesome news, may have to buy it and get back into it. I always thought the co-op competitive mode was brilliant, so I guess it's cool news that you can do the PSN on one system thing, although I won't be needing it.
  5. Okay I'm going to gym now, should be back in a couple of hours, have a shower and then be ready for 8:00. Good good.

Black and white? Literally or metaphorically?

    inFAMOUS

New article on IGN revealed that this will have a karma system, which has become a bit of a cliche now (ala Fallout and Fable). Still, the new screens look awesome and the powers are becoming a bit more varied. http://uk.media.ps3.ign.com/media/800/800208/imgs_1.html Cba to post screens but they look brilliant.
  8. Might have to dig out the PS2 from the attick because someone is letting me borrow Substinence. Only one on the consoles I haven't played.

    Killzone 2

I was busy during that match and everyone else was trying to sleep so I didn't do a whole lot.
  10. Is it any good?
  11. Good good, haven't played in a while but it's not really something you lose touch with. If you stop playing a shooting game, you lose the controls and with it the will to play.
  12. So anyone for Motorstorm tomorrow? I'll be on in the evening after gym, so stick around and I should be there.
  13. Hmmm strange move, for me I don't like too much gore.
  14. ^^ That's actually a ruddy good point. Unless she was heavily raising awareness of the condition she should have been doing more meaningful things. And Dan Dare is right also.

    GDC 2009

^ Thing is inside you will kind of believe there may be something so you will most likely be slightly disappointed Happens with me when I say to myself I won't be disappointed if a package doesn't come through the post because it isn't likely to arrive soon, when it doesn't arrive I become slightly upset lol.
  16. Sometimes you have to wonder though, because some of the stuff he comes out with is so funny that it has to be an act, which is no offense btw.

    Killzone 2

Had a shit weekend of no Internet, for some reason our wireless box decided to be a bitch. Took us 3 hours from 8:30pm to 11:30pm to get the damn thing working - it involved the use of 3 laptops, hundreds of repetitions and pages not loading and various other crap - when we finally got there. Anyway, would have liked to have joined you all.
  18. Had a 3 hour bash on this when I went over to a friends house. It was pretty awesome, reminiscent of RE4 and co-op terror/tension is brilliant.
  19. Haha I knew after I wrote that I would be questioned. Look, when I was talking about linearity (is that a word?) I was thinking about Motorstorm where you have huge variations in track height, width and paths intervene with vast gulfs between them. Burnout has SSX like tracks where there are a few variations in tracks but will after a short while will get you in the same place as everywhere else. As for big cars - yes on some parts you can fit 4 cars in a row but it always feels narrow - It's like there's an open road where you can't actually go to all of it - it's cordened off. With most racing games you can go where you see even if it means falling off or skidding out - with this you are strictly caged in by the gates and fences. In this point I wasn't really talking about the proportion between man>car, more car>man I think this is my main quibble; with the cars you are more or less just constantly accelerating without need for vast drifts or movements - It feels more like reaction tests in turning left and right past oncoming pillars and traffic more than feeling in control of the car - it's not really anything like driving a car. I've probably just caused more damage but I think I explained myself a bit clearer. Thing is I can understand problems with what I have said I just can't really express it in a way that makes sense.
  20. Cooky you are damn good at advertising. I will find it cheap on eBay.

    Killzone 2

I think online shooters work only when you invest time into them. It just isn't fun when you are getting killed all the time and you don't have any of the abilities of others. Resistance 2 was the first FPS game that I got into properly and I loved it. I used to think that campaigns in games were the biggest focus but 50% of the time it's about the online.
  22. I don't like Burnout, which is weird because I like Wipeout. I just think that the tracks are too linear, which sounds daft when the game is compared to Wipeout. Basically driving big cars on narrow tracks with relatively little freedom isn't my thing. It all seems a bit too simple for some reason. Don't really know if I phrased it right. Racers like GT I like because it is more about the skill in the driving and drifting rather than seeing who can crunch who.

    Killzone 2

You don't know Choze enough lol. And I wasn't talking to you because you didn't really slate the game, although if you did like FPSs a bit more and played the online mode instead of the campaign I think you may have enjoyed it more.
  24. The only thing interesting I saw on the store was Socom for £19.99. Just mulling over whether it would work well as a downloadable title. Thing is I will have to get the official headset somewhen, but I don't want to spend £30 in one go. Not interested in the KZ LBP add on because a) I haven't had the will to play LBP since losing save data b) KZ2 characters aren't that special other than the slightly iconic Helghast mask.

    Killzone 2

Yeah and Playstation in general for that matter. It's the way he is though on this forum - The only thing I say is that you shouldn't slate the game if you haven't played it - If you think Cod is better then fair do's, and you aren't missing out if you don't like it. I really like it, however I think there needs to be more maps, maybe larger ones that DONT allow camping. I think KZ2 is better with more individual battles instead of costant grenade lobbing at doorways. So far I have had more fun on Resistance, but I think this could beat it eventually somehow. I dunno.
