I think this game sums up the PS3: There's only been a few generations of consoles, and competitors change, whilst there's only ever 2 or 3 competitors at a time so I wouldn't say respect is due in the way you mention. The sales themselves are mightily impressive though, they struck gold with the Wii, that's all that really matters. They found the market by trying something different.

Although I haven't played Wind Waker, I have seen a lot of it. So from 'Some things you...' and onwards in your post I have to say I share it with or agree with you. -
The semi automatic sniper rifle in this game is pretty insane. If you just stop on the map for a few seconds, scope and aim around the place mashing the select button, you can spot people so that they appear on everyone's radar - like any other weapon (though it's more effective with snipers), then you just have to get 3 or 4 shots of the 5/6 bullet clip for a kill and it's pretty damn easy. Partly because of the speed the recoil resets back to the neutral position, but also because most players have already incurred damage or are getting shot at because you marked them. Also, had a nice little UAV run earlier. They are unbeatable by the chopper thing that you can pilot. It's ridiculous because it's way faster, easier to control, has the ability to keep firing the machine gun and is a much smaller target than the chopper. So I just took one chopper down with the machine gun, got a few infantry peeps by flying low behind them. Then there's a tank on low health which I missile for a couple of hundred points. Finally the UAV is coming close to exploding, there's a guy shooting at me, I pump so much machine gun ammo into him I don't know how he hasn't gone down. A chopper spawns next to him and I telepathically urge him to get in (to be fair it was his last ditch to survive the fiasco) and he obliges to my delight, tries to get the propellers spinning but my missile literally just finished reloading and so I blew him to hell.

Anyone know of any good commentary/tip/good videos of FPS gameplay on Youtube? I've seen a few, enjoy watching stuff like the top 5 plays in MW2, along with OnlyuseMEblade or whatever he's called. I can see why people find him annoying but watching people getting streaks and using cool tactics is somehow theraputic. I even find myself watching that Ken Burton bloke. He's a tit, always moans, is rubbish at the game, but I just find myself hooked on watching a series of his clips for some reason.

Yeah it can be annoying that there is no way of laying flat, but then I don't main the sniper class. I'll add you, me and TheLillster are playing now if you want a game.

It depends if you want to keep lots of music, videos and indeed buy games like MGS4/GT that have hefty file sizes. You'd be surprised how quickly it fills up once you've bought a few games.

You'd still buy it. (Obviously, this isn't a dig) I really want to see a large chunk of gameplay for this. If they actually do make it a difficult game I might even have to buy it for a friend.

According to Gametrailers the large SVER defense map is almost impenetrable, so stop thinking your faction is all solid yo.
