  1. Can I just say that I didn't like the game and leave it at that? I played it for around an hour, and just generally didn't enjoy it much. The shooting mechanics in these Rockstar games suck balls honestly.
  2. Those are the sort of meh games I would consider If I was loaded. Yes I'm saying RD:R is meh, even though I originally thought it looked promising. The truth is, I can't be assed with a game like that, and what I played of felt a lot like GTA. Not exactly my cup of tea really.

  8. Sorry what's the point behind this exactly, and what are you trying to make it look like? Otherwise feedback is quite hard to give. If I were to improve it, I'd do what Cube said- get rid of the shadow lighting and make the text attached to the grey box. Then I'd just make sure the grey box had a more realistic, stony effect. Finally change the font filling to something also a bit less... shit? Currently it looks like an 80s contour map/computer graphics thing they'd use for mountains. Just make it look cooler I guess, but keep it somewhat cartoony. I like the rust and painty blood stuff.

  11. Only played a demo of Echochrome, incidentally on Home of all places. Just one of the arcade machines had a survival mode on it. Obviously that doesn't really represent the game, but from what I could tell it didn't seem very exciting. Echoshift took the series away from the weird 3D perspective thing and made it a cool 2D puzzle game (well, almost 2D, there was a bit of 'depth' movement). But yeah, ii doesn't really show the move can do anything other than be used as a pointer. I guess an easy mode in the game would enable the controller's bulb to change colour when you're close to finding a shape/path. We'll see.
  12. Well that was what I was thinking the next console would do, we'd have a futuristic XMB that would phase out into Home at a button press, so you could flick between the two. Then you could just leave your pad and join friends in a party, or perhaps travel with each other to a space, where you can sign up to special tournaments and then take part in the game. All without load screens, or very few of them. As for Resistance 3 - give me a screenshot already! That retailer description is just presumptive bullshit, and I know it's going to come out, just prove something is being done on it Insomniac you teasing bunch of geeks. I just hope they've spent enough dev time on it, what with all the pointless R&C updates they do.

  14. Hmmm, I just felt that a lot of the time was spent wondering whether or not I had killed enough/ the right people in order to get through to the next bit. Plus some sections seemed a bit trial and error before you realised what things you had to focus on in order to pass. Like one of the last bits where you basically just have to fun forward, but I thought I'd try and take out a couple of people on my path and behind chasing me, because it seemed that I was required to do so. Also, I made big edit to my last post. You will really want to read it or something.
  15. I only really asked because there's at least a couple more other artists, I think (you'll have to check up on that one), that also exist. Just saying, there could very possibly have been other choices before a repeat after just 50 odd pairings. As I said though, verification will be needed, otherwise proceed as usual.

  18. Reading that msn part actually hit me a fair bit. I'm really quite sorry for you Raining, I really am... I know comfort can seem far from home, but us, we here fish in this distant bowl, up in space, we genuinely feel for you. And we're much more real and closer than you think. As for Dante, you be good at your news posting buddy. Hopefully one day you will find that glimmer of light that every depressed person wishes to find. You'd be surprised how many people feel lonely, and there's a good few here that are. Myself included from time to time. It fluctuates really. --- If there still was a HWYD, I was thinking of moaning slightly about not winning more than 6 quid at a poker night tonight. What an insignificant twat like thing that would've been. Burn me.
  19. Colour me impressed. That extra dimension of control could mean all the difference. The only question is, can developers meet the Move's potential?
  20. Just completed the campaign, did it on Hardened for the Gold trophy. 95% of the campaign was a chore, I was just waiting for the thing to end. Plus, the amount of times you will almost certainly die first time is ridiculous, some bits are 'wtf' and take mutliple tries and it can get very frustrating. Meh. Edit to save the triple post thanks for Jay/Oxy/S-C/arbitrary member for hyping the Tar. Added the old silencer, obviously, and found that it's amazing without stopping power today. I just think it's a quality gun, kinda like the ACR but more badass and the fire rate is incredible. The only downside is the ammo consumption, so therefore I put on scavenger. By creating this deathchild I came up with this class that is wholesomely made of win: Tar - Silenced Thumper (I went there) Semtex & Smk Grenade (whatever sec.grenade you prefer) Scavenger, Cold-Blooded, Commando Pro. It is triumph-ful. You could replace the ol' thumper with a foregrip SPAS but whatever, the scavenger makes this amazingly fun, being able to tube and nade at will, you get so many kills from them, just great for clearing stuff out and testing areas/getting random or hopeful kills. Also, use the UAV. I don't care if it seems like a waste of a streak, it's fun having it there, and getting standard kills is more fun than air support +100s.
