  1. Ah-ha, 2-1 over the Ashmat Rangers, and a convincing one too, putting me top of the runners up. Wasn't expecting to do quite so well. A very profitable week.
  2. No you didn't, you betrayed Lennin and his principles, and subjugated Russia to a horrific and unjust theocracy that made the rule of the Tzars look like a Democratic-Welfare state. Boo, boo I say sir.
  3. 1. Super Smash Bros Brawl 2. Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 2 4. Mass Effect 3 5. Zak and Wiki
  4. In the Stigs home dimension, wild animals have wheels instead of feet and romances are conducted with wheel-to-wheel derby's of death. Without the hive mind to turn to, it's not surprising Stig and his few cousins who also ended up on Earth sometimes struggle with aspects of our native, fleshy, society.
  5. Not up to much, tidied my flat a bit. It's amazing what just a little organisation and ten minutes with the vacuum can do, it really is.
  6. Immigrants performing mundane and dangerous tasks for low pay that no one else would accept? Who would have thunk it.
  7. Well, we're spreading the word to the young'ns. Also, celebrating a famous poet and artist by reading a book by his his best friend does seem like a bit of a slap in the face.
  8. Spent the day helping out at a writing/William Blake workshop (It's his 250th birthday soon) for some school kids. Not a bad bunch at all, quite a few characters. They were aged 11-14, but some of looked bizarrely younger and older. One 14 year old looked about 20-odd, while one 11 year old girl looked something closer to about 6.
  9. Doh, you can't say that and not go into details. It's against the rules!
  10. You'll want to chuck a bigger PSU on there too. Skimping on a PSU is like not eating to save money.
  11. Something similar happened to me couple of days ago - walked in to find three red lights blinking away. Mercifully the ethernet cable had merely become unplugged while downloading a demo. Phew.
  12. We'll need to hire a hovercraft to make our getaway though, so you might want to stop by a few other houses to make it worth our while. I'll borrow some evil henchmen from a friend of mine, lovely chap, lives in a volcano. Pick up some fish and chips while we're there too. You know, make a day of it, then head back to my mates place. Be a right laugh.
  13. Yay, my maiden victory. A little overdue but what a victory - two goals down, then three goals in the last half hour. What a come back.
  14. Why wouldn't you want to be Samus though? She's an ass kicking intergalactic super-warrior who still finds time to properly rinse and condition.
  15. Lemme guess... Weighted Companion Cube? L Block?
  16. *Starts googling contents insurance.*
  17. We will have to pay, at least at first. I remember when the first Gears maps came out, Epic wanted to give them away and had to fight Micro$oft tooth and nail for it. Eventually they charged for them for a couple of months then dropped the price tag.
  18. Damn, just really bad luck there. Sounds like you got done by pros with the gloves and lock pick and everything. Your probably not the first, or the last. Just gotta hope for the best that the cops manage to nab the bastards.
  19. Aliens has much more immediate entertainment value, the sort of action flick you can take your girl too scare the bejesus out of her while practising the ancient and mysterious seduction art of "Knob in Popcorn". Alien meanwhile is probably about as artistic as mainstream film will ever get, Scott's mastery of the Fear Of The Unknown that resides deep within the human psyche almost unparalleled. The remaining two are decent enough, but nowhere near the same league. At any rate, both Alien and Aliens are must see films and are quite rightly celebrated by people of all cultures as masterpieces of western cinema.
  20. I used to find that I'd have a good idea, but no other good ideas to make a full piece out of it. What I do now is that I type that image or line or even a single word down, the one thing that does interest me, and often other ideas will follow from that. I rarely write anything from the first line any more, as some of the related ideas tend to fit better further up then further down.
  21. Nearly finished a poem. Three stanzas down, I just need one more stanza, an opening stanza, to open up into the subject. Unfortunately inspiration doesn't come easy at ten to three in the morning. I don't even have to do this, but I started writing it and by gum I'm going to finish it.
  22. I'm genuinely confused as to why I'm not more excited by this. I like knights and medieval crusades, I like free roaming environments, I like graphics that melt eyeballs with it's epic cityscapes. My head screams for it but my heart doesn't care to give it a second glance. Mind you, it doesn't help that my heart has been captured by a starship trooper. A turian one at that.
