  1. Poetry. Beer. Some more poetry. Some more beer. Then a Chinese take out. I am very full and happy.
  2. My No. 1 has to be Heatseeker. There are better Wii games, but I'm madly in love with it's control scheme, which is just utterly sublime. Smooth and fluid, you feel in control of a machine that's engaged with an element. In his case, air.
  3. Bad. Very, very bad. If you download a lot they might be throttling your speed because you went over your monthly download limit, but otherwise that's just poor, even at peak time.
  4. 17's kind of that age when you're still trying to find your power and grapple with who you are and what you like, what you'll do and where you want to go, if anywhere. When you do, that's when you really start to find people who like to do what you do and go where you go, because that's where you'll find them. And they'll find you.
  5. Wow, I'm glad I'm not in your position, Diemetrix. Really, I really feel for you. All these beautiful single women, trying to have sex with you all the time. That's... that's, uh... um... yeah. Cause' you know, that's something I totally empathise with. Totally happens all the time. To me. Totally.
  6. How could I refuse?
  7. Phew, finally finished (on heroic, anyway) None of the story made a lot of sense, there's no stable difficulty curve, AI seems a bit drunk and the final boss battle was farcical at best. On the plus side there are some nice set pieces and some entertaining levels, the vehicle combat is still engaging and the whole thing is technically and visually very well polished. Still, I get the impression that the campaign feels somewhat half finished, with humanity's last stand never really materialising as advertised. What happened to all the invading Covenant on Earth anyway?
  8. I was feeling bushed after college so I napped for a couple of hours earlier. Now my sleeping pattern's all messed up.
  9. If everyone is cast as a popular character (Snake, Chief, Mario, Weighted Companion Cube, Generic Nazi) it might be an interesting extra wodge of character role play in the mix.
  10. Don't stifle my dreams...
  11. It would be like Who Framed Roger Rabbit with Nintendo characters.
  12. How about Pokemon? Team Rocket, the Cops, trainers, centre attendants, shop keepers, Gym masters, all the usual suspects.
  13. Sign me up. I'm tempted to suggest something like a WH40k theme, (Space marines, daemons, Inquisition, Orks ect.) but I that could be hard to organise unless you're up on the source material. Following on from the F1 scandals, how about some kind of sports themed game. Football or horse racing or something, where mysterious figures with vested interests in some of the local teams (a.k.a. Money) are out and about amongst the players/jockeys/drivers/curlers muderising their enemies. Failing that, Pirates V Ninjas. Lets settle this bitch once and for all.
  14. Tip to anyone playing Forza - for the love of god, never, ever turbo charge a FWD without genuinely massive handling upgrades. Otherwise it's like trying to control a raging elephant with dental floss.
  15. Bah, yet another defeat away. At least it wasn't another 6-goal drubbing. I'd better have better luck at home, or things won't be looking good. Unless I score a couple of big victories that nasty goal difference is going haunt me later.
  16. Take my advice and invest in a Twister set instead. You'll never look back. Anyway, I felt oddly tired today, and I desperately need to take a stroll to the recycling dump. All these Guardian news papers all over the place are starting to resemble David Camerons worst nightmare. What can I say, I adore Charlie Brooker.
  17. I agree with Aimless up thar. Why not just save themselves the time, money and effort and just air the originals in the mainstream, and be happy with it? Simon Pegg is a rising brand name in the states, what the hell do they have to loose? The original deserves to be seen by as many people as possible.
  18. Yes, but now she'll be able to show up all those bastard Yankee white bread 50 Cent wanabes by serving them while playing Halo.
  19. If you haven't, I definitely recommend the original Longest Journey. Some of the graphics haven't aged very well, but it's so brilliantly magical you just won't give a damn. You can get it on Steam for about a fiver.
  20. Howls Moving Castle. Also, Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
  21. I wouldn't mind being immortal. I'd be just to damn curious to see where the world might go.
  22. Been watching the Mass effect vids again. I think I may have to deny myself it's glories until at least the New Year though. Money isn't tight as per say, but I'd still like to suckle most of what I can out of my recently acquired selection first.
  23. There's loads of fireworks being launched from peoples back yards around here tonight. They've been going off almost constantly for the last couple of hours. Popped down to the shops, it was like walking through south central Baghdad.
  24. Dear god, I simply loathe this level where you're crawling around inside the Flood/Gravemind/Covenant Ship thing. Everything looks the same so you have no idea where you're going, and the wall hangers keep blowing me away from a distance while I'm too busy defending myself against the ground troops. There doesn't seem to be any sort of difficulty curve. The previous couple of levels I could have done in my sleep (unhelpful allies not withstanding), while the first three levels or so kicked my ass up and down the room until my cheeks had polished the floor to a mirror shine.
  25. Actually, the majority rarely do. Hollywood is just run by phenomenal idiots. Titanic very nearly never got made because producers felt that audiences didn't want to "see a film set on water." Apparently worldwide revenue for Hollywood productions are down 27% this year. Some have blamed the "Halo 3" effect attracting audiences elsewhere. Just about everyone else blames the complete drek they keep shovelling out.
