Nope, that's new. And very moist making.

The last thing I actually remember before the wave hit was you starting a thread about revitalizing the Astley phenomenon. Careful for what you wish for.

You're going on your first hunting trip? I hope your probably schooled in how to handle your weapon before you fire off your load. Make sure you don't get lost in the bush either. I assume you'll be using a pump action?

Female fashions terrify me. You keep waving at random chicks in the street thinking it's someone you know, and then you realize that every 20-something female in town looks exactly the bloody same. I keep thinking we're under attack by an army of clones.

Should Scotland separate from the United Kingdom?
gaggle64 replied to navarre's topic in General Chit Chat
I'm actually quite supportive of Scottish Independence. I mean, it's really their decision anyway, and at least I'll have somewhere to claim asylum when England votes Torie. I also don't buy into this vague idea that the whole island will rapidly descend into a cross between the cold war and the Jacobite revolution if Scotland decides to go it's own way. -
I second this emotion.

Yah, Magnolia's a pretty excellent film. If was to make one single exception though, it would probably be Belle Ville Rendezvous.

Having watched There Will be Blood, I really don't see any point in watching any other film ever again.

I thought it was because you're very popular with lonely housewives who are often unsatisfied with their man?

I was just saying to myself a couple of nights ago while staring at the endless rain that at least we can say this summer was an improvement, in as much no body actually drowned in their own home. Then I turned on the telly to find a picture of car submerged underwater on the Belfast motorway. I'm going to stop saying things, just in case.

Apparently this is GBs best Olympic performance since 1920. Jolly good.

I thought it was fairly average and frothy entertainment myself.

I saw it too. Bloody hell, a clear world record and didn't even look like he was trying. And I thought Addlington's absolute domination of the 800m freestyle was amazing, but that 100m is surely the highlight of the olympics. Watched the cycling and rowing highlights too, excellent day for team GB. Can't wait for the sailing and rest of the rowing finals.

I have sort of half a one, but I'm not entirely sure she counts. This fiesty red head chick I knew in high school, for some reason we ended up walking to and from school together often. Unfortunately school itself kept me all mixed up until after I left, so I never developed the sense to act on it (or anything similar) until long after I'd left school. Sometimes I see her around town, and when she sees me she still recognises me and says hi. I don't long for her really, but she was pretty nice and totally my type. I just wonder sometimes, y'know?

Over the Easter hols I did. They didn't notice though, they just nicked any clean cutlery that was around (mine, in other words) and then exclusively ate takeout when that ran out. Came back to find piles (literally piles) of rotting Chinese food everywhere. Interestingly enough in relation to Letty's tale, the only respite I ever got was when their girlfriends occasionally came round and cleaned up after them.

Letty's story reminds me of my flatmates a couple of years ago. I honestly feel I've have had first hand experience of Olympic-level slovenliness.

They're already sliding up and down poles and doing splits in tights.

I've been watching the gymnastics highlights too. I was just sitting there, shouting "Oh come on now." I swear they're not human, they're a race of humanoid spider monkeys from the moon.

If it's a proper made-for-wii game, that's great stuff. We don't mind existing series, it's just straight ports that tend towards the problematic.

Samba de Amigo. I'm sure there are others, but I wants my marraca monkey.

Artistic value: objective or subjective
gaggle64 replied to Oxigen_Waste's topic in General Chit Chat
Art and your opinion of it is purely subjective. That's why it's art, and not a steamship or a pair of binoculars or something. -
The details are long, dull, and probably don't even affect me, but I'd still like to put this out there - British Gas are cockmunchers.

Had an odd one last night. I dreamt I took some kind of hallucengenic drug, and then woke up to what appeard to be my normal every day life. Then lights started flashing, lots of random objects started appearing, everything skewed, and changed shape and colour, and then I woke up again, in a rehab centre run by friendly clones in the south of England.

Glancing over the last couple of pages, it's amazing how Hollywood is still so able to hunt down absolutely anything that might have money in it and then run it completely into the ground. Just look at the historical/fantasy genre. Gladiator made money and then *bam* - like a train load of Marines just back on leave crashing into a hoar house.
