Wowsers, apprently they're gonna look at expanding the grid to a maximum 14 teams. I'm trying to picture 28 cars in the chase for the first corner. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8256295.stm And Canada confirmed for 2010. Whooo!

The Fountain Hugh Jackman goes beautifully crazy ass, Mayan-Space Buddha style. I think. I'm not entirely sure what was going on there but somehow I just don't care. It was awesome. Solving cancer, saving Spain and exploring space. Who says men can't multitask?

WB Restructures DC Comics As DC Entertainment
gaggle64 replied to Dante's topic in General Chit Chat
Edit it down ffs. We only need a snippit of everything you posted there to get a discussion going. If we want the full article we'll find it ourselves. We don't need every arsing detail of DC's business strategem, just the basic facts. And why did you post the resignation letter? Why do we need to read that? I shouldn't have to scale to the upper reaches of Text Mountain just discuss comic books on video game forum. -

You don't feel like knocking that down to the bare essentials Dante old bean? -
Oh superb, because I don't spend enough time feeling unattractive and lonely from happy beautiful couples being rubbed into my face (sometimes literally if the bus is busy enough) in the real world. Seriously though, congrats to the both of you. ^___^

So far, things are looking generally good for some of my earlier predictions. Off the top of my head: Toyota and Trulli are at loggerheads, Hulkenberg looks good for Williams with Rosberg hinting heavily towards McLaren. Heaven only knows though where Kubica and Heidfeld could end up, and Raikkonnen if he does indeed leave with a big payoff but chooses to stay in F1 (which he seems to be hinting is his goal). All three could end up anywhere on the grid from Brawn to the new boys. Nakajima could be gone too with Willaims splitting from Toyota. Heikki could end up back at Renault (assuming they're still here next year after this whole Singapore wing-ding.) I think it's 50-50 if Barrichello will be here next year - Brawn seem favorable to keeping him but if they end up with someone like Kubica kicking around their lobby... Also my bet is Sauber will survive in some form, there seem to be people with a lot of money sniffing around.

Your Favourite Place...In The Wooooorld
gaggle64 replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
I can remember back in my childhood home, before my parents finally divorced: We had a large garage to shelter the car in the harsh Highland winters and right at the back there was a plain wooden door. The wood was quite flimsy and the lock was cheap and stiff. Every now and again, when my parents to stretch their legs somewhere rather then the old quarry and the lake just down the road, we would go there. It was a mysterious place. A large field of heather strewn and flanked with trees that stood stiff against the wind, it was always still, silent, untouched and unruffled by both man and nature. Except us. The heather blazed purple, rabbits dodging here and there amongst the low hanging branches while our dogs would charge clumsily after them. Eventually the inevitable happened and one of our dogs speared herself on a stick jutting our from the roots and had to be rushed to the vet, eight miles by narrow country lanes to the nearest town. My parents, ever the animal lovers, locked the door and we stuck to the quarry for our family walks from then on. -

Me and Martinist went for a pleasant dally around the pubs. Where are the women around here though? I mean honestly, as far as I can tell the entire SW of Scotland must reproduce asexually, like frogs. It's the only explanation.

Phew, a narrow win (at home too) but I'll take it. There may only be Me, Dyson and possibly Haden in the hunt but those other teams aren't likely to just roll over. It's neck & neck between me and Dyson as I see it right now, but we'll see how things stand after the halfway point.

I think I'm going to have obsessing about the weight of people we don't know registered as disability. It's clearly endemic. If only people had the willpower to stop themselves doing it.

Let them have their fun, the rest of us will be hidden in a mountain top lab. Once society has finally all but destroyed itself, we shall emerge triumphant with the only cure and claim what's ours in return. Mwahahahahah.
