Ken it is for me! As people have already said, when someone jumps - hit 'em with the shoryuken. The hurricane kick, I find, can be a useful technique when combined with jumping. (I'm sure you all know this but...) If you jump and unleash a hurricane kick you'll travel horizontally across the top of the screen... can be useful for putting/closing distance between the opponent and yourself and also for avoiding landing on slow fireballs! Chun Li's spinning bird kick can be used from a wall jump and she'll travel across the screen from the top, diagonally, down to the bottom... it's a great move for people who haven't seen it before (yes, there still are some!) but watch out for the shoryukens... they'll take her out of course!

I'm not sure whether I'd buy any FPS's on the Wii at the mo, of course I will be able to give an answer once I've played them but I can certainly say I don't think I'll be getting any at launch! I had hoped that these control issues would've been sorted out by now! Roll on Metroid eh?!

I've never done one before... but my local Gamestation (Altrincham, Machester) hinted that they might be doing a midnight launch... yet to be confirmed I believe! Sure hope they do!!!

Man this game has just entered the top 5 of my most anticipated! It looks AMAZING! I don't mean the graphics (although they do also), but this gameplay is right up my street!

Metroid Prime - everything about it, an awe inspiring game, the only game in my eyes that stands shoulder to shoulder with Ocarina of Time! Eternal Darkness - the way the story was told was unbelievable, this game truly is a work of art! Wind Waker - beauty, i've never seen such fantastic animation, one of the most beautiful games ever! Smash Bros - having never played it on the N64, this game blew me away! One of the only multiplayer games to touch Perfect Dark (N64) in it's playability and fun! Viewtiful Joe - this game really showed that you don't need hyper-realistic visuals or a gripping story to be absolutely amazing, re-invented my love for hardcore 2D scrollers! Resident Evil 4 - the game is brilliant, everything about it is awesome!

It's good to see a well thought of and constructed piece of writing in regards to the Wii's graphical power. Having just come off the gamespot boards it is always nice to read the posts of people that aren't idiots! (a sly dig at them I know!) I love your post Zechs and must say that I certainly do agree to the extent that I would love to see these beloved games in even greater detail. Although I wouldn't say that I'm not hyped as much for this console... the Wii is the console that has had me more hyped than any other! The Virtual Console alone does this for me! Having read the most recent impressions of games like Zelda and Mario and Metroid I'm super hyped for this machine! ...also, Outlaw Star is great! Just finished watching the series on youtube, it's great!

I've always had Nokia phones, although now I've got the Sony Ericsson W810i and tell you the truth I won't be getting a new phone once my contract is up as it's easily good enough and as user friendly as the Nokia's. The K800i, I imagine, is a brilliant phone. As long as it's got 512MB memory minimum I'd say get that!

I'd love Bleach to come out over here! I'd also love that Zangetsu!!!!

I'm hoping for a midnight launch near me too, there would be a few mates with me if there is, great as you've said for mario kart and metroid battles before you get the console!

I'm mentioning it again... there's no rumour in what I said! I've basically said that it may or may not come to other territories. We don't know for certain, I'm still assuming it's coming to europe, I was just clearing up what the other guy had said about him hearing that it had been cancelled.

It's not been said that it's been cancelled, just that at E3 it was said that it would be released on both Wii and GC in America... it made no mention to other terrirtories, so for all we know it may well not come to GC anywhere other than America... but hey, who knows...?!

Booking the 8th - 15th Dec off work then! I want some Wii time for myself! ha ha £180 with Wii Sports aint bad at all really, I was expecting £200ish so...

Gutted it's been pushed back, but I'm super hyped from that quick review! This game is going to be awesome! Absolutely awesome!

So excited for this after watching that vid... I hope Europe doesn't get pushed back, November release please, after the 24th at least... my payday! ha ha

I did exactly the same! No way I was staying up and getting my hopes up! Still a lil bit gutted it was nothing else, but it sure is good news to hear that they've had their hands on the chips for a while!
