And here's the Legend in action in his home village, which is my home village too.

Just got the confirmation mine has been sent, I'll have it on or before the 13th! YES!!! EDIT: Just got a text from The Hut Group telling me it'll be delivered tomorrow! FUCKING YES!!!
-
Hopefully I'll be getting an email shortly as it wasn't saying it was out of stock when I ordered it and it was relatively quick. Thanks @Shorty! My Nintendo Store page now says awaiting despatch as opposed to awaiting stock pick, as it did prior. Well that's for the New3DS, still awaiting stock pick on the power adaptor... they'd not ship separately will they? I'll have to wait for the adaptor to be in stock and then they'd be delivered together(expected despatch is 17/3), right?

For me, I don't think MK voice-chat would cut the mustard. Don't forget, it's lobby chat, and that isn't a substitute for in-game chat. I hope you can group up in teams prior to matchmaking too, surely this will be in..?

This should probably be stickied @lostmario..? What gets me most is that Nintendo seem to be a games company that puts fun first and foremost as the main thing in their games. When it comes to multiplayer, local multiplayer is always best because of the laughs to be had between yourselves as you game. Nintendo seem to know this as their adverts (when they existed - Wii) always showcased this. However, local isn't always something people can play as regularly as they'd like, if at all in some cases, and so online playes a big part here in catering to multiplayer gaming at practically any time. The thing is, what makes local gaming so much fun; the social element, is then missing when online if there's no voice-chat. All of a sudden part of the fun is taken out of the game. Sure, I get that a huge part of the fun is the game itself, but a game is only more fun when you can enjoy it together with your friends, talking, laughing and giving each other grief as you play. Nintendo does actually understand this, as seen in their adverts with local gaming on show, so then why do they exclude this part of the fun from their online experiences? It's beyond me. Multiplayer centric games like MK8, Smash and Splatoon would be all the better for voice chat. Unfortunately I'm finding both MK8 and Smash a little lacklustre and soulless because I can't share the laughs I have on them. It's disheartening and upsetting. As a side note, those that want voice-chat, what applications on people's phones/laptops might people have to workaround the issue? Skype, I imagine, is the go-to app? MUMBLE has been touted as another.

Those numbers dropped drastically though don't forget. At Xmas there was always the huge bump in players but not as many play all year round like we used to. As year-round figures 28k on Wii was the norm and 1k for WiiU. Man, those CoD Wii days were amazing! We had such laughs and owned so much. I hope this is replicated on Splatoon!
-
CoD had a decent enough community on the Wii. MWR, BO and MW3 had anywhere between 22k and 30k online during their quietest/busy times. 28k was a regular number, sure it's not like the figures the other consoles would get but they were numbers that always ensured you'd get a decent game at any time. If the Splatoon community can get like that then it'd be great. If it does get voice-chat between friends it'll make it all the better.

CoD Ghosts has around 700/800-ish people online at a time, sometimes as low as 500 and around 1,000 at most. It's slightly better for Black Ops 2 but not much, around 1,200 at most but more people play regularly. The numbers tend not to be as low as Ghosts might go. "A few thousand" on either game at any time is rubbish, it's never happened. It's been a couple thousand at the busiest time on Black Ops 2 and it never got to that on Ghosts. You get games but can wait a bit if you're searching for better connections.

Yeah, let's start complaining again! :p Unfortunately I'm not interested in the single player for this. I think it just looks so-so, the multiplayer looks like it could be really good but without being able to talk to each other, for me, it loses something very important. I do hope chatting with friends is in.

Well I downloaded it but didn't end up putting it on, haha.

Doesn't look like a release day delivery...

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Kav replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
The thing with those numbers is that it doesn't really tell a set story. The market is just a pool of people that buy the consoles and it doesn't really extend much beyond that pool of people. The fact the Wii was so cheap and due to the controls, the thing sold like hot-cakes to the point of saturation within the market and so it was bound to stop selling anywhere near as well. The fact the 360 & PS3 had legs is because they didn't saturate the market and then price drops made them more readily affordable so there was still room for them to keep selling. If the PS4 sells 85 million in 4 years, the telling thing would to then see it's sales thereafter for the following 4 years. I don't imagine it doing much better than the Wii, if at all, as the market may well have been fully saturated by that point. -
This is a really good point. Recent Netflix originals have been fantastic!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

After watching more of Xenoblade Chronicles X and the Dolls flying through the landscapes... it'd be awesome if you could call a Loftwing in this to get about too! -
Sweet baby Jesus I cannot wait!!! That just looks so damn sweet!

My hype has remained the same, very high. Even without online I was majorly hyped for this game! With there not being voice-chat, it just means I'll not invest as much time with co-op as I would've done otherwise.
-
It is a major kick in the balls for multiplayer. Posting so is perfectly fine and apt. The game does look amazing, we've also posted that, look through the thread and you'll see. A bit of news comes that displeases and we can't post that too? Of course we can!
-
Hold on, so it's online co-op but there's no voice chat..? I'm interested in this for the single player experience so I'll still get the game if this is the case but still, what a joke if true.

He has talent and a lot of latent talent too, if he lives up to his potential he'll be a fantastic player. He needs the correct management and nurturing as well as the correct attitude, which it appears he does have. He's like an unpolished diamond.

Everything in this video goes to show that there will be plenty of strategy to this game. With how clothing effects your movement/defence/strength etc as well as the different types of weapons, secondaries and specials. Those that said it'll not be strategic are so wrong. It looks like it could be fantastic, I only hope I'll be buying it.
-
I can be matched with friends too so it's not really as synonymous as that. The point of the matter is, we're hoping for some news on it, when we post our displeasure at either there being no news or bad news, that's perfectly fine. Just as is it to post if you like aspects about it. If people don't want pages arguing about voice-chat then they shouldn't quote us and start an argument by saying "it doesn't need it" etc. because to some it does need it.
-
The reason it keeps being brought up @Ronnie is because people are wanting to know about voice-chat, to some whether they buy the game or not hinges on it, so we're looking for any info on it at all. If there's full voice-chat in the game it'll be one of my most anticipated games, if not then I'll not be picking it up. It's THAT important to me, you have to accept this. When we get first translations that suggest there's no communication at all in the game (supposedly it's now just no communication with randoms) then of course I can post my opinion on the matter, this is a forum after all. If you didn't want this to carry on then just ignore my post and talk about the game, but because you start going on how "the game doesn't need voice-chat" etc it then turns into a discussion that lasts pages because for some it does need it. If you just leave it at our initial post, and accept for some the game needs voice-chat, then there'd be no issue. This is a forum and so both positive and negative comments are ok to post.

I don't know who uses what architecture and what-not, but they have to make it similar to the Sony and Microsoft consoles to at least get 3rd Party ports. If they make it too disimilar again they'll just miss out once more on far too many games! 3rd Parties need a relatively easy and as cheap as possible port process. They also need Party Chat at OS level and better Virtual Console (I'll not be paying for the same games again on a new machine) maybe similar to a Netflix type service if they can (as has been said before). As things stand I'll not be buying their next console, not at launch or at full price at least. I'm one customer they've effectively lost when really they shouldn't have done, if it wasn't for their backwards attitudes toward gaming. Still, I'm one customer that I do hope they win back... unless they go 3rd or 2nd Party to either Microsoft or Sony, I'd actually prefer that!

Ooooh, boom! Haha -
@Glen\-i the reason I don't hear you is because I don't play them online because I find that they feel soulless, due to the lack of voice chat in-game. :p
