  1. It was bad to see them surround the ref but it was Man United that practically invented that. Lots of other teams do it @Wii, you can't say they don't. It was a particularly bad game for it though the other night, I will admit that. Part of which I reckon was brought on by some of the challenges from the first leg... Hazard was getting belted but was getting no protection from the ref. They just took it overboard is all.
  2. Terry Pratchett has passed away.
  3. @Glen\-i This. It's the same for me, it's never been enough of a negative effect for it to bother me so I'd not looked into what it actually does. Especially seeing as you tend to get rid of it more often than not.
  4. So what does Frenzy actually do then? I've not noticed much of a difference at all when fighting an infected monster or whilst I've been infected.
  5. Cheers @Hero\-of\-Time. Why'd they have to make this game so much of a chore though. I'm glad on games like CoD you don't need to complete the campaign in order to unlock important stuff in multiplayer.
  6. 2 Wystones... noted. What I'm not noting is any of the text in the game. I'm not reading any of it at all so I have no idea what people are saying... I simply cannot be arsed sitting there reading it all, not a chance, far too much text... most of which is blabbering drivel too not actually related to the tasks. How long will it be before I get the Wystones, and do you know what I need to do to get them?
  7. I, shock horror, decided to play more single player during the football match last night (terrible match). I opened up 9 Star hunts and got to the point where there's the Kushala Daora cutscene... @lostmario, how much longer need I play to unlock the things that help with the Gogmazios fight? If I'm going to play on the single player I think it'll be whilst I'm watching something.
  8. Did you get to use many of the different weapons etc?
  9. We deserved to go out after playing such negative football against 10 men. Terrible!
  10. I'll continue to post it. Each time I feel it's relevant to what I want to say or each time they release some news about the game, because I want to know. Just because im not singing it's praises it doesn't mean I can't post. You keep posting how you like the look of the game, for fucks sake, we get it. See what I mean?
  11. It's true though @Ronnie, you can't put up an argument against it so you go with the picture that everyone thinks as soon as Nintendo confirm that there's no voice chat in their online games. ...it's also what everyone does when you post funnily enough. A team based game without the ability to communicate with your team..?! It's tragic!
  12. Hahaha! Gold!!! This is also the team responsible for online communication in games it seems. It's such a shame, Splatoon looks like it could be great. They've got the different weapons, character customisation with stats being effected... it opens up so many possibilities for team-work... all for naught without that which will not be mentioned. Increase defence stats for holding down positions and defending/slowly pushing forward, increase movement speed for those rushing the front-lines and flanking etc. There's the array of weapons and specials that will lean toward different play-styles and roles too.
  13. I remember playing through Super Probotector with my brother and neither of us lost a life... could I fuck do that now!!!
  14. Wait a sec... Nintendo actually have a marketing team?!!
  15. It is the same mechanics and objective, yes, but the feeling you get whilst playing it isn't. It's all about those feels man! You can put down a pitfall, get in some good hits, flash the monster as it flies up out of the trap, get in more good hits and stun it, chop it's tail off etc... but doing that just on your own doesn't leave me with that much of a sense of accomplishment. That I'm doing it alone, planning it and in charge of how the hunt goes, the accomplishment is expected so it doesn't leave me feeling great or anything, just that it went to plan. Now if someone else has laid down the trap, I then flash the monster, someone else stuns it and another cuts off it's tail..? That feeling of camaraderie and accomplishment through teamwork is far greater than doing it on your own! That's where these games do it for me. ...Jesus I miss hunting with you guys
  16. For me it's the teamwork that makes these games. Even on the "dull" hunts like the Mohrans, if the team is working in sync it feels epic. There's nothing quite like trapping, bombing, flash/sonic-bombing, stunning, paralysing, sleeping, healing, all as one whilst in a group. That there's no voice chat hurts it a lot it must say, the game should've had it as standard, work-arounds are a pain in the ass and have left me without it. Then again, I'm always playing with randoms anyhow and it's an utterly horrific time trying to find a decent group... but when you do, oh boy! ...but doing all that on your own..? It just feels run of the mill and mundane. Yet when it's a group hunting in unison, that really feels great! I'm all about the teamwork and team spirit.
  17. 1. The random did, I remember checking out his set-up and he had Mounting Pro as one of his skills. 2. Cheers @lostmario for that, I know how much of a chore the single player is. Still, I'd rather battle him for another 10 mins than do the single player, haha. Although I did a little single player last night and unlocked the super BBQ, I'll be using that now thankfully so I'll not be as bored steak farming. Still, I can't be bothered carrying on any further, it's such a pain to play. Also, cheers for the hunts last night you two.
  18. Gogmazios... holy poop he was Godzilla-esque! A fairly simple enough battle in reality but it rang with that epic feeling throughout!
  19. It's a little teaser for the main characters of their first project, it's on their website.
  20. I'd like thank posts and chime in about what Nintendo's next console should be like but in all honesty, I don't have faith in them to make a competitive console. The WiiU and their attitude towards the evolving markethas completely made me lose faith in the company. I want them to go 3rd Party, without having any console exclusives... unless they went 2nd Party of course.
  21. Actually, I agree. Nintendo would only hinder the company with online restrictions etc going forward.

  23. Hunt wise I didn't have a particularly great night on this, a lot of fainting randoms... and a double faint by @Blade on the last hunt (noob) :p However, I did max out another couple weapons and got enough armour spheres to upgrade my defence from 570ish to 650ish. I was looking at what armours to go for when I use a Bow, Kushala set for sure, it's got some awesome skills for the Bow! With a little gemming you could have: Evasion +2 Load Up Focus Critical Element Up Heat Resistance ...plus whatever a Talisman might add. Also, I just have to say, I am LOVING my Seltas Z set, it's absolutely beastly!
  24. It could be even better if that which will not be mentioned was in it. But anyhow, it does look like it could be such a fun game (multiplayer for me). I do like the idea behind it. Given how many platformers there are on the WiiU though I do wish that the single-player wasn't platforming focused... although with the squid mechanic it could be quite different and feel fresh.
  25. @Agent Gibbs unless you're really good with blocking/evading, I'd always recommend going for defence over attack... as Hero said, some monsters can pack one hell of a punch the further you go in and they have slightly different attacks as you go further too. If you have the armour skills Evasion +1/2/3, Evasion Distance Up, Guard +1/2 or Guard Up then going for attack is ok, although I do think other skills are more beneficial. Also, the Gunlance is still a close-quarters weapon (the Seltas Z armour is great for the Gunlance). Personally I love the Bow but it is very different (quite marmite), like a whole new way of playing the game.
