  1. Wait a second. I think I understand. You mustn't have any friends! That's it! That's the only explanation, it's why you can't comprehend. You've no friends to share the fun with and don't see that it makes it all the much better. Oh god, now I just pity you!
  2. Hahahahahahahahaha You're so lame! Each time you make a statement which is such a twattish response to voice chat I'll post this in hope you'll finally understand what I'm talking about...
  3. Any team with a strategy will beat one without.
  4. If the NX doesn't have party chat at an OS level I'll not be buying one brand new. I'll get one pre-owned and cheap when Zelda, Metroid or something of the like is out for it. God I've lost so much faith in Nintendo this gen.
  5. Me too. I'm just gutted, it's so disheartening. I'd have looked forward to this game if it had voice chat... without being able to chat with my friends I find that games generally just lose a little too much (funnily, Monster Hunter is an exception. Sure it lacks something but it still manages to dig it's claws into me).
  6. I don't. I feel I was ripped off with MK8 and Smash. I wish I could rewind time and not spend the money on them.
  7. As things stand, after Zelda and Xenoblade Chronicles X my WiiU will become a huge paperweight. If it wasn't for the Sega Saturn it'd quite easily be the worst gaming console I've owned by a good stretch!
  8. I just can't begin to fathom their mindset. They've lost a sale of Splatoon and I'll be trading in MK8 and Smash soon enough given how lacklustre and soulless they both are. Nintendo have lost me as a fan of their multiplayer games. As my post above states, they're just not fun enough anymore.
  9. It's not just that, it's that you can't even talk to your friends. That's not what gaming is about, it's about having fun and chatting to your friends whilst playing is fun! It's so disheartening. Nintendon't.
  10. GameXplain have tweeted that Nintendo have confirmed that there will be no voice chat in the game at all. There goes all my interest in the game, I'll not bother buying it now. Gutted.
  11. I've had a fantastic weekend on this! Figured I'd finally make a Bow set, went for the Kushala armour and I've got the skills: Evasion+3 Load Up Focus Critical Element Up Heat Cancel I'm thinking of maybe taking Evasion down to +2 and maybe adding another skill though. I've got myself a nice selection of Bows too, just need to get to upgrading them. I've not used the set just yet mind, I'm still thoroughly enjoying the Charge Blade. I'm starting to really nail those Guard Points now and I'm KO'ing monsters by just blocking! This might well be my new favourite weapon! Now I'm getting used to GP'ing I've made myself another set with skills more suited to advanced Charge Blading... the G-Rank Seregios set and with a Talisman and decorations I have the following skills: Edge Lore Sharpness +1 Constitution +2 Negate Bleeding Having Edge Lore AND Sharpness +1 is simply fantastic, along with Constitution +2 it is a perfect set for using Guard Points! Weapon at maximum sharpness, it loses that sharpness at half the normal rate and my stamina depletion is greatly reduced when blocking... Charge Blade heaven! Just need to increase it's defence stats now.
  12. @lostmario, try using another weapon, it changes the game so much that it feels fresh again... especially if you try the Bow!
  13. Well what a dumbass I was! I was farming G Rank Teostra when I needed to farm High Rank! Haha I got it done and now have a fully upgraded Teostra Charge Blade. Need to hunt some Apex monsters to Hone that with Power now.
  14. I've already got NSMBU, Rayman, SM3DW and a slew of VC/eShop platformers. I could not even bring myself to buy another, no matter how good it is, I'm just burnt out on platformers at the mo. Hence why I've zero interest in Yoshi and Kirby.
  15. I don't think EAD will be making anymore WiiU games, at least not starting any new ones. Given how Nintendo handled the last couple years of the Wii and that the WiiU is an abysmal sales failure, they're best off getting a slew of titles ready for the new console so there aren't big droughts when it releases. However I've no faith in them doing this. This is Nintendo after all. I've no doubt they'll bork the new console too.
  16. I'd say either Pikmin 3 or Wonderful 101 are the best WiiU titles. I'm not putting WWHD & MH3U there as they're re-releases. MK8, Smash & SM3DW don't make the cut as their multiplayer is lacking due to no voice-chat (makes for a soulless experience), poor online options or lack of online at all (in SM3DW's case). I'm yet to play Bayonetta 2 so I can't put that there. Granted both Pikmin & W101 have multiplayer and they're not online either but multiplayer wasn't a focus of each game and so I don't feel it effects their worth.
  17. I'm looking for Teostra Horn+ but no matter how much I hunt the bugger he keeps dying before his horns break. Granted I'm doing it with randoms and it'd be easier to manage just attacking the head on my own, but I'd rather play in a group. I got so many carves from him that I'm not in need of so I sold a load and now I'm swimming in almost 900,000z. Those damn horns!!!
  18. My favourite narrative within a game is still Eternal Darkness. The Last of Us was good, if a little predictable, but as @dazzybee says, the writing is light years off film/TV. It's why gameplay still trumps narrative for me. Funnily, I've always found myself more emotionally attached to Link than any other character in gaming. Even though he's silent... in fact, it's entirely because he's silent that I am. My answers are given through him and even though you don't really get much choice in the Zelda series, I always just want to do the right thing and be the Hero, as Link himself would. This creates a bond with the character, the game world and all characters in it far greater than games like The Last of Us could ever have hoped to achieve.
  19. To be fair, @Zechs Merquise stated he plays on his PC and 360 so he's not proven your point @Sheikah. If anything, your post about Nintendo only gamers followed by your reply to him calling you out has only reinforced his statement.
  20. I still don't get this. I think MK is fine the way it is. All it needs is better weapon balancing, a decent Battle Mode and proper online with voice-chat. It'd be amazing. Putting in an overworld etc is just making the game something it's not.
  21. @Serebii operates in a similar way to the Zelda timeline..?
  22. I'll happily defend Nintendo. What I won't do is defend them when I'd be in the wrong to do so. Or to go on moaning how people aren't Nintendo fans just because they criticise. This thread is a perfectly fine discussion. It's not a thread to rip Nintendo. For example, some people may only be able to buy one console and they choose the WiiU for Zelda/Mario because they want these games more than others. However, they may feel that only having the WiiU is still effecting their hobby because they're missing out on other games/feautures that Nintendo aren't providing that they would like. The topic is very relevant. To attack it is overly defensive and incorrect.
  23. Yeah, because only those that blindly defend Nintendo, including defending the indefensible, are the only Nintendo fans here. I'm talking about these overly defensive posts as well as posts criticising the thread incorrectly, that needn't be made.
  24. The Nintendo Defence Force is forming. :p I've never been a Nintendo only gamer, I've always had multiple consoles. I have, however, always preferred Nintendo games to others and up until this generation (maybe ever so slightly last gen) I have started to lose faith in Nintendo as both a developer and definitely a console manufacturer. If I were to game on Nintendo only, the single player games would not cause issue as I think they are absolutely exceptional. Their multiplayer efforts however are severely lacking due to their attitude towards online. This is where my gaming would suffer... and for me, it's unacceptable.
  25. I don't get the want for a story in the MK franchise. It is simply what it is, a kart racer. There's no story to go-kart racing, you go with your mates and race, that's it. That's all there need be in MK. They could put in challenges etc, yes... but a story, no thanks. That said, they need to fix battle mode!
