Nice one, listening to the stream now. Like what I'm hearing. The more I listen to Under Cover of Darkness the more I love it. Been on a bit of a strokes kick of late, I'd never really listened to the full albums before, most definately are it.

In fairness, it seemed like the Milan defenders had a plan to go down to get a free kick whenever he went anywhere near them in the air. Which worked quite well, Crouch was laughing after some of the last ones. But yeah. Okayish match. Bale doesn't seem to be fully fit either, it seems abit to their detriment that as soon as he came on every Spurs player kept trying to give him the ball, whatever position he was in. Kind of like when you make a stunning player on FIFA and you spend all your time getting it to him, rather than actually playign properly. Anyway, yeah, dominated in the first half, but it was pretty even in the second. Decent enough match.

So I've also done a U-Tur, airwing style about this game. Well, maybe more an r turn, I still think it's a shoddy amount of progression in the last ten years but at least I'm enjoying the game now. DANS TEAM Not a huge fan of pansear / the monkeys. Beat the first two I gyms I think. Big love for the 3d bits! Gave up on Purrlion about level ten. It is lame!

After Dark (I think it was called) could work, I remember thinking it would be pretty suited to film whilst reading it. Plus no one likes it (apart from me) so no one would be upset if it sucked. Re: NW - just watched the trailer, I agree, visually it looks stunning. And the soundtrack. The kind of film I could happily sit back into a seat at the cinema and enjoy looking at, even if the acting / screenplay isn't so good. Doubt they'll be showing it at Leeds Vue but I might make the effort to the local arts one.. Loved the book, obvs. I'd recomend Ryu Murakami's 69 to any NW fans, makes an interesting comparison even if the writing style is different.

I went for water as I quite like having a pick the fire pokemon in my team, as they tend to be quite good (Arcanine, Magmar, Ninetails, going off the first game). But it turns out you get the fire monkey thing if you pick water anyway. Ah well. About 3 hours in. Really very indifferent so far. Played through heartgold a couple weeks back and, well, it's pretty much the same thing innit? And when was gold released? Ten years ago? I've been out of the videogame loop for a while now so this is stating the obvious, but really, why do nintendo insist on releasing the same game every few years for their big franchises? The new Zelda looks basically identical to twighlight princess but with gimmick sword controls. I'd love to tell you my team but the names are so lame and unmemorable that I literally can't remember any of them. anyway, /rant. To be fair I tend to not particularly enjoy the start of any pokemon game, where there's about 5 pokemon to pick from in the first 5 hours so I'm sure it'll pick up...

Knew Paj's post would be the lates on this thread after seeing a new sig in general chitchat. Av: I like it. Well framed / colour scheme works well. A Paj sort of av too, which is always less confusing on a forum.. Sig: Less impressed. I almost really like it, but ultimately the writing / monochromeness makes it seem too emo (I know the lyric isn't particularly emo, and is from a Madonna song, but still). I think maybe I don't like the style / 'font' of the writing. Arbitrary number / ten

Roll with that description. May be why I took so long to get into them. Like, The Suburbs is staggeringly good, though would be even better if they dropped a few songs. I mean, The Suburbs (& Continued), Ready To Start, Sprawl II, Half Light II are all heads and shoulders above the rest of the album. But you couldn't call them a single band as the albums almost work so well together. Perfect for a live setlist in any case.

Got my exam results back for first semester of year 2 (they don't half keep you waiting! 66 61 58 So a decent enough 2:1! Staggeringly relieved. I literally started to revise the night before on each one. Do not deserve one bit. Bit annoyed about the 58 - 3 essays and my last one I got a third on due to running out of time. Ah well, can't have it all.
