Let me see, I listen to a fair few... The Definitive Word Lost Initiative Movies You Should See Official Lost All The Ricky Gervais's And NE of course. Aaahaha, reading up on this thread must have been the greatest half hour i've wasted on the internet of all time. Congrats to King V Rather epically, Baba O'Riley (teenage wasteland, The Who) came on the radio literally the second I got to reading King V's triumphant post-sex post Quite the adventure. -
Ahh fair do. Well I havn't finished the book yet so i might end up agreeing with you. That said, the end of the film... with the Pixies playing it out... perfection. So 2 films that I watched with friends yesterday and that I really need to watch again as the volume was up way too low... The Prestige Holy cack what a piece of brilliance!! The various twists were superb and the acting flawless. Bit long, and was abit meh at the start, but the plot was incredibly clever and came together perfectly by the end. 9.5 / 10 Juno A little overhyped but it was still most enjoyable. I actually had the soundrack before watching so Im pretty sure I did a good job of annoying everyone I was watching with by singing along lol. Soundtrack is still fantasmic though. 8 / 10

Meh, Id be tempted to disagree - im halfway through reading at the moment and Id say the film actually improves on the book. Which is saying something considering how good the book is (thus far). Id give the film a perfect 10 in any case...

Good point. Beck in particular would lose alot with no contrast between the English and Japanese voices. I think I can safely agree that, 95% of the time, Dubs <<< Subs And both Beck and Welcome to the NHK are both in that 95%

Well i'm similarly just starting Welcome to the NHK. In fact i stopped to finish off Beck but now that I've done that i'll get starting again i think ^.^ The first 3 / 4 episodes seemed pretty awesome And has anyone seen The Girl Who Leapt Through time? Got it today... wonder when I'll find time to watch...

Hero Shulmp. Had this knocking around me hard drive disk thing for months since it was on channel 4, finally got round to watching it. Absolutely beautiful throughout, with amazing sequences (fending off the arrows was a particular favourite of mine, as was the fight in the middle of fallen leaves). Didn't care much for the plot but i don't think that mattered too much frankly. 9 / 10 Sunshine Similarly beautiful, but throughout i was couldn't help thinking how much better it would have been at the cinema Ahh well. Anyway, looked fantastic and the soundtrack was great. The last third seemed alot more 'meh' to me, and the 'twist', while initially well executed, almost ruined the film. 8/10

Well I finished Beck (the anime at least) That was AMAZING. Watched about the last what, 5 episodes tonight, which probably wasn't the greatest idea what with school in the morning but there we go. Anyway yeh. Had doubts about the last episode; thought 25 would have been a good, if depressing, ending, but the episode wasn't good enough. Up there with Death Note in terms of my favorite anime i think...

I quite wanna go to see this The Happening, Im quite into watching crap films for laughs at the moment. As for M. Night Shyamalans other films... Sixth Sense - 7.5 / 10 Signs - 4 / 10 Villiage - 2 / 10 (probably the worst film i've seen at a cinema... So yah, pretty much disliked all of his... Speaking of crap films, I got a couple of £1 DVDs in sainsburys. They were so bad that the disks themselves were printed in black and white - like the age rating was grey rather than red, and then there were typos on the box of one. Beat It was hilariously bad Hopefully Keifer Sutherland wasn't trying to be a serious actor then... every line was said with exactly the same phrasing and pheonetics. 'Bullseye'... O.o lol/10

I almost want to watch the episode with this 'puppy scene' in it, see how bad it is exactly. I myself watched i think 3 episodes a whle ago before i stopped. Too weird for me :S I wouldn't have minded too much about all the violence but i can't say i was particularly it as an anime anyway...

Beck!!! Beck!! It's so awesome. 3 episodes left to go ^.^ To anyone on here who has read the manga... is it good? Worth reading after the anime? My friend tells me the anime stops at a good point, and I can see Beck being less good without the music but yah.... thoughts?

Yeah I know, it was a great ending but just extremely WTF on first viewing... Meanwhile, saw Ironman today Was alright I guess, nothing special, wasn't awful 6/10

We're seeing Iron Man now, The Band's Visit looks pretty good but the chances of it being shown in the sh*thole that is Luton cinema are pretty much 0... Anyway just watched Oldboy Now i'm really far too tired to be watching a film like this but WHAT THE HELL kind of ending was that??! Quite good until toward the end though, which was too weird for me... 8/10

I watched, and will probably watch every now and then... now I wouldn't but they seem to clear the TV schedule of everything good to make way for big brother... Peep show, Battlestar, Derren brown finishing within the next couple weeks, then Lost, Dexter, Desperate Housewives finished recently... Mind you, 'she says she would like to be recarnated as a pokemon' ftw -
Urrgh, can anyone recomend anything genuinely good in cinemas at the moment? I'm ment to be going tomorrow... but people want to see Indy 4, which i wasn't keen on, even less after seeing reviews and then opinions on here...

Heh, what a fun arguement. I'll rate yours both Calza 8 / 10 - Didn't recognise it as Björk at first but that just adds to the goodness ^.^ Anyways yeh, nice and vectory and i like the colours Villan 6.5 / 10 - Much as a I like anime i don't like that sort of generic style much (I know theres a word for the style but i forget it). Still, looks pretty good, especially with the slight border.
