I think Greil calls him Aik in one of the cutscenes in PoR. Can't say for sure, though. And of course Waluigi wasn't going to be playable. He's filler, unlike other PCs, such as Wario and Diddy. Want further proof? The only signature attacks he has are generic kicking and a Mario Tennis racket. Can't be more filler than that.

Whoa! I really didn't expect Stafy to become an Assist Trophy. Isn't he quite popular in Japan? Oh, and I'm glad Waluigi isn't playable. He's good as an Assist Trophy.

Most Inappropriate Things To Say In Any Given Situation Thread

Hey, mom I... Wait a sec, what are YOU doing in front of a sex shop? -
Yeah, but if you save in the settings menu, you can't go back until you beat the chapter. And there are a few pretty hard chapters around, too. Of course you can train your units in the tower, but if you don't visit the tower at all, you can have a better challenge.

Gotta agree, Snake rules. Nice reference to SSBB.

To be honest, I don't know. There are Fire Emblems that are more complex than others. If you want an introduction to the series, try Fire Emblem for the GBA. The gameplay is not too complicated and it has a pretty decent difficulty. Plus, it has the longer durability (I'm not counting RD yet). EDIT: Sacred Stones is cool, too. I just like the other FE more, but both work.

Now we just need a game called Rococó. The trailer doesn't show much, but since Riviera was a pretty good game, I'll have faith in them. Hope to hear more.

Well I used to eat grapes dipped in soup. That has to count for something, right?

It wasn't that bad. I love music updates and I certainly prefer this version of the Ice Climbers' song. Also, a couple of new songs have been confirmed (even though I don't know the AC one). Plus, Sakurai's comments always make me laugh. "I'm not playing here. Seriously."

And count me in. Wooo!

Nice comics. 8 Bit Wario and Slaps across the head = Fun for everyone!

Bloom Box? I'm still calling it "Blocks". I'm in love with the concept. Will we be able to exchange created puzzles trough Wi-Fi/WiiConnect?

That site is awesome. It's not just those games. Megaman, Final Fantasy, Zelda and Chrono Trigger all got their fair share of love (As well as many others). The Sonic remixes are definately the best, though. Now, for some games/series with good soundtracks: Personal Favorites -Donkey Kong Country series: At least the first two had excellent music. Specially the second one. -Mega Drive Sonic series: The game with the best soundtrack is Sonic 2, but the all the games reek of quality music. I don't think there's a single music I dislike from these games. -Classic Megaman 1-3: My favorite being, again, the second game of the series. The quality started to to deteriorate after the third one, but those first three games had good music. Special mention: Megaman: Dr. Wily's Revenge for the Gameboy went unnoticed, but it's really well done and polished (albeit short). It (lightly) remixes the music from the Megaman 1, with better results. Having played this version in my childhood, the music in the NES version now hurts my ears. -Zelda OoT: Great, memorable music all around. From the ocarina melodies to the towns' music to the dungeons' creepyness. Favorite track is the Gerudo Valley. -Zelda WW: This game has awesome, memorable music. Not only that, but the music changes according to your current situation. This happens pretty much everywhere in the game, so it really helps the atmosphere and immersion. -Pokemon Red/Blue: This soundtrack is underrated, probably because of the Gameboy's poor sound capabilities. I'm amazed these musics don't get remixed more often. Gold/Silver had a nice soundtrack, too, although R/B is just plain better. -Fire Emblem 6: Maybe it's because not many people played this game, but I feel this soundtrack is very underrated. I love those tracks. Specially Shaman in the Dark. -Golden Sun 1 & 2: An excellent soundtrack all-around. The RPG series with the third best music ever. -Final Fantasy IX: This is my favourite Final Fantasy for several reasons and music is one of them. This is probably the RPG with the second best music ever, second only to... -Skies of Arcadia: The RPG with the best music ever. Not much else to say. -Super Smash Bros. Melee: Because it's basically a museum with great music from several great games Honorable mentions -Tales series: It's hit or miss with this series, but when it hits, it nails the target. -Fire Emblem series (except 6): It's not excellent, but has several good moments. -Castlevania: Some games have excellent music, others don't. But the whole series deserves respect in this aspect. -Chrono Trigger: There's nothing wrong with it, but I like Golden Sun, FF9 and Skies more. -Baten Kaitos: See 'Chrono Trigger'. -Megaman X: I don't really like the music of the whole series, but the first one had a few great tracks. -Mario & Luigi RPG series: Great style and memorable tunes. Probably the Mario games with my favorite soundtrack -F-Zero series: I love those songs and I don't even know most of the tracks from F-Zero X. -Metroid series: Most of the tracks aren't memorable tunes, but great atmospheric sound. It's the kind of music that makes up for most of a game's atmosphere. I wouldn't be half as desperate in the Phazon Mines if it weren't for the background music. Damn, that's a long list. Hopefully I didn't forget anything.

They said it was confusing and got you talking, but it's part of it's charm. No complaints from them.

The problem is that the new supports aren't lengthy conversations from what I heard. Just a few generic lines. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm not getting my hopes up The strategic value is still there, though. Nothing to worry about there. Agreed. Most reviewers act as if the Gamecube game wasn't good in that aspect. A few reviews say that the plot is good, but the storytelling may get a bit confusing/complex, since it alternates different perspectives frequently. So, two options: -The reviewers didn't like the storytelling and labeled the story as subpar; -They didn't bother to play the entire game. The second option is the impression I got from Gamespot. They said something along the lines of: "The plot is bad at the beginning. It improves later on, but you probably won't complete the first half." And proceeded to label the plot as laughable. (Oh, the irony...) Personally, I'm confident that the plot will be good.

It's not RTS, it's turn based. But if you don't like strategy in general, nothing can be done. I didn't see the GT review, but it seems strange that so many reviews criticise the story. I hope it's just because of the lack of good supports. EDIT: Just saw the GT review. Their main gripe is the same gripe other reviewers have: too hard/complex. It's fair (Certainly better than those who suggested Miis ). I don't mind, really. Hard = Challenging =/= Boredom. If I have a main gripe with Path of Radiance, it's the lack of difficulty, so a step up in this direction is good for me.

Methinks you're talking about Ness. Unless you already know an unlockable got cut. Maybe Jigglypuff? Or Mewtwo? I hope not, I love those two.

Happy Birthday, Sir Fresh

Looks good. Awesome that it's more Arcade than Simulation. All it needs is a good Create-A-Wrestler mode to enter my wishlist.

Except we don't really know the Euro release date. The delay is a lie. I'm pretty sure we won't have to wait 5 months more than the Americans. On a side note, Bonsly today. Mr. Saturn with an actual use. Sweet.

They better be right. March sounds good. Gotta play FE9 again. A question. Does the "Hard Mode" in FE9 still correspond to FE10's "Normal Mode"? If so, I need to replay that Hard Mode.

I guess I'm another of the folks that didn't love the movies. They're watchable, but I would've forgotten them easily if it wasn't for the popularity surrounding it. I kinda liked Gollum, but that's it.

:yay: Happy Birthday :yay: Congratulations! I didn't think you were so young. Enjoy it while you can.
