Feist doesn't sound as good as you'd think. See, if someone has a good last name (a rarity in the UK, though Char, you have one), they can get away with any first name. Hence Leslie Feist. I still prefer Ellen-Ripley.

No but if you look at their faces, they're on avergae at least pretty (save 1). And none of them are "common" looking or actually chavvy. E'en with Joanna, it's just a big joke.

I don't think I dare, but I agree. Ellen Ripley Gray fits really easily into my ears. My god. I have to now, don't I? What about my son? Hicks Gray?
-
I was about to whack you for choosing Emily, which I think is literally the most common girls name, until you redeemed yourself. Ripley would be a better choice though. (I know a little boy called that though...)

I just realised how attractive the (small) female contingent in our year/the year below are, relative to other schools. At least, imo.

Woke up at 3pm today, after feeling worse for wear after last night. Played Wii all day, despite my HUGE revision needs. I seriously need some kinda therapy that turns you into a person who can physically do work in a free environment. I love Subspace Emissary in Smash Bros so much. Telling me jokes in the cutscenes.

It is indeed lovely. Got me listening to the original actually, which for some unknown reason I'd never given any attention to. --- First song of the new year for me was... *looks up* lol! Nine Million Bicycles - Katie Melua. Feels lovely. --- My fave Tegan & Sara songs; (In chornological order) Not Tonight Underwater Living Room Terrible Storm And Darling Most of So Jealous is consisantly lovely, so I daren't choose. It doesn't reach any fo the heights of some of the songs on the Con though. Relief Next To Me Knife Going In Floorplan Like O, Like H I Was Married \------- Albums, for me, by proper musical artists. If I really find a Pussycat Dolls song catchy, I'll buy the single. But not with say, Liz Phair or Antony & The Johnsons. Albums are a collection of songs that should form a whole, representing either an idea or a period of the artists life, whatever. (Note this is why I dislike bands/genres that don't let each album be different from the next) So even if a lot of the songs arent to my liking, at least I have the full picture as they wanted it presented.

See, I'd find the premise of Pokemon'd vehicles more fun if they actually did it like it would be if we lived in the world of Pokemon. Like a joke yacht based on Starmie and Buizel. i.e Pikachu wouldn't be all over everything. Of course, they don't care, and Pikachu is the only universally recognisable Pokemon, and MUST be used to advertise almost everything.

But it's so much worse than half their songs! Especially; While not really a fan of theirs, I'm a defender of theirs (and their good songs).

No. Because Homo refers to a state of being the same as the other thing in question. Hence the words "Homogenous", "Homogenic" etc. Being the same as another thing (or multiple things) So same-sex attraction. Hetero meaning the opposite. *roughly*

Just got back from a friend's new years party, and feel really horrible. I just felt really ill whilst there (not because of drink or anything). A few times I thought I might be sick, but managed to bat that away, but yeah. Stuck it out, and felt ok at the end. Walking home I got my dreaded hiccups, which to me actually give intense pain, for some reason, and now they're gone, I just have horrible pain within my chest. Happy New Year all.

Well it's not like names TRULY affect what we turn out as.
-
If they themselves don't end up being chavvy, it would be alright.
-
Yeah, but you can have "normal" names that are still interesting. At least a joke variation on the norm. For example; Rory becoming Ruaridh. Both of those are common up here. Like neither, but even so, it's having a joke with it.
-
Yeah but let's be fair, gods and goddesses aren't real, they're just fun. And by that logic, calling a child Myra, Harold, Lucifer, Madeline, etc is really morbid too, as they're related to generally dark matters.
-
I like Theo (for a boy) and Cleo (a girl) too. Not sure I'd use both for both my children though, bit odd. Going back to Shakespearean names I like; Claribel, Dido, Adrian, Sampson, Stephano (Or Stephan, but it would be pronounced as such, not "Steven", which ranks alongside "Dave" and "Mike" in terms of being no fun at all),, Tybalt. For girls, Valentine, Phoebe, Iris, Hecate, Adriana and Cordelia.

I think he's just putting the damage on.
-
It was in no way aimed at children. Only the merchandise, like the toys and posters etc. So... *shrugs* It was fine as a 12a. 12a is a somewhat flawed rating, as it allows tiny children in, as long as their with their silly parents. Don't hate the film, hate the rating system. @ Coolness, I think the only confusingly shot bit is the Batradar or whatever it's called. Simply because it zooms around very quick. But apart from that...

Inspired by Dan, I've been rereading Ult. X-Men for the first time in a few years. I'm in two minds about Millar's style; I like the abundance of long, witty comments, but the fact that they would never say anything like that in the situations they do jarrs a bit. Still, it's interesting and unusual. I also love the fact that you are actually forced to think about which side you'd be on, if you were involved, the way Cyclops does. Realistically I'd just join the Brotherhood.
