  1. It's! Centrifugal motion! It's! A feelin' like this! Name the song quick.
  2. There was none. Unless you count Edward becoming "friendly", after he "fell in love with her at first sight". Though I still think he was just about to be sick and to cover for it.
  3. Yeah, I can't be arsed not having my bright red hair anymore. I want it back. I'm over it if they tell me to cut it. And I definitely need a tattoo this year. I want a lyric, since pictures almost always look shit. I need one that is more of a thing to look at and be inspired by, I feel, not something that just sounds cool. "I'll be the Happy Phantom" Not my fave Tori Amos song, but it'll remind me to one day get over my encompassing fear of my own death. Actually, I want "All Neon Like". [/offtopic]
  4. Until earlier this year, I always thought that was "How 'bout not equating death with starving?" I thought she was making some statement to whoever she was talking to about perhaps not thinking that death is all around us and can happen to us, and that it's not just something that we see on the news, that isn't really anything to do with us. Interesting either way.
  5. Yeah but you just look like you'd prefer to be somewhere else. I dare you to wear your cardigan with rolled up sleeves. AND LUMINOUS FINGERLESS GLOVES! YES! *raises hand for a high-five from Daft*
  6. I warned you it would be good! Now pass that dutch, I need to see it.
  7. It's the cardigan that does it.
  8. Seriously?! Delius! I thought the gold class tickets at VUE (£9) were a rip-off! But at least there I could get served alcohol...
  9. Another song by them I couldn't care less about. It's so inconsequential as a piece of music. I can see why you like them/her, she attended the same school of singing as Katy Perry. (Just noticed there) Now a much better song; Johnny Feelgood - Liz Phair Not her best (that would be on her first album), but this such a great song. I could take this in doses large enough to kill!
  10. I was about to jump on this and tell you that Kala came out in 2007, so Paper Planes didn't come out this year, but the single was rereleased, so technically counts. I hate that everyone knows it, when the rest of the album is more fun/better.
  11. Money Note is one of the songs of the year, as it takes the piss out of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Dolly Parton (literally name-dropping them). Best bit being the bridge, where she spoofs Mariah. "I just want to beat Mariah!" My lyrics of the day (not necessarily the best, just ones I like); I'll be your sorceress, your heart's magician. I'm not a witch, I'm a love technician. We could use the cage. I've got a lot of rope. I'm not full of rage. I'm full of hope. This is not a crime and you're not on trial. Bend over baby, I'm gonna make you smile.
  12. That kidna thing is my favourite type of lyric. It feels unsettlingly human. (as you said) You can't ignore it, because it sounds real. Also notable; "Can you imagine I pay him 75 dollars an hour? Sometimes it feels like highway robbery and sometimes it's peanuts... I wish it could last a couple more hours." The transition from confident conversation to painful inner thoughts is amazing. (The fact there basically is no audible one in the song)
  13. Camille should win, since the highlighted letters on the front of Music Hole spell out LOL.
  14. I bought Spider-Man and Super Smash Bros Brawl yesterday, and love both! Not had a lot of time on them, though. (Sharing the wii, and lots of work to do) Got Smash Bros, but the ones I left in that list are ones that interest me. Oh, and I never knew there was a sequel to Symphonia for Wii! That's the only RPG I've ever finished/loved. I'll definitely need that. No, because only my dad knows the password, and being a crazy paranoid computer consultant, he must of course spend years researching what could possibly go wrong with it. Definitely will do though. Thanks all.
  15. Single of the year? "The Rip" - Portishead Album of the year? "Third" - Portishead and "Alas I Cannot Swim" - Laura Marling tied. Not too keen on a game music one, personally. But movie tunes would be great actually! Either themes from the score or the "theme" songs of movies.
  16. Too restricted too. Though I know that they actualy contain a big variety of songs that are pretty different, it's not the clash of genres that I like. Maybe themed (smaller) ones? Like Msic Warz 90's or 80's. Or Music Warz Big Soppy Ballads.
  17. I'm a romantic or whatever, and the fact that everything is becoming digitised depresses me slightly. Less fun overall.
  18. I don't know them that well...I never watched anything with them in, only Sesame St. I remember the advert for The Muppets that ran before the main thing on my Batman cartoon videos when I was small, of the living spaghetti. That really scared me. So I'll say I'm Count Von Count.
  19. I'm being forced to listen to Iced Earth and Blind Guardian. Actually so bad in my ears. Just...no.
  20. After Music Warz 1 is over, I'm thinking of doign Music Warz 2 at some point afterwards. Of course, no tracks from before allowed, but I thought maybe even no ARTISTS from the first allowed would be more interesting. Only if people like listening to stuff they might not be inclined to normally though and stuff.
  21. Yep, Bat For Lashes wins.
  22. "Soundtrack" All the musical bits from each episode, all of MR.G's best bits. She's a naughty girl with a BAD HABIT! A BAD HABIT FOR DRUGS! (Ecstacy..Ecstacy...) whitechocolatespaceegg - Liz Phair Exile In Guyville is one of my best musical purchases of 2008, so I'm expanding into her other stuff.
  23. You also look like Bat For Lashes.
