I think the latter. Either way, ReZ comes off looking more retarded than before.

Just something that you think's cooler than books. But isn't.

Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows (for Wii) £60 total It was xmas money, so I'm over it. These are two main games I want for Wii too, so I'm awesomely happy. Only had a quick go on Brawl, Subspace Emissary is fun! Can't wait to try Spidey.

I assume it was a "joke". I don't recommend Madonna to anyone, in any case. But yes, Bjork would snugly fit right beside Sigur Ros in your musical quilt. And Portishead are gods. Everyone suggested is unbelievably worth it, Spenno!

---- Wall*E FINALLY saw this. It's so good! One big unsubtle social (politcal?) statement about our future, but the driving story between Wall*E and Eve/Eva was touching, and the animation unbelievable! 9/10 No idea, but there was nothing to with the cast, so I assumed they just left it all out...maybe the family can prevent them from doing it or something? Avoiding talking about what happened in terms of production after his death? I just REALLY wanted to see that. Oh well. I thought the extras on Blu-Ray were literally extras...like that crazy "MAKE YOUR OWN SCENE!" thing I've seen advertised. Not actually something that's an essential part of the concept of DVD extra features.

Is that on Blu-Ray? Are the extras different between formats? Cause the DVD making-ofs didn't seem much to me (not done them all the whole way through, but I think I saw a lot of what was on offer) Basically, the bits I'm most interested in, the story, inspiration, cast, style etc..nothing about that. I assume because they couldn't show anything with Ledger in for some strange reason? ---- Glad people generally think Mulholland Drive was as awesome as I did.

So no one else has see Mulholland Drive? I expected a flurry of "Oh yeah, that's some freaky shit!" or something. Oh well.

Yes. *listens for the first time* He's a laugh. Not sure if I'd invest in a lot of his stuff, but it's not bad.

Wait...aren't you talking about hermaphrodites? I thought "lady boys" were akin to the Lady Boys of Bangkok, as in...just transgender men, who present themselves as women, but keep male genetalia? I have no idea if the lady boys of bangkok even have male genitalia, can't say I've ever inquired to much/seen their "shows".

I didn't get socks...I don't think I ever have. They just aren't very thoughtful a present (if given generically, or whatever the term is).

Bedtime Stories is excellent, definitely Madonna's most underrated album. While Human Nature is good on it's own, it needs to be understood that it was her talking back to the media, who had fucked her around during her last album (Erotica, ironically only featuring 2 sexual songs), and the Sex book. The fact that the response song's video is what it is just sums her up for me! Sticking to her guns.

Mulholland Drive A while back I mentioned how much I loved Eraserhead, and someone recommended me Mulholland Drive. So I got that for xmas. Just finished it now. One of most...terrifying films I've seen recently. It's so fucking confusing, I have no idea what just happend. How can something not "scary"...become "scary"? Lynch is some master of his craft, cause I dont fucking know. Agh. Really affected me this has...absolutely disturbingly good. In the end, it fits together, but it doesn't at the same time. And for that reason, it's actually frightening. WTF That was extraordinary 10/10

If you tell me you first head Human Nature because of Britney's appearance on stage during it, I'll hit you. (in a friendly, yet still really disapproving way)

It's the exact opposite! It's an amazing illustration of his "madness", or whatever is happening to him. What weird thing in it isn't pertinent to the story, or is out of place? Bastard. But I did forget about Savage Grace. I loved, on 6 levels.

Forgot I also got All The Boys Love Mandy Lane on DVd also.
-
I need to add that Amadou & Mariam are absolutely fantastic. In their new CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED album, Welcome To Mali, they've worked with Damon Albarn. I love African/world music, but never really jumped on it, not knowing where to start...start here!

I generally prefer her 90's stuff, with a more hip/trip-hoppy sound to it. However, she has made some of the greatest classic (non-cheesy) pop songs of the last century too. Here's a few...don't have to listen to them all.
-
I'm not sure whether that's sarcastic, or just a really flawed comment on your part. The book in question corectly acknowledged both Like A Prayer and Ray Of Light by Madonna (and another album by her, that I wouldn't agree was her best by any means...maybe it was just "important")... --- I forgot I also got a really cool T-shirt, and purple and black checked shirt.
-
Oh, and 2 cookbooks, and the book "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die". I've confirmed I have music taste that is generally within the "good" radius.
-
Ok. *grumbles "some of her music is undeniably good, but I can see why people wouldn't like this one" then walks out*
