  1. Have you ever tried having a real fringe? The way you have the pointless bits now, but if they had more of a point? I'm just not a fan of that "I have short hair, but I'll pretend I have the ability to have a fringe anyway". (Not saying to the extent of the guy in the second photo)
  2. LOL Yep, Brown and Hennessey are still like that! We just laugh at them now...they tell us to do past papers, and if we do hand them in (it's not like they enforce it or anything... ), it's a miracle if we get them back marked. That said, the latter of the two does seem to absolutely love me. And I'm the n00biest person ever to take A-Level D.T. I got the prize last year, which I realistically didn't deserve....maybe it was my designs they liked?
  3. It arguably would have looked a lot better if you'd worn it like the guy in the second photo is wearing his. Thicker "knot", less of the neck bit showing.
  4. *nods* I have LOADS of English to do, AND soon, since It's to be marked over the holidays (a.k.a the 10 days we get, or whatever it is), so I have to e-mail it to him... Not to mention actual revision of English. And keeping up with art stuff. OH AND RESITTING D.T WHICH I SWEAR TO GOD WE ARE NOT TAUGHT PROPERLY FOR!
  5. The Tempest (Derrick Jarman's) 7.5/10 Interesting, to say the least. Some good ideas tossed about, nice style, erotic atmosphere...that said, I don't think it actually DID very much with or for the story itself. Twilight 5.9/10 MUCH better than I expected. The leads actually acted well! And it has lovely cinematography in the beautiful setting of wherever-the-hell-they-were..the grey foresty bits in the US. With all the tall trees. Rubbish story though...and I hated the fact it's a Mormonic (Moronic?) allegory. I liked the fact the the "family" wasn't cliched-ly living in a mansion, all dressed in black. They (the mum in particular) had fun with their lives. X-Men 2: X-Men United 8.9/10 Still the most "perfect" comic adaptation, IMO. Not better than Dark Knight, but it nailed it, for the X-Men. Only smalle changes I would have made, like getting Rogue/Iceman into the field properly...but no...still excellent.
  6. I am going to see (via Chairdriver's monies atm) Antony & The Johnsons! AND Bat For Lashes! Actually a bit too excited. I think Antony is during exam period...so I'm crossing my fingers I can still go.
  7. Were Blink 182 the band that did "I Miss You"? I remembered liking that when it came out, then recenty hearing it again, and thinking it was shit.
  8. In general, Tori Amos lyrics are derived from umpteen different emotions/sources, meaning the listener has to piece them into their own interpreatations. I haven't tried in particular to analyse/look into Cornflake Girl, but I know it's partially "about" female circumcision. From HereInMyHead.com;
  9. I'm not that knowledgeable about theiur stuff, all I know is that their first album (IIRC) is absolutely amazing. After falling in love with their soundtrack to Virgin Suicides, I went and bought it too. I keep hearing that Pocket Symphony (Think that's the name) by them is good too.
  10. Avvie 6/10 Not really a fan..it's too wishy-washy. And I'm an overly huge fan of anime when not in motion. It's beautiful to watch, but I'm indifferent when it's just an image. Sig 8/10 WAY better than before! I like the transparency, but it's a little busy, rather than smooth, like it "should" be. That purple plodge near the top right could go, as could the overhanging bit of line at the bottom.
  11. Cornflake Girl - 7 Hey - 2
  12. Why are you so surprised? Of course, Tori gets my vote. While 'Hey" wasn't great, it showed promise of them as a band, and I keep getting them recommended, so I'll look them up in the near future. But Cornflake Girl, though somewhat sick of it, being a HUGE EWF (Ears With Feet, a.k.a a Tori fan) as I am, It's still so utterly awesome. Cornflake Girl - 6 Hey - 2
  13. I love you both long time. Bjork - 7 RHCP - 9
  14. Well, it isn't even his song. He covered it, and that was his interpretation of it...it's not obviously about orgasming.
  15. Nice Cave wins this one.

    My Comics

    They weren't particularly funny, but they weren't "bad". I'm not a fan of the art style, either. Personally.
