  1. ^ warandchaos visits the swimming pool?
  2. Depends...I mean, I'm not asking for anything "big" this xmas, no games console, mps player, phone, or anything... Maybe around £100, but that's not with people outwith my immediate family. Oh, I dunno. No where near £600 though! *gasps*
  3. The Virgin Suicides A while back I said I wanted to see this, and Marie Antoinette. My friend got me this for my Secret Santa present (obvioiusly him as I told him I wanted to see it). A beautiful and interesting film...lot's of metaphors and stuff. The style is more wonderful than the script is, but then again, it is the lives of the sisters through the eyes of the boys. Gathered through bric-a-brac and the odd meeting. I like there's no clean-cut end/explanation..it's all there, but it's not really wrapped up for you. Loved it though. And the soundtrack by AIR was heavenly. I need it now. 8.9/10
  4. Nah...the two big staples seem to be Soak The Ephor and some cariation of waxing/shaving. One year it was waxing John Light's legs or something...another was a guy a few years above me's head shaved, this year it's a guy in my year having his chest waxed. He like this massive grizzly bear, compared to the rest of us...but yeah, left before that happened. --- Yay at first meeting of the cast of the school play, Henry V. I'm some shitty character, Thomas Grey. Still, I love the fact that there are 40 parts, all taken, and half of them are still needed as extras.
  5. Yeah hoodies are all I wear, unless I'm not wearing one.
  6. I was off ill today, which gave me a chance ot finish my english. Went in this afternoon to do my class secret santa, and to have a talk with my english teacher about my complementary study (resceduled to tomorrow). Then it was my Xmas Fair, which was typically bad and pointless (except it raises money for charity). I did a few things in xmas spirit, helped people in my mentor class (younger class I look after) go buy lemons for their balanxing fruit stall, and briefly caught "Soak The Ephor" (Prefects wearing very little being repeatedly soaked in ice cold water). I wanted to soak one of the girl ephors for the sheer love of it, but I also wanted to leave early, and none of the girls were even there at the time.
  7. At least Alexandra's passionate voice resembles the actual songs needed emotion more than JLS' atrocious Boyzoneing of it. Please don't cheesily smile at me while you sing Hallelujah, bastard.
  8. LOL @ "unlive-in-able". Try "uninhabitable"? ------ *2 days ago* Starly hadn't exactly had a pleasant night. The Screech of that Fearow being chased by the dragon had destroyed it's nest, seperating him from his mother. Not only could he not fly fully yet, the best he could do was to hop under what looked like the remains of a Silcoon chrysalis for the night, to protect against the rain. *Today* Playing dead so a passing Lass would take to a Pokemon centre worked perfectly. Sure, traditionally a pokemon would reward it's saviour by letting it be caught by them and join their party, but to be fair, Starly was only pretending to be mortally wounded. Now with his wings in better shape, he sneaked out of the window, and flew towards where he remembered the Fearow's Screech coming from. Approaching Dreggaber mountain, Starly excellent vision picked up the bright figures of other pokemon at the entrance, unusual types for this region....
  9. You should have a joke, gelling your hair into a single huge curl, referencing but not directly copying from the sirens of 1920's screen, and wear a wedding dress. Or just wear hoodies, whatever.
  10. Oh, fine. That makes the fact the original 3 starters are here even less fun.
  11. HIM - 10 Megadeth - 7 Ohnoes! Really sorry Zell! I completely forgot... In commemoration, I'm changing my vote to Megadeth too. / I was planning to anyway. Megadeth - 8 HIM - 10
  12. This would never happen for the same reason that only very famous songs/hits are ever played on X Factor. So the public can remain engaged etc. Shame. ---- Also, JLS' Hallelujah was rubbish, because they turned it into a cheesy boyband ballad. As a song, I think it needs a rough edge, whether that be acheived through a powerful voice or a sensitive, thoughtful one. JLS didn't have that.
  13. Why is Letty younger than me, yet literally 10x more fun in every respect? If I had to watch a TV show based on one N-E member, It'd be Letty in a heartbeat. Good tidings.
  14. I like how Nightwolf is like a cartoon character, always wearing what seems to be the same clothes! Duchess of Hoodie.
  15. iTunes is always on when I'm using the Mac, except on VERY rare occasions, as I said, souble scrobbles often, plus iPod plays get scrobbled too. Chemo Limo is beautiful-er...because there's an incredible sense of humanity and maternal instinct in it. Breathtaking. Chemo Limo is beautiful-er...because there's an incredible sense of humanity and maternal instinct in it. Breathtaking. The Call is bit saccharine, and just isn't as "good" as Wunderkind by Alanis Morissette (from the first film). I forgot Regina even featuired in Caspian, I remember that being the best bit now...
  16. By the way, I bagsy this sprite; Forced to slug a bucket of pokeballs with him, containing fairly rare pokemon, but they're all for sale as pets, and in any case, It's funnier using a really uncliched Starly.
  17. Try 76488 plays, just from iTunes (occasionaly have to use Cd player, but not enough to affect the count massively), in 18 months. But then my scrobbler has a tendency to scrobble random song twice.
  18. US politics is so petty and bitchy, it's ridiculous.
  19. To us realistic Brits, but not to the americanos.
  20. I was about to say that I always liked "1000 Miles", but then realised that's Vanessa Carlton. Who's Michelle Branch again?
  21. I agree with the sentiment that people should actually discuss the music they like, it doesn't have to be one singular conversation. Some people can be discussing the mertis of The Pussycat Dolls career, while others can be discussing how awesome Bloody Beetroots were last night etc. It's just a simple case of using the quote button to show what you're referencing in your post.
  22. I agree. That's why I loved this year's line-up, especially Diana, Rachel and Ruth. They all represented something different from the X Factor norm. Diana I was sick of by the end, but she still represented "quirky". Rachel, while potentially just another Winehouse-clone, showed she had a love of music by choosing challenging songs for herself, when she didn't need to. Ruth was feisty/rocky etc. That said, the final 3 showed that the public still just wants a pleasant distraction in their ears.
  23. Yeah, but I never forget about Rapidash, I always forget about Ninetales.
  24. It's about making a point. It could be anyone's version of Hallelujah, or really, just ANY other song. Not about exposure/success.
