  1. To be fair to me, I didn't say anything fanboyish about her...I merely stated my dislike of Fall Out Boy, and made a comment about what Villain said, which wasn't actually anti-FOB, just ironic (I think?), and I enjoyed the feeling of noticing it.
  2. You should base your vote on the song, not the video, fans of said song, what the artist is wearing..etc. Anything...
  3. I'd say get rid of it, as it just looks like my uncle 20 years ago. Which is freaky (to me). But otherwise, it looks fine to me.
  4. Yeah, I loved A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. But their second one is just boring. But then so is everything I've heard from FOB. Except this song.
  5. I prefer it to the more generic styles going around now. Like the pic of wolvie in your sig, it's nice, but kinda generic in it's style. Obviously all comic artists are uber-talented, but I love ones with their own definitive style.
  6. Precious Things - 5 kthxbai - 3 EDIT: Ok, well I didn't know that.
  7. Though it's an inevitable win for Fail Out Boy, I must just say that I'm in awe of that Precious Things performance. My favourite artist...she is like a force of nature on stage, it's different every time. Precious Things (Live) without any doubt in my mind. And that's the only Fail Out Boy I like, since it's actually pretty decent. I lol'd at this (nothing against you, btw), simply because Tori Amos is literally a piano prodigy. Youngest person ever at one of those conservatory things in the US. Just a funny contrast. Anyway.
  8. Y'all know the rules by now. 9. This picture is a lovely, but not as good version of one of Letty's BISH's I loved from the last game. I might have actually saved it, it was so good. *looks* No, obviously not. I'll just keep searching for my father's power.
  10. How can it be worse than 2 Girls 1 Cup? Though I've not seen it, thankfully, I've read enough about it.
  11. Literally all we ever looked for.
  12. Ok. The Rip - Winning... Other song (can't arsed clickig back a page now..) - 2
  13. Cat Power is famous for her covers, and has 2 covers albums that are well-regarded and accepted as a normal part of her/their discography (never sure if Cat Power refers to just Chan Marshall or the band as well). I can imagine her doing patience very well actually. Better than Gary Barlow. Her doing Girlfriend would be a bit pointless, though, as she can't add anything to it. But yeah, the thing is, I cannot think about what a Diana album would sound like. She hasn't got ambience in her voice, so she can't really carry off an album of similar sounding songs like Cat Power could. I dunno. By the end, I only appreciated her for representing "alternative" music in X Factor for the first time. There's no need for her in the music world, but then, there's probably more need for her than Eoghan (NEVER), JLS (boring), or Alexandra (nothing distinguishing about her voice). I actually think what I mentioned a second ago makes most sense summarising my feelings. She has no ambience in her voice. It sounds raw and obtuse, and more often that not, not in a pleasant way. She should do electro music. Become Roisin Murphy-esque. That would be a better route for her than the typical bland x-factor debut album.
  14. Because (in this case) Diana's voice had no form of comfort zone at all. Her tone puts in the same ship as both Cat Power and people like Duffy, but obviously she's not as "good" as Duffy, but her voice wasn't soft either. Dido is probably a better comparison than Cat Power, but same thing goes. There's no much middle ground between hauntingly soft or powerful with that type of "raspy" voice.
  15. The first one's ok, but they both verge on the "DeviantArt-fantasy-art-of-me-as-a-vampire-slash-angel-crying-blood" style. Kinda anonymous digital art. (Mainly the second one, and Songbird's face in the first one) One of my all-time favourites; Frank Quitely Love the style. It's so comfortable to look at. It's clean and intricate, but not tight. And it's not mucky and balrh like the guy who took over from him on New X-men after a while... Love love love. Love the fact his women aren't all supermodel-faced, but have odd, exaggerated proportions etc. Love how everyone looks slightly asian too.
  16. Also, I don't think one should listen to foreign music and then need to translate the lyrics. Wouldn't you agree that most of the charm is that fact it's in japanese? (or *insert other language* depending on what you're listening to)
  17. Anna Faris is in Lost In Translation?
  18. Why are you so good? I would never have anticipated anyone here to actually know, let alone love, a B-side/cover by them. ------ Dark End Of The Street EP - Cat Power Bought this yesterday, as she is fantastic. More covers, like her last album, Jukebox, but this sounds...fuller. More like her old style, maybe. Dunno. (Better) She's what Diana Vickers wishes she could be...
  19. Yeah but to be fair, I'd prefer to do a book they know well.
  20. EDITED OUT
  21. Me, love. I'm in. *thinks up Bishes*
  22. ? The earth are you on about? Every single one of her albums has been critically acclaimed...with the most recent getting the most "mixed" reviews. (Understandably) Talk about selling her short.
  23. yeahbutBjork'sundeniablyamazing : peace: Seriosuly though, I understand. I just didn't think it was particularly interesting in any way...it was just "nice", which as you said, would be enough to beat a lot of the stuff in this contest, no doubt. Just not the song of the year.
  24. I lol'd. ---- Hamlet by William Shakespeare Technically a play, but hey, it's analyses is done through the text. And it's a 4 hour long play, and so is a fairly sizeable book too. Loved it. Less fun than The Tempest (did that last year/revising it now), but a lot darker and deeper in it's characterisation. Of course it couldn't get anything less than 10/10. I love reading Shakespeare though.
