Lamb - 12 Iron Maiden - 6 Eenuh, I take you own their first album? I just bought it (finally) and it's amazing!
-
Well I dunno what I am...I guess I'm not really a fan, but I do enjoy some of the stuff she's put out. Though realistically that consists of her last 2-3 albums and an occasional browsing of her greatest hits. So I'm not an avid "fan".

Rez, I quite like the spot and square ones. They're minimalist, but the patterns are fuzzy and engaging. I'm really not keen on those "flare" designs...just an extremely obtuse-to-the-eye design. ---- Question; Can one upload and sell T-shirts that might be referencing established properties? Like If I made one using song lyrics from big name artists? Or a famous design like the bat symbol, etc.

I quite like it as a video...nothing that original though. Is that a slightly remixed version? Was that high pitched spiralling sound near the end in the album version? Cause I think it adds to the song, cause combined with her high speed, compacted vocals, it's a bit like falling into a dark-wierd-circusy nightmare. (I quite like the song though) It's hardly "love" worthy though.

Lily Allen hops on the poptronica bandwagon, like everyone else...but I quite like it. Not as sharp as the first album, but then it's only one track.

I love getting the tree..didn't get one last year as we were in Florida all of December. Can't wait to put ours up! I insist on a real one, quite big, and taking AGES decorating it. Since I'm a romantic fool about christmas. No fakirs around my house.

LOL! Well..technically she just used ot work at Cancerlink or something when she lived in London, and notable people she examined for breast lumps were PJ Harvey ( ), Carol Decker (of T'Pau fame), Someone Shapiro and CeCe Peniston. Lol my mum wasn't involved with a reunion tour...a family friend (we're all very close, so effectively family) has started playing with her band Pollen again...and is finally recording an album. She had up till now been with the fairly successful Bevvy Sisters, and during the summer, the Loveboat. Pollen has played in America and stuff, and got pretty awesome reviews, so I'm glad they're trying to get out there more/again. The castle is owned by my uncle (who lives in it). It's Hutton Castle/Hall, which used to be the home of whatshisname Burrell, who has the Burrell Collection of antiques (there's a museum in Glasgow). All the typical castle stuff like suits of armour and amazing portraits left when he did, but are kept in Glasgow. It was just bought by my dad's side of the family for a relatively low price as most of the pricy stuff had gone, and the castle itself was in a state of disrepair (a few of the toppermost areas are still dangerous to walk across/inhabited by bats). My uncle is literally a superhero though, and has made it habitable over about 20 years. And eventually, it'll be passed down to me.

Lamb - 6 Iron Maiden - 4
-
Malcolm Middleton - 7 Rihanna - 0
-
You got the names mixed around.
-
Both were rather dull, with Malcolm Middleton being 7 times less dull. If you're going to nominate a Rihanna song, why choose a b-side that wasn't good enough for the album proper?

RULES; Basically, 63 (and one randomly chosen song) tracks have been nominated by our forum members to go head to head against one another. All matches have been ranomly decided using a number randomizer thingie, sp it's fair. 1. Before voting for which song you choose, you MUST listen to both songs in FULL. If you see a band you love against an unknown, that is not an excuse to instantly vote for that band. Another point of this whole game is to expose new music to people. Base it truthfully on your favourite, not on who you THINK'll be your favourite. 2. No flaming, not that I imagine there will be. 3. If all 3 of your choices are knocked out, please continue to post! You agreed to do so by nominating. Plus it's good for expanding musical horizons. 4. have fun, it's a game blah blah JUST VOTE. 5. ATM, i'm going at 2 threads created a day, one closed a day. Or actually just 1 open, 1 closed. Whatever. ----- Match 9 Cry - Rihanna Fuck It I Love You - Malcolm Middleton ----- Match 1: Led Zeppelin vs. Train Match 2: Faith No More vs. Oasis Match 3: Sigur Ros vs. Foreign Beggars Match 4: Maximum The Hormone vs. Santana Match 5: Avril Lavigne vs. Lady GaGa Match 6: ? Match 7: ? Match 8: ?

Gorecki I just bought the self titled album last night, love Lamb. Iron Maiden I've never been a fan of...just sounded like a boring metal track only really appreciable live.
-
I love. Not only because it's a lovely song, but cause my mum's felt her boobs up before.

Ok, this match is now closed, winner being Avril Lavigne.
-
Radiohead = 12 Polysics = 6

I know exactly how you feel Villain...I mean some of the matches have artists which in my head I know are amazing (and general music criticism know are good), but I also KNOW will lose to the much more popular artist they're going against. Of course it'll be a crime against everything I stand for, but then it was ALL randomised... ----- Hallelujah - Dominating Use Somebody - Not

The Lost World was the first JP film I saw at the cinema, and it was best thng ever when I did. Watching them all back nowadays, the first one is the most "complete", and engaging, but the second one still has my fave moment of all three; when Julianne Moore is lying almost unconcious on that splintering pane of glass, overlooking a 2zillion foot drop. I did enjoy the third one...just less dramatic or interesting. Quite short.

I'm staying up, as I had a 2 hour sleep at 9pm-11pm. So I can browse for a pointless amount of time spending too much money on stuff I kinda wanted off iTunes.

When I posted, I wasn't sure, but then I was gonna get Lady GaGa's album, which annoyingly isn't out her until January. But I eased my pain by buying Lamb's self-titled album, and Leona's Run cover. *must stop buying music*

QUESTION; If I buy something off iTunes Ireland, for example, (I'm actually on iTunes UK), would it work? As is, DL to my library as normal?

Well yeah, I mean loadso f songs I love will definitely lose against the competition. I mean there's one of my favourite songs ever against an ok rock track that will crush it. But yeah. Luck o' the draw.
