  1. Girls; Toran Tegan Marianne Ophelia Michaela (Feels funny, since I'd never in a million years call my son Michael) Ava Isobel Shakira Boys: Hal (Technically a shortening of my name, Henry, and i hate passing on the parents names as it seems lazy and less fun, but I love it as an actual name) Tristan Salvador
  2. I preferred The Kinks. But as everyone's said, Devo weren't bad.
  3. Best album of 2008 was Third by Portishead. Not exactly easy listening though. --- In other news, I'm fucking addicted to Liz Phair (pre-2003, when she infamously givei t all up to be a shitty pop whore). Exile In Guyville is a widely regarded classic. Fuck & Run Johnny Feelgood The Divorce Song
  4. I love the fact that We Float is not exactly the style of song PJ is known for, yet it so utterly wonderful. We Float all the way.
  5. Only for one lovely scene. To be fair, 3 people have shown their love for it, so you may as well. I don't hate it as a film at all. It's just not that good. Nancy Drew One of my sayings is "Nancy Drew!" for no reason whatsoever. Knew nothing abiut her other than that she was a fictional girl detective. So as a joke my sister got me the DVD. It felt like a jokey film at points. I love the fact she holds a bomb with a timer counting down from 10 seconds in her hands for a pointless amount of time before disposing of it in slo-mo. Plus Emma Roberts is prettier than Julia. 5/10 Enjoyable.

  8. CLOSED, Chrono Trigger winning.
  9. I want to name my children unique names, but without sounding ridiculous. I like Greek names (as in ancient), but that could be shortened to sound less odd if necessary.
  10. Southland Tales The controversially...odd offering from the writer/director of Donnie Darko. Literally one of the most enjoyable films I've seen this year, simply because it contains too many elements that reflect aspects of my friends and I's humour. I literally lol'd at too many bits. SO fucking confusing, I know what happened in the end, but ask me to repeat how everything got there/is connected, I couldn't tell you. It seemed to be influenced by a things like Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns/Strikes Again!, especially Krysta Now's talk show. In fact I loved Sarah Michelle Gellar throughout. I also thought Rock was good, considering I didn't know he could act and stuff. Loved his final scene with the lovely asian villainess, Serpentine. OMG I remember now! I found the fact that the government were facing "terrorist threats" from a woman called Deepthroat2 absolutely hilarious. Love/10
  11. I'd give Elektra 2 too. 1 for the fact that it's actually promising up till 20/25 minutes in, and 1 for the fact she looks way hotter than in Daredevil.
  12. 1/10 is too harsh, I'd say. I'd say around 4. I enjoy it. (for what it is) I when I had an Evenescence fetish years ago, I loved the scene with Elektra stabbing all the sandbags to "Bring Me To Life".
  13. You have a rectangular head. It's quite interesting though.
  14. Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging I watched this as I told her I would after making her see The Dark Knight (which she did love, despite being a 12 year old girl). This was typical, unbelievable stuff, made funny by my witty comments (as with most mediocre films). I quite like how the main girl was pretty, but at the same time wasn't. 4.9/10 Because I had a nice time watching it.
  15. Ok. I'll bear that in mind.
  16. I heard it last night, late. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me.
  17. i'm not going to lie, I would support you if you grew your hair back, just cause long hair is technically nicer to look at. However, short hair seems to suit you more.
  18. LOL! Haven't you heard the term "From the same school of..." before? It's just a term of phrase, to indicate that 2 things are related. They have a similar singing style/voice, not that they literally went to the same school! : peace:
  19. I'm lazy in general, and so the idea of reading a new bok that doesn't immediatelt grab me is initially daunting to me, but I know that books are just outstanding as a medium. I mean the books I've read in school (last few years) are revelatory. They require analysis, but I love that (except essay writing, but that's my laziness). I love finding meanings within things, meataphors, symbolism etc. That's why I love "mindfuck" films.
  20. I literally ejaculated "You Cunt!" when I clicked that. I should have known, having just done the exact same thing in the My Comics thread.
  21. You define "Oh No!" sometimes. Seeing the film, giving it 8/10, then planning on buying the books?! Why not just read a real book?
  22. WRONG! "This" Kiss. Idiot! I just remember listening to that a few years back in Florida, and thinking it was cool that it had such a lovely lyric, when on the same day I first heard it, I also "rode" Mission:SPACE in Epcot, which is basically being unhealthily (people die/are rushed to hospital from this thing) spun around at a zillion miles an hour in a sealed room.
  23. So one of the many characters was (arguably) developed. Therefore it has good character development? I shant lie though, I thought the girl was good. She felt real/I loved her face.
