Hey, I'm a Mac user, and was just wondering, as I watch a lot of DVDs on it, I'd love to know if it was region-free. I want Season 2 of Twin Peaks, but to buy it for this region is very expensive, but it's decently priced were I to get Region 1. My dad mentioned something about it locking onto a certain region after a few DVDs of that region have been used in it... Anyone know?

Not tried Dry Bones yet. I remember I have him on Mario Kart DS and he was ok. Birdo is the pink dragon. Like the female version of Yoshi, but with a massive hole where her face should be. She's awesome. She feels like she actually intends to win, by ant means necessary, compared to the sappy Peach/Daisy.

I dunno, i'm under the impressions from everyone else applying that it's later on. Many are doing direct application anyway. (I think I'm gonna stay in Edinburgh for a foundation course at Leith anyway...probs don't need UCAS for that. Apparently it's not overly new coming from the academy art dept., but I feel I dunno...uninspired and cramped at the moment).

Election Wow! That was exactly what the quote on the front says, "A Genuinely Outstanding Film". Not a drama or epic that pulls on your heartstrings, but an expertly crafted and thoughtful tale of the role of ethics, morals, ambition, and misconception, set in and around a High school preseidential election. It's also hilarious at times. 9.5/10

Not for art applicants...? I was told anyway. Yeah. It's later. Or maybe...that's Route B only. For me it's the end of the month, I think.

I've not learnt to use manual yet. I got all confused and kept sliding off things. I will one day. Just unlocked Dry Bones, yay! Characters I don't have; Dry Bowser, Bowser JR., Mii, Roaslina (she'll be a pain to get without owning Galaxy), Baby Daisy, Daisy, Baby Luigi...think that's it. Is R.O.B in it?

Hmm yeah, though it doesn't come across as such from hearing the singles standalone, it reminds me of Madonna's Confessions On A Dancefloor, in that it's an electropop/dance album that works extremely well/better as one big whole. As I said, just on second listen now, so I'll think about some of the ones I initially didn't warm to this time round.

I love the idea of this already. I need a go at some point.

See, I actually own a fair amount of Placebo stuff, but I'm sick to death of this song now, and they have much better stuff. I much preferred Eagles Of Death Metal if I'm honest, and I might actually pick up Heart On at some point. EoDM: 5 Placebo: 2

I kinda want to just not eat for a while, to lose weight. (Obviously eat...but just little/better stuff) I'll do it after these exams though. After that I'll think about exercise to build it up or whatever, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Yeah, serious artists should focus on making the album. Any singles should be merely an afterthought. Obviously the record company may have more than a hand in how aand in what form an album reaches the shelves in more marketable acts. ---- Ok, Haggis; I've enjoyed my first listen of The Fame, going back around now, on Just Dance, which is still fun and fresh. Glad I bought the album, it all sounds much better in context. I mean, few of the album tracks match up to the heights of Just Dance and (to a lesser extent Poker Face) except maybe Paparazzi and The Fame, and maybe Boys Boys Boys. There is a lot of Uffie influence in this album, never a bad thing. (Uffie being the girl who is most famous for singing on The Party on Justice's first album) I mean some just feel like well executed filler. Like Love Game. And Beautiful Dirty Rich. It sounds like she thought of the titles before the actual content (In fact i'd bet on it). And it doesn't quite mesh.

Obviously All Is Full of Love pwns all in terms of being gut-wrenchingly. unbearably beautiful. That the video is the visual companion in ever way to the song is just unbelievable. Art in motion, and in aural form. Thanks to Chris Cunningham and Bjork. If you'd told me a few years ago that one of the most truly moving videos/songs I'd ever see/hear would focus on lesbian robots being repaired, I wouldn't have believed you.

It looks very squint in the photo, and the thickness of each cog being all over the place...I assume that's not the case in real life?

I don't think you'll get/like the real Mulholland Drive.

My pet history; -Sarah and Jamie, my two pet goldfish. Both died within 4 weeks of getting them. -Unknown Hamster. This was actually lent to us by a family friend was going away for a few months. - Boo, our cat. Not exactly pedigree (child of incest), and was given to us by family friends for a a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine. She was always odd and anti-social. Sadly, she was run over a few days after we went to Florida in 2007.

That's an amazing (ly sad) song.

The Music Thread would encompass this entire thread wellenough. Beautiful music can be the most powerful tpe of music, but it's a very vague term. However, I have been as heartbroken by the prescence of a song than by the a cappellaLlorando in Mulholland Drive, by Rebekah Del Rio. However, the film needs to be watched with the song in it, so I won't post it.
