  1. The end of 2001 is incredible, and as Jay says, context is everything. I might have died if I saw that in 1969. I loved everything about it. It was very literally, stunning. I STILL haven't seen Apocalypse Now, despite being assured I'll love it, and actually studying HoD last year. have it on video, but i hate the concept of video when I can just buy the DVD.
  2. ReZ'll be cumming.
  3. Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb A brilliant political satire, some great performances here, from Peter Sellars (thrice!) and George Scott (or whatever his name was). Overall hugely affacted. I was both amused and disturbed. I plan on watching more Kubrick, only seen 2001, which blew me away completely. 10/10 or something.
  4. Av - Random old man = 3. Sig - Bit unimaginative. 4
  5. Yeah I'm bored of making fun of religion now! I wish America would get a life.
  6. I had a brick one with an aerial knob thing when I was 11, in...2003? Never really had an overly snazzy phone, just good ones, since.
  7. I've not seen the whole thing, I think only the first and last season, but I was never ever blown away by it.
  8. Obviously I'm playing.
  9. YES. Memories are cascading back into my head.
  10. It's not throwaway at all. It's great. Complex and compelling as I keep loving to say. It's better than the film in every way imaginable.
  11. I knew the Hellfire Club would accept your application to be Black Rook. Fuck you Goblyn Queen! (excuse to post image)
  12. I love. Could be the thing an assassin says before completing a kill.
  13. They just feel pointless and shit compared to the rest of the series. Like, the reason I bought collected Essential X-Men and not Wolverine Unleashed back in the day. He's in X-Men anyway, I'm not interested in him fighting Hulk/Wendigo for an episode. SPOILERXXLX
  14. Got up, watched the rest of Heathers. Listening to I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got by Sinead O'Connor...really good. She's definitely more than just Nothing Compares 2 U.
  15. Heathers I loved. So much. Blacker than coal. I loved Veronica's single Outwit + Stealth click. 9/10
  16. As I said, the first few were like "Hmm, this is ok, bearing in mind I hate the idea of Wolvey being the main character" and so on. But then it gets really good once it's "set up" so to speak. And Wolvey isn't the main focus in every episode thankfully. It's just a really well told story, considering ALL the stuff it crams in, and the sheer deluge of characters in includes from the Marvel Universe. Complex and compelling. It's different to Spidey, I think I prefer this, but then it's a bit more complex and involving, and epic. It's literally an epic, spanning realities/time etc. Spidey's still good though. Both series have surprised me actually, I always preferred DC cartoons. Peculiarly, Colossus is part of the original promo image and has an action figure, but IIRC, he's yet to appear properly. Maybe next series. EDIT: There are a few skippable episodes in X-Men, but then there's double the amount of episodes than Spider-Man. And they're only skippable cause it's just shit ones about Wolverine fighting various Marvel characters that has nothing to do with anything.
  17. All of Wolverine & The X-Men series 1. Expected this to be crap, and the first episode or 2 weren't amazing, but it weaves such a a rich tale, taking from all aspects of the X-universe, with elements used and fused together excellently. I mean, if someone told me that 27 episodes would effectively cover
  18. A lovely night in town with just a couple of guys. Ended up just bar-crawling, as most clubs were closed/too good for us underage peeps. Then one of us leapt over a bollard. fell and smashed his nose. Not badly, but we were concerned. Then randomly these two canadian girls came over and took him away from us up the road. It was surreal. Pretty sure he thought he was going to have a threesome or something, but yeah in the end we all just chatted and he came back to a pub with us, from which we shipped him off in a taxi to hospital. A stunningly long walk home in the rain.
  19. I wish I knew when my exams were. AFAIK my next one is 5th June, but I'm not sure. I wish I could revise.
  20. Wow. What a shock. I have decent-good music taste. Call the police. I warned you all. Seriously though, glad people are actually checking her out. I'm not going on about shit here. Also glad you started at the beginning, it only gets better, until The Beekeeper. Then it goes really, "...".
  21. Chair came round and so know I have just acquired Iron and Wine's new album and Grizzly Bears new one.
